chapter twenty-six |special|
2 months later...
Dear Family,
Mom, Dad and Miele. How are you guys? I miss you guys so much and I'm sorry, especially you Miele. I know you've been trying to call me multiple times. I'm sorry that I haven't talked or had any form of communication with any of you, I know I made the three of you worried sick. Please, forgive me.
I am writing this letters because I felt much more comfortable to be done this way than using a phone since Helia also used to write letters to his parents and I wanted to try to get my emotions out on a paper than screaming through a device, even though I miss your voices and I want to hug all of you. We'll meet soon.
Mom, Dad. My emotions got the better of me and made me want to lock myself up and never get out because I feel everything has been my fault. Please, do not worry, Helia took care of me and I'm much better.
Lili's is doing very well too. Mom, you were right, we found out she has a lot more of potential, little as she is. I'll go in much more details later.
It's been years since I fought in a battle. I didn't predict that going back to it was going to be so tough and harsh. I know you always told me to be cautious and not to go too hard. I still have bruises, but I'm healing.
You might question yourself, ‘But Flora, what happened?’
Eh, it's actually a long crazy, and sad, story, so bear with me and be patient as I write all of this.
Let me begin from the start: Remember how I was so excited to finally reunite and spend some time with the other Winx and the Specialists? Well, it did not end up the way we expected.
You probably have heard what was going around a few weeks ago about the Trix being set free by someone anonymous and unfortunately caused immediate chaos to some planets, including Magix, as Faragonda informed us.
How could they let this happen? Why did they not pay more attention like they were supposed to? How could they let this happen and not do anything about it instantly? I always asked this questions to myself because at the time I did not want to go back using my powers since I have a daughter and I definitely did not want her involved in any of the current situations and have the probability that the children will be in danger.
My head went through a lot of overthinking.
I saw a lot of crazy weird things.
It all started when I went to Gardenia. Remember? I even visited you the day before, very excited. First of all, the house we stayed in was absolutely flawless and clean. It was neat on the first day but having nine kids running around, you can already imagine the chaos.
{
In the mansion of the Winx and Specialists, it was rare to have peace nor quiet.
“Blake, stop,” Bloom said, grumbling, as she was trying to get the biscuit jar away from her son and to put it on a higher shelf and he started crying, letting himself fall on the floor. “Here he goes.”
“Oh, dear skies of Solaria, Celeste, what did you do?!” Stella cried out desperately, as she glimpsed her daughter slightly covered in dirt.
“Mud!” Celeste responded, putting up her hands which were packed with additional ground dirt.
The light fairy groaned in anger. “Brandon!”
“Yeah?” He appeared in the kitchen. “What's going on?”
“Look at your daughter and tell me what's going on.” Stella crossed her arms, tapping her foot in irritation while her husband wanted to laugh because Celeste reminded of him but he wasn't trying to provoke in some way Stella even more.
“Stop running!” Sky yelled from the living room as he was watching the TV with Timmy and Riven, but the giggles and laughter of the children kept filling up the atmosphere. “Flame, stop running or Scarlett will copy you and you might both fall and get hurt!”
“She's fine, Dad!” Flame replied, out of breath but still maintained running and chasing the other children considering they were playing hide and seek that somehow ended up being chasing one and the other.
Sky grunted, silently, while Riven smirked because he didn't have to worry about looking after what his daughter was doing because she was upstairs with her mother. “Flame, bring your sister here.” The blonde man demanded.
“But why, Dad! I'm doing good at babysitting and looking after her--” Flame wanted to grab Scarlett but the one-year-old dodged and tripped, resulting on a fall and a cry. “Oops.”
“These children are loud,” Riven commented and Timmy just shrugged his shoulders as he continued watching the television.
Tecna walked in the living room, approaching her husband, ruffled and tired. “Timmy! Look at what Theo did to my phone! He deleted all my working files and somehow locked them somewhere in my database. I'm leaving him to you now.”
Theodore sat next to his father, smiling, as he played on his Kids' Tablet.
“Damn,” Riven said, almost laughing but then his phone started ringing from his pocket. He took it out to see Musa requesting a video call and answered as soon as he met his girlfriend's tired expression. “Yes--”
“Come take her, I want to sleep. Look at what she did with your trousers.” Musa flipped her phone camera, showing their daughter ripping the ripped part of Riven's jeans even more. “Why did you even leave your clothes around? This is your fault, not mine.”
“Ugh, Musa! I bought them last week!” Riven argued as he started getting up from the couch.
Nabu had Aqua with him in his arms, covered in milk vomit and he seemed panicked. “Yo, Riven! Where's Aisha?”
“Outside with Flora and Helia, I guess,” Riven replied as he instead made his way upstairs.
“Aisha!” Nabu shouted for his wife in distress.
The curly-haired woman was sipping on her drink as she talked with Flora about random things they had opinions on. Aisha, then, turned around to her husband, completely confused on why is he exclaiming for. “What do you want?”
“I was feeding Aqua as you told me to, but she decided she wasn't feeling it and threw up everything. I can't look for new clothes without having to put her down somewhere for her then to run away. Actually, crawl away.” Nabu said, completely out of breath. “Out of all places, you were outside! I was looking for you everywhere in this big house!”
“Because I wanted to chill since Zale wasn't bothering me,” Aisha answered back, adjusting her sunglasses on her head. “Flo, I'm leaving the kid to you.” She pointed at her son, sitting on the grass with Lilian, totally calm for some reason.
“Okay! It's fine! Won't be that bad.” Flora stood up and walked towards the two children to see what they're up to. “Lia, Zale. Everything okay--”
“Yeah, totally. Daddy let us paint!” Lilian nodded, moving aside to show. “It's cool!”
Flora face-palmed her forehead then sighed as she muttered, “Oh my, no, no, no. Why are you painting the grass, is this washable?”
“We should paint the house!” Zale said, revealing his hands entirely full of color and ignited trotting around to paint whatever he sees.
“Yes!” Lilian joined him.
Flora tried to discourage the ultimate havoc but it was too late. “What, no--!”
}
Yeah, it was tiring for a time around but we got used to it. The real challenge was making all of them falling asleep was a deal. Not every kid would just go to their room and fall asleep just like that-- no. They have to drain our energy first.
Moving on,
After a couple of days - with the conflict with the Trix at Alfea, Faragonda's and Miss Ofelia's vital condition, more news about a few places being destroyed (I'll explain in more detail when we'll meet soon) - the Royal Court needed the main three powerful Royals Kingdoms to upgrade their defences and our holiday had to end.
Things got even weirder, actually.
Lilian did something unexpected before we left to stay in Andros for a bit. She extracted a whole flower out of a sketch of Helia's! She basically can make things real just by taking them out of a paper, apparently. She'll probably master this skill when she'll start her course in Alfea. Thinking about it, what she did was cool yet shocking, but back there, I was worried and scared where else are her unknown powers were going to lead to.
It's not even it. I rescued a baby bird that ended up being an angel! I'm not crazy, I know what you thinking.
Angels did exist! They're real.
I just had the biggest pleasure to have one with me for a period of time; her name's Arraya Hope, which actually stands for ‘A ray of hope’..... Although, we later realised how much trouble things ended up to be when we came to know about a certain person.
That person was: Her Excellence, Valiana.
