Kyle's POV

I don't have work on Sundays. Depende if may conference or what. But unexpectedly, nagkaroon ng conference with my co-Engineers kaya I need to report after breakfast with Gia.

After the conference, I decided to invite Gia for a lunch. This time, treat ko. Anything she wants, I will give to her. She deserves to be spoil and treated like a princess. This time mag-uumpisa na akong bumawi sa kanya.

Luckily, after how many years she accepted my requests on her different social media accounts.That's why I decided to message her and ask if she wants to have lunch, with me.

Me:

Thanks for accepting me. By the way, I just want to invite you for lunch? Half day lang rin naman ako dito sa office.

She replied to my message.

From Gia Kristine Salvador:

Sure! No worries! Lunch? saan? baka busy ka ha? Pero okay lang lunch naman din maya maya. :)

She replied quickly and we both agreed to have lunch together.

Me:

It's up to you kung saan. :) My treat.

From Gia Kristine Salvador:

Jollibee tayo? okay lang ba sayo? May malapit dito sa condo ko. Chat me if done ka na dyan sa work mo so that I can prepare. :)

Me:

Sure :) Give me your number instead so that I can contact you properly. Di ako sanay dito sa messenger.

I even ask for her personal mobile number for the first time, since I am not fond of using messenger. Minsan lang talaga ako gumagamit ng messenger kapag needed or may mga notifs from work, etc.

Almost 10 in the morning when the conference done. I immediately cancelled all of my appointments that moment para makapaglunch kami ni Gia and to spend the whole day with her.

Before I went to the carpark, I texted her to know if she's prepared already or not.

Me:

Hello! This is Kyle. Ready ka na? Sunduin na kita dyan?

From Gia Kristine Salvador:

Yep, kanina pa ako ready. Atm eating chips. :)

Me:

I see. Baka hindi ka na makakain nyan mamaya ha? Sayang, madaming nagugutom ngayon. :)

Maybe she's already hungry, that's why pati chips, kinain na. Hindi na makapaghintay.

From Gia Kristine Salvador:

Chips lang ho yun. Hindi po yung carbs. Learn the difference, Engineer. :)

Me:

Okay okay. Omw na dyan. Don't reply, I'm driving.

After she replied, I already drove fast to her condo. The heck, traffic pa talaga. Anong oras na ba? Nakakahiya kay Gia kanina pa nakaready. I hope she's not mad when I arrive.

Luckily, I arrived ten minutes before 11. She's wearing a white turtle neck blouse paired with high waist black pants. She paired it also with white sneakers, heart shaped necklace and a pair of pearl earrings. She look so beautiful even more today than the homecoming. She's like a doll because of her messy bun look.

I opened the door of my car to let her inside, and after that, I went inside. We were about to go when I grab something behind her back.

"Seat.... yung seatbelt nakaipit sa likod mo. Use the seatbelt. ", I said nervously.

" Ahhhh, oo yung seatbelt hehe", she replied laughing but I was nervous that time because maybe she thinks that I will kiss her.

I drove safely while Gia is silent the whole time. Minutes after the traffic, na manage naming makaabot sa Jollibee just the time for lunch.

Gia and I decided to have the vacant table for two near the window. Before I went to the counter to order, I ask her if want she wants to eat.

"Gia, anong gusto mo? Order anything you want, akong bahala.", I told her while winking.

" Uhm, burger steak with drink nalang siguro. Tapos sundae with fries.", Gia replied while smiling awkwardly. Siguro nahihiya.

"Okay. Stay here. Ako na ang oorder.", I presented myself to order.

It took me so long in the queue since lunch time na and it is a Sunday so expected na madaming tao. Finally, my turn came and the crew took my orders. The crew gave me number and told me to wait in our table for our food to be served.

"Number 8 ang order natin, let's wait nalang muna. Ang daming tao eh.", I told her.

" Okay, sure. Oo nga ang daming tao.", she replied.

I just realized that number "8" was our monthsary date, before. Haha what a coincidence right? But its just nothing but an order number. Nothing else.

It took almost minutes, pero wala pa rin yung food namin. I can see now in Gia's eyes na gutom na sya. Maybe later she's gonna pissed off already. I always ask and follow up our orders to the crew.

It is already 12:10 pm in the afternoon when the crew approach our table, bringing a tray with our foods.

"Happy Jolly Afternoon Ma'am and Sir! Here's your order. Enjoy your meal po", the crew greeted us and placed our meal in the table.

" Thank you!", me and Gia responded politely.

Gia went to the utensils area to get some spoon, fork and a small cup with ketchup. She go back after and give the spoon and fork,together with the ketchup to me. We started eating our lunch since almost 12 noon na rin. I'm right, gutom na si Gia. Kaya hinayaan ko nalang muna sya to enjoy her meal. I continued eating my jolly spag and fries.

"Hindi ka nagra-rice?", Gia asked me in curiousity.

"I do eat rice pero hindi ko feel magrice ngayon. You should eat rice, namamayat ka na oh", I teased her after I responded to her question.

" Excuse me, Engineer. This is my normal body figure. Parang hindi ka na nasanay. Kain ka nalang nga dyan!", She replied to me.

Nagpatuloy nalang kami sa pag-kain. Kahit kailan, pikon si Gia. Konting biro mo lang, minsan hindi ka na papansinin. Maiinis. Pikon pero cute naman.

"May gagawin ka ba after?", I asked Gia.

" Supposedly may lunch date kami ni Claire ngayon, kaso nauna ka. So wala na akong gagawin after.", she replied.

"Okay, so where do you want to go next?", I replied.

" Wait, wala ka bang work after nito?", she replied to me in doubt.

