What Are You Gonna Do About It?

She is the smart girl, sitting in the front of the class, answering every question correctly, always turning in assignments weeks before they were due.

Him, not so much. He sits in the back, always drifting off, and talking back to the teacher with a sassy remark. He never turned in his homework, but still passed the class; teachers were too scared of him to fail him, and they honestly didn't want him in their classes again.

She always looked back at him in the back of the classroom, feeling bad for him. He was dooming his future by not getting a proper education, and she knew that he knew this as well.

An unlikely pair. Until they are forced to do a project together for science.

She walked back to his seat, as he refused to move, and sat in the empty chair beside his. After getting all her papers out and ready, she turned to him. "Hi, I'm Petr-"

"I already know who you are, dumbass." He cut her off.

Petra eyed him for a moment, surprised that he called her a dumbass. If anyone here is a dumbass, it's you. She thought.

"Well then, shall we get star-"

"You can get started," He cut her off once again, "I'm going to take a nap." He placed his arms on top of each other, slightly crossed, on his desk, then layed his head on top of them.

Petra sighed in annoyance. "Listen here, I don't know who you think you are, but you can't just-"

"Shut it blondie," He interrupted, "I'm trying to sleep."

"I am not a blonde you idiot! Maybe you should go back to kindergarden, and learn your colors."

"Are you trying to insult me?"

"Maybe I am! I don't care! You need to get your head off the desk, and start helping me on this project before I kick your ass!" Petra cursed.

"Oh?" He lifted his head. "Did the teacher's pet just say a cuss?"

"So what? Like you haven't sworn before." Petra crossed her arms.

"Caught me there," He sat back in his chair, the front legs lifted off the floor, "but it's not usual to hear you say that, princess."

"Don't call me that!" Petra snapped.

"Oh, someone's feisty." He smirked.

"Whatever."

"Well, have fun with this project, I'm leaving." He got up from his seat.

"Oh no you don't." Petra grabbed his shirt, and roughly pulled him back into his chair. "You are gonna stay here until the end of the hour, and help me with this project." She ordered sternly.

"You can't tell me what to do, Ral." He looked her straight in the eye, only inches away from her face.

"Well, I just did," Petra glared, "so what are you gonna do about it, Ackerman?"

 "Are you threatening me?"

"So what if I am? Not like you'd do anything about it." She smirked. "You're all talk, no actions."

"You may be a girl, but that doesn't mean I won't kick your ass."

"Please," Petra rolled her eyes, "you wouldn't do a thing."

"Is that a challenge?"

"No, it's a fact."

"Well facts are nothing once they're proven lies."

"Facts are everything, because they have already been proven true."

"Who says?"

"Who says what?"

"That a fact is true."

"That doesn't even make sense."

"It does, you're just not smart enough to know it."

"That coming from you? Priceless."

"When did you get so cocky, princess?"

"Don't call me that!"

"Why not? It suits you."

"Whatever." Petra dropped the conversation. "Just help me on this project! If I don't get an A because of you, I will kill you."

"With what? Safety scissors?"

Petra balled her hands in fist, then in one swift movement, she picked up her text book, and slammed it right into Levi's face with a loud smack!

Her actions drew the attention of the other students, who gasped in surprise.

"Did she just hit him?"

"She would never hurt anyone, she's a goody goody."

"Well, she just smacked him with a book."

"Who knows, maybe he just provoked her."

"I'll never get her mad..."

"Well," Levi wiped the blood from his nose, "seems like someone's mad."

"Watch your mouth or I'll hit you again." Petra warned.

"Alright," Levi threw his hands up defensively, "whatever you say, princess."

Petra grabbed the book again, "Call me that again, I dare you."

"What? Princess?"

Smack!

~~~~
"So, he fell, and hit his head on a huge flat rock?" The nurse asked, raising a brow.
"Yup," Petra smiled innocently, "that's exactly what happend."
"No," Levi spoke, "you-"
"He probably doesn't remember anything, he hit that rock pretty hard." Petra interrupted Levi.
"If you say so..." The nurse shook her head, "Okay, so I'll go bring the files to the office. He should be fine, nothing too serious. You can stay here for a couple of minutes, then you have to get back to class." The nurse smiled, and left.
"Did you just lie?" Levi asked.
"No!" Petra shouted defensively, then crossed her arms, "It's not lying, it's just bending the truth." She shrugged.
"Bending the truth? Yeah, bending it til it snaps in half."
"Shut up. You're lucky I don't have my textbook."
"Whatever you say, princess."
"Stop calling me that!"
"Well, let's start heading back to class."
"Why?"
"We have a project to work on, don't we, Petra?"
