chapter three
Later that day...
“It was nice talking with you girls again, it's like we back to one of our old sleepovers in Alfea.” Flora contended while a smile embedded her expression as they all agreed at her statement. “It's almost dark out there, what time is it?” Flora gently asked the girls hoping one will answer her question.
“It's five past seven. We better go back downstairs to the others and prepare something to cook for the guys and the kids.” Tecna announced as they all nodded and got up from the bean bags they were all individually sitting on.
“I'm going to change first, these heels I bought the other day are killing me. But they still look cute on me, aha.” Stella took off her heels and quickly ran into her and Brandon's bedroom. The other girls thought it was actually a good idea to change into something comfortable and went on their ways too.
Flora walked in back into her room as she took off her white heels and sighed in relief. She took one of her suitcases and carried it on the bed. She unzipped it and opened it, as she starts to look for pyjamas to wear. Since she didn't feel either warm or cold, she wore a sleeveless white top with pink leggings and white socks on. When she was done changing, she put the old clothes in the laundry bin and tied her hair half up half down. Before closing the suitcase, she also looked for clothes for her daughter to change into when she goes downstairs. She found a light blue short-sleeved shirt with matched light blue trousers and a pair of socks. She lay them on the bed as she zipped the hefty suitcase and put it back on the corner of the room, where it was earlier.
She took her daughter's clothes in a hand and left the room. While walking out, she heard some of the girls' voices, meaning they were downstairs, so she was about to leave too before she saw Tecna walk out of her room with her son Theodore, probably because she had him to change his clothes into pyjamas too.
“Hey Tecna, hello Theo.” Flora sympathised and Tecna noticed her as she sent a smile to her and took his son's hand since they were about to walk back down the stairs.
“Hey, Flo. Theo, say hello back to her.” Tecna said as she turned back to her son.
“Hi.” Theo nicely greeted the young woman and smiled. Flora gave a smile back as they all kept walking down the steps.
Ultimately, they were back on the initial floor, Tecna with Theo and Flora, all walked into the living room where everyone else was: Bloom was sat on the gigantic couch with her daughter Flame on her lap while watching the TV and her other children Blake and Scarlett playing together on the carpet floor, Musa was also watching TV while her daughter Serenity was playing with Flora's daughter Lilian, Timmy was on his phone, Aisha was talking with Nabu while their son Zale was sitting beside them playing with Nabu's phone on some game and their daughter Aqua was playing with a toy on Nabu's arms, and finally, Stella was also sat watching TV with her daughter Celeste sitting beside her. Sky, Riven, Helia and Brandon were nowhere to be seen.
Flora looked around the room, confused why Helia wasn't here and left Lilian. Flora entered the living room and called for Lilian to come with her to quickly change her clothes. At first, Lilian complained a little that she didn't want to go because she wanted to keep playing with Serenity and Flora promised her that she'll still play with her but just needed to change clothes.
Lilian ran up to her and kindly took her mother's free hand as she followed her upstairs. They walked in the left side hall where Flora's room was. As they entered, Flora asked Lilian if she needed the toilet but she said she was okay, so Flora let her be. Lilian took off her ballerinas and Flora helped her take off her dress, then changed into the pyjamas she had ready for her and put her on her socks so her feet won't get cold.
“How do you like this place so far, sweetie? Are you happy?” Flora questioned her daughter as she took her dress to put in the laundry bin and went back to Lilian, who was sat in her and Helia's bed.
“I like it, mom. But why we left home?” Lilian asked in her baby voice as Flora sat next to her.
“Don't worry, we'll go back home. We're here just to spend some time with friends.” Flora explained as she steered her arms to make Lilian closer to her and kissed her head. “Let's go back to the others, okay?” Lilian nodded as she lifted her arms meaning she wanted her mother to pick her up so she did.
~~~
Flora put Lilian down so she can go back playing when Musa walked up to her. “Flora, come with me, I want to see what the guys are doing.”
“Oh, where are they?” Flora asked, remembering not seeing Helia sat on the living room with the others.
“In the kitchen, cooking something and I'm hungry.” Musa put her hand on her stomach while Flora softly giggled at her.
