Chapter Three
The next day the army that Maedhros spoke of arrived. All of the fellowship, who stood to wait with many other members of the council, were surprised to see the extent too see just how big these armies were. The hobbits and Boromir were surprised to see all the elves there dressed fully in armor. They never imagined seeing elves in such a regard, even though they knew some tales of their great skills in combat. Yet, seeing them like this was astonishing and wondrous. It truly was like old tales come alive.
A dark-haired elf road who rode in front came over to them and dismounted. Before he could say a word Glorfindel tackled him in a hug. "TURGON! YOU ARE HERE!"
"Glorfindel!" Turgon grunted. "Please! Get off. I am happy to see you two but let me up!"
"NEVER!" Shouted Glorfindel as he continued to hug Turgon who was just laying on the ground. Turgon then said, "Ecthelion is here!"
"WHERE!?" Glorfindel asked as he jumped up and spun around trying to find the elf he spoke of. He then ran off quickly and tackled an elf who just stepped off the horse. The elf, Turgon, let out a breath and turned to the fellowship and the others.
"So. He hasn't changed," Turgon said.
"Apparently not," Fingon said as he went to the elf and hugged him. Turgon sighed and patted back, "So. I take it there is not a lot I missed?" He asked.
"Not really. Just that this group said that they will take the Ring to Mordor to destroy it." Finrod said as he gestured to them.
"Ah. I see then I recommend you keep Celegorm and Curufin away from them." Turgon said to Maedhros and Maglor who sighed.
"I am not going to ask," Maedhros groaned into his hand. "I don't want to know. Yet, before they come over do you think Ardhel will be willing to go with them to offer any help?"
"I can ask her," Turgon said.
"Good," Maedhros said with a nod. There was a loud crash coming from inside the army formation and a loud scream of anger. Maedhros sighed and Maglor shook his head.
"We should take care of that," Maglor said.
"Yeah," Maedhros sighed as he followed his brother into the army.
As the others talked Pippin quietly asked, "Do you think we should ask about what's going on?"
"I would not think that will be wise," Gandalf said shaking his head. "Just stay here and let them discuss this."
He did try to lead the group back inside but Legolas got curious and walked off. Aragon went after him to try and take him back. Which led to Pipping getting curious as well and going off to be followed by Merry telling him to come back.
"Should we go after them?" Frodo asked. Gandalf just shook his head and had the others go back into Rivendell.
A/n: sorry for the late update. I have had a lot of things going on, I hope to get some more writing done. I don't know though.
