Kyle's POV

It was 10 years ago when I met this people, my highschool classmates. We've all grown up and became successful persons. I never expected they will be like that, who knows naman diba?

That's why when Olivia, our class president before sent us an info that there will be a homecoming, I was in doubt. Not because ayokong pumunta o may iniiwasan. Its just napakabusy ko lang these past few days.

Because of too much workloads pending, and other things, I was not able to make it to help them in decorating. Loko talaga 'tong mga tropa ko. They even think iniiwasan ko si Gia, but not that really, busy talaga ako.

Gia. Hmmm how should I start. Since we broke up, wala na akong balita about her. Lately ko nalang nalaman na she's one of the topnotchers of CPA board exams. She is also currently working at a famous accounting firm according to Adrian, Claire's boyfriend and Gia's bestfriend. Even though we're exes right now, I'm still proud of her achievements. Atleast even without me, she still manage to make it.

This day homecoming happened. Yes, last minute kahit papaano nakaabot ako sa opening walk. I really don't expect na si Gia ang makakapartner ko. She's looking beautiful in her orange dress. She look shocked when she see me. I feel awkward too but hindi ko na pinahalata. She even go outside to get some air to breathe. I even do the same. I tried to reach out to her, but she refused. I understand. Hindi ko na pinilit. We stayed awkward until dinner time. She don't eat that much, maybe she lost her appetite. I look at her, checking if kumain sya, pero kaunti lang talaga kinain nya. She noticed na I'm looking at her, but she didn't bother and shook her head away. Hindi ko sya masisisi if gusto niyang umiwas.

The party portion of the event asked all of us to dance. All of them dance to the dancefloor, except for Gia and I. She looks uncomfortable. Even her friends tried to convince her to dance but she refused. Wala talaga sya sa mood.

After party music, they played a sweet dance music. I tried to invite Gia to dance. She responded not that long, but a short one. Medyo matagal pa sya bago sumagot. We danced like a prince and princess. Tahimik lang sya the whole moment. I feel her uncomftiness kaya hindi ko masyadong pinapakita sa kanya na ganun rin ang nafefeel ko. The music stopped and we both looking at each other. Nagulat sya ulit at umiwas ng tingin sa akin.

Kasama ang tropa, we agreed to stay a little longer. We decided to go in a bar, still located here sa place. I went  first to the carpark, to check something. Sila Adrian nauna na with the tropa. Kasama nila si Claire pero I was wondering if nasaan si Gia. Maybe she went home already.

Finally I see the bar, it is small but can accomodate people. Sakto at wala masyadong tao.

I was shocked to see Gia drinking lots of beer in a can. Wait, kailan pa 'to natutong uminom?!. Naabutan ko pang naiinis si Claire, giving her a sermon. Bakit ba siya umiinom? I don't get the point why she's drinking that much.

Dominic give me a sign to sit in with them, but on the other table, adjacent to the table where Gia is drinking. I just drink a little, hindi naman kasi ako umiinom ng sobra. But I still looking at Gia from time to time.

"Bro, lasing na ata si Gia.", Dominic said.

" Kyle, una na kami ni Claire ha.", biglang sabi ni Adrian.

"Kyle, sorry pero pwede pakicheck from time to time  si Gia? Hindi ko na kasi sya mahahatid. Hindi naman ako lasing, nakainom lang hehe.", Claire told me while smiling.

" Sure. I'll contact you if may naging problema.", I replied to Claire and waved good bye to them.

Kami nalang ni Xavier at Caleb ang naiwan. But after a few minutes, umalis na rin sila. Kami nalang ni Gia ang naiwan.

I was about to go out to call my workmate when I see Gia standing and trying to walk on her own but I rushed to her quickly when she lost her senses. Bigla nalang hinimatay sa lasing.

Good thing I catch her on time, or else bagsak sya ng tuluyan sa floor.  I asked the bartender to give me a glass of water. Pinainom ko sya and luckily she regain her senses again. But the problem is lasing na lasing.

"Uwi na tayo.", Gia said in a soft voice.

Ugh. Paano 'to? Saan ko 'to iuuwi? I don't even know where she stays. Hindi naman pwede sa condo ko baka anong isipin nito.

Wait. Maybe I should try to message Claire. Baka alam nya where Gia stays.

Claire, may I ask. Saan ba si Gia nakatira? She was totally drunk right now. Nahimatay na nga but she regain her senses.

Luckily, Claire was online.

Omg! Sabi ko na kasi sa kanya na huwag magpakalasing. Hays. Hmm wait lang, send ko nalang maya konti. Nasa cr pa kasi ako hehe.

Few minutes after I chatted Claire, she send the details where Gia was staying. It was a  well known condominium in the country, Sunrise Condominium. As far as I know, ang gaganda ng amenities and services ng condo units nila.

I accompanied Gia, supporting her body going through the carpark. Baka matumba pa 'to ulit, kargo de konsensya ko na talaga kapag may nangyari dito. I let her enter first the car and I followed after. I make sure na nakaseat belt sya. I drive going to her condo unit. I log in first to the logbook of the condo before entering. The receptionist asked what happened and I said nagkiparty party lang kaya nalasing.

We reached the second floor of the building. Nasa second floor kasi daw yung unit nya, according to Claire. I find the keys in her bag, mabuti nalang organized syang mag ayos ng clutch bag nya kaya I manage to find it quickly.

Patawa tawa pa rin siya. It seems hindi nya alam na nakauwi na sya, of course with my help. I placed her in the sofa while I get some towel. Binasa ko ang towel at pinunasan ang mukha nya. She looks so cute at beautiful as usual. I removed her heels so that she can rest her feet well.

"Kyle, I'm sorry. Please don't leave.", she said in a sad voice, still in the spirit of alcohol.

" Shhhh, tulog na", I replied to her.

I bring Gia to her bedroom. I didn't remove anything she's wearing. Instead, I covered her with the blanket and watch her sleeping. I just sat in a small couch near her bed. Sinisigurado ko lang na maayos syang natutulog.

I just stay here sa condo nya until morning, maybe. I decided to sleep outside, sa sofa. I set my alarm on my phone so that magigising ako, to prepare food for breakfast. Sunday naman bukas so it's fine that I can stay her tonight.

I still care for her. Yes, I still love her. Pero hindi yun magiging madali. I admit I did many wrong decisions, but willing akong bumawi. Para kay Gia. Para sa amin.