"You forgot, diba sinabi ko na half day lang ako sa office.", I replied.

" Oh shoot. Oo nga pala hehe. Sorry.", she replied while pretending na hindi nya nakalimutan.

"Baka mamaya nakalimutan mo nang maglakad palabas", I replied teasing her.

" Grabe ka naman.", she replied.

"So saan mo nga gustong pumunta?", I asked her again.

" Hmmmmm.... ah alam ko na. Arcade nalang tayo. Matagal na rin akong hindi nakakapag arcade eh", she replied to me with excitement.

"Okay, bilisan na nating ubusin 'to so that we can go to the arcade now", I said.

Pagkatapos naming kumain, nag-retouch muna si Gia ng mukha nya sa toilet area. I patiently waited for her dito sa table namin. Pinabalot ko na rin ang hindi ko nakain na jolly burger. I will let Gia eat it if she feels hungry. Pero hindi ko sasabihin sa na para yun sa kanya, to make her surprised.

As soon na natapos si Gia sa pagreretouch nya, we go ahead to our next destination, arcade. Nang makaabot kami ng SM, parang bata 'tong si Gia. That feeling when its your first time as a child to go in an arcade. I can see in her eyes na she is so excited. We took the elevator, instead of an escalator. Nagmamadali. I can't resist her excitement, pati ako nahahawa. So cute.

Nang makarating kami sa arcade stall, we started playing different arcade games. Hindi ko makita ang pagod sa mga mata nya. She's been enjoying playing the whole time. When its her turn to play, I secretly take photos of her. I don't let her knew dahil magagalit yun. I want to have photos of her, as my new memories.

"Pagod ka na? Are you enjoying?", I asked her.

" Super! Thank you!", she replied happily, like a child.

"You're always welcome Gia", I replied and kissed her forehead. She seems so shocked pero hinayaan ko nalang sya. We both pretended na walang nangyari.

We used the remaining coin loads from the card for the photobooth. Gia looks so beautiful, as always. We also took photos of us together of course. We printed copies for ourselves,one copy for her and for me. We both look good together.

Since naubos na namin ang laman ng gift card ko, we decided to check if anong pwedeng ma-redeem in exchange of those tickets. I can see in Gia's eyes na gusto nya yung teddy bear na nasa taas ng rack.

We asked the in-charge person sa redeem area if anong pwede naming makuha. Chineck nya muna and count the tickets to make sure if anong item ang makukuha namin.

"Teddy bear po yung pwede nyong maredeem dito, Ma'am and Sir.", the in charge pointed the teddy bear from the top of the rack.

" Ano? do you want that?", I asked Gia.

"Oo.", she replied.

" We'll take that teddy bear po", I told the in charge.

The in-charge gave the teddy bear to Gia in exchange to the tickets. Ang saya saya ni Gia tignan ngayon. I want her to wear always that smile.

Hindi na namin namalayan na it is already past 2 in the afternoon. It is because we are busy enjoying playing games inside the arcade.

"Saan tayo sunod?", I asked Gia.

" Zagu tayo?", Gia invited me.

"Okay, sure.", I replied.

We went ahead to the Zagu stall. She ordered Pearl Milk Tea flavor, and Halo halo flavor for me. Mahilig si Gia sa Zagu, pero kahit ano, kahit milktea, she's on the go. Kahit ano namang food ibigay mo sa kanya, she will not hesitate to eat it. Walang pili. Gia insisted na siya ang magbabayad for the two zagu, pero hindi ako pumayag.

Naglakad kami papunta sa dancing fountain area, outside part of the mall. We sat in a bench while sipping our own Zagu. Napansin kong tahimik si Gia kaya tinanong ko sya.

"You okay? ang tahimik mo.", I break the silence while continually sipping the zagu.

" Wala. Eh kasi naman, nakakahiya na. Ikaw nalang yung gastos ng gastos.", Gia replied like a child na nagsusumbong.

"Wala lang yun Gia, bumabawi lang talaga ako sayo.", I replied.

" Ayos lang yun. No need para bumawi", she replied.

Hindi pa nauubos ni Gia ang Zagu nya when Gia decided to go home already. I can sense na inaantok na siya. It is almost 3 in the afternoon na rin.

The traffic was so heavy, ang tagal umusad ng mga sasakyan. Mas lalong inaantok si Gia sa sitwasyong 'to. Minutes later, sa sobrang tagal, nakasandal siya sa window part ng kotse ko at nakatulog. I let her sleep instead of waking her up. Luckily, umusad na ang mga sasakyan.

Instead of lettting her lean against the window to sleep, I guided her head to my shoulder. Hinayaan ko nalang siya na sumandal sa akin, para maging comfortable siya sa tulog niya.

We finally passed the long, heavy traffic. I drive safely to her condo unit. Nang nasa tapat na kami ng condo nya, ay dahan dahan ko siyang ginising.

"Hey, wake up. Nasa condo mo na tayo", I tapped slowly her arm.

" Hala sorry nakatulog ako sa balikat mo. Nakadagdag pa tuloy ako sa pagod mo.", Gia replied.

"No its okay. No worries, Gia. I know pagod ka kaya I let you sleep comfortably in my shoulder. ", I replied while smiling.

" Okay, thank you for this day. Ingat ka pauwi.", Gia replied habang pababa na ng kotse ko.

"You're welcome. Ikaw rin. Thanks din sa pagpayag mong samahan ako.", I replied.

" Sure. Anytime. Sige akyat na ako ha? Text me nalang if nakarating ka na sa inyo", Gia told me while smiling and saying goodbye.

Ang sarap sa pakiramdam na I'm making memories with her, again.