They both tiptoed to the kitchen, where the other guys were busy cooking. Musa entered first followed by Flora as they went to take a closer look at the food. Riven was distributing plates and cutlery on the table where they were all supposed to eat and it had many seats, Helia was on the cooker, Brandon and Sky were cutting some vegetables while they were chatting about something, that made them all laugh.
“Oh my Magix! What's this amazing smell of food?” Musa asked while she waved her hand to push even more the aroma of cooking food from the air to come in her nostrils so she could carry on inhaling it. Flora shook her head while smiling at her friend's behaviour and walked to Helia, who was busy looking after the food being cooked.
“Hey,” Flora surprised her husband as he turned around, scared at first, but then relieved it was just his wife. Flora looked at him then burst on laughing. “What's wrong with you? Since when you get scared?”
“Sorry, I was too focused looking after all this,” Helia pointed out as, he shows her, the amount of food being boiled up in a big pot. “There's more than the usual two people to feed here,” Helia said as he quickly takes a minute to check out his wife's change of clothes in her pyjamas. “You look good, by the way.”
“Thank you. What are you making for today?” Flora blushed then looked around to see what was going on.
“Vegetarian lasagne in the oven for the adults, and mashed potatoes with vegetables for the children,” Helia said as he pointed at the oven at Flora's left, then back to the potatoes boiling with Brandon and Sky cutting the vegetables down far-right. Flora nodded in agreement at the dinner idea.
“Do you guys need help?” Flora asked, waiting for any responses as she felt bad they were doing all the job while she and the girls left them, but at the same time it was because they all missed each other all together and she wanted to have time talking with them.
The boys' head shook no, and Helia smiled at Flora's offer to help. “It's fine, okay? Go relax with the others, the food will be ready in less than... twenty minutes.” Helia chuckled as he pecked Flora's lips, then let her go.
“C'mon Musa, let's go.” Flora hinted Musa, who was too busy standing in front of the oven, watching the lasagne being cooked up.
“But look at that--”
“I know you're hungry, but let's give the guys their space.” Flora gently explained. Before going, Musa waved the lasagne goodbye, and then both left the kitchen to go back in the living room and join everyone else.
~~~
“This was delicious!” Blake, Bloom and Sky's son, shouted making the whole table laugh. Bloom, who was sat next to him, took a tissue to clean a bit of potato around his mouth from his face.
“Glad you liked it, but I'm definitely not washing those dishes,” Riven said from across the table as he puts the last piece left of lasagne from his plate, in his mouth. Musa glared at him and he frowned, confused about what he said this time.
“It's fine, we'll do it,” Aisha said, as she finished feeding her seven-month-old Aqua with a bottle of warm milk then she put Aqua sat on Nabu's lap, so she could digest her food and she started collecting the plates.
“Wait, let me help you.” Flora offered, as also Musa, Bloom and Tecna followed them along.
“Kids, you guys can go but be careful,” Tecna instructed as the children all ran out of the kitchen, with their fathers behind them. “Stella, you're supposed to help too,” Tecna said putting her hands on her hips, considering Stella was on her phone, still sat on her seat, not helping the girls.
“Do I have to? I just got my nails done!” Stella protested while showing her new nails to Tecna. The Winx turned around to her, stopping what were they doing just to stare at Stella to stop because she wasn't getting out of it. “Okay!” Stella exclaimed, just as she had enough of the stares.
Working together in harmony, washing the dishes was no problem for the fairies. Musa made appear a stereo and put some music on, to make the atmosphere more fun and distract them from thinking of how much plates they had to wash. Aisha blew some bubbles in the air, making it more exciting. They could use their powers to finish the job instantly, but that wouldn't be as much fun as they were having right now.
“And done!” Bloom announced as she put the last plate back in the shelf with the other plates and the girls applauded in joy. “That was fun!”
“Let's join the others, I bet my baby misses me!” Stella said and the other girls followed along.
They were all in the living room, the guys watching some football show while the children either were playing but weren't allowed to make noise by Riven, or they were sat next to their parents.
“Seriously? Football?” Musa spoke to the specialists, looking, especially, at Riven, who looked to be more focused on the game. Musa rolled her eyes as she got no response from the guys and still sat next to her boyfriend. The other girls also joined as they made their way to sit on the couch.
Flora sat in between Helia and Aisha. The moment she sat down, Helia put an arm over her and pulled her closer, Flora didn't hesitate at all but smiled at his adorable action.
“Oh come on! Can we watch a movie instead of this thing?” Stella argued to the boys because she was tired of seeing violence and aggression from the football players towards the ball for no actual reason. “Something we all find enjoyable, please.” Stella specified, before using her powers to grab the TV remote from the table in front of the couch then changed the channel to MagicFlix.
“Hey!” Riven said once the game disappeared from the enormous cinema TV. “The game was almost over, I need to see who wins!”
“Another time babe, another time.” Musa relaxed her boyfriend by friendly patting on his shoulder with her free hand, as she had a sleepy Serenity in her arms, but at the same time smiling at Riven's behaviour. He'll never change.
“Okay, so what are we watching?” Stella asked to the others once she logged in her MagicFlix account. The others had no idea what movie exactly to watch, considering the presence of the children. “Let's watch some comedy movie?”
“I want an adventure.” Riven huffed as he crossed his arms and pulled himself backwards on the couch.
“Comedy adventure then.” Stella started to look for a movie in the section adventure that also included comedy and that was appropriate for the children. “Uhm, what about a Spongebob movie?”
“Yes! Spongebob, please mommy!” Celeste, who was sat on her father's lap, cuddling with him, pleaded to her mother next to her. Stella looked around, eyeing the others if it was okay and they all agreed it was fine, even Riven agreed. Stella listened to her daughter, and put on the movie she wanted and relaxed back on the couch while everyone got ready for the movie.
“Wait, who wants popcorns?” Aisha asked, trying to be quick from getting everyone's answers, and, since everyone said yes, she used her powers to make appear a large bucket of popcorn for each family sat on the couch, considering she was too lazy at the moment to go to the kitchen and make the popcorn. “Benefits of being a fairy,” Aisha whispered, before focusing back on the TV screen, where the movie was about to begin.
This is how they were all placed: on the far left of the couch there was Tecna holding the popcorn bucket while Theodore was sat between his parents, Bloom was holding Scarlett, trying to quietly make her one-year-old daughter relax and fall asleep because she was being way too energetic as the movie was being put on, next to her there was her son Blake then Sky holding the popcorn bucket and Flame was sat next to him, Helia was next, holding Lilian on his lap, next to him was Flora holding the popcorn bucket, next was Aisha holding the popcorn bucket, next to her was her son Zale sat between his parents and Nabu was holding his seven-month-old daughter who was asleep, next was Riven holding the popcorn bucket and Musa was holding their daughter, who was also asleep, and finally, next was Stella holding the popcorn bucket and Brandon had their daughter sat on his lap as they were cuddling.
The movie began, and they all enjoy watching together like they were a true big family, something they missed from a long time before they went their separate ways.
~~~
“That was not bad,” Bloom spoke, once the movie credits made their way up on the TV screen. She looked around as she stretched. “I'm tired now, let's go to sleep,” Bloom told to her kids cautiously stood up, because Scarlett was asleep in her arms. “See you guys in the morning.” She yawned as, along with Sky and the twins, made their way out of the living room.
The others said their goodnights to each other and also went upstairs too, to go to bed. The six families divided once they were upstairs: on the right side there was Tecna and Timmy first, then Stella and Brandon following with Bloom and Sky bedrooms, and on the left side there was Musa and Riven first, then Flora and Helia followed by Aisha and Nabu bedrooms.
Flora opened the door for Helia since he was holding Lilian sleeping. Helia entered then Flora, behind, entered too and slowly closed the door to not make any loud noise then turned on the lights.
“This room looks nice. Where is she sleeping?” Helia asked, pointing at Lilian in his arms, looking rather confused to only see one matrimonial bed in the room then back at Flora as she walked up to him. “Are we sleeping all together on the bed?”
“No Helia, she has her own little room,” Flora turned to the door on the far left. Helia simply looked at her, then noticed there was another door in the room. He followed her as she opened the door and revealed Lillian's current bedroom for their stay in the mansion.
“Oh, this is nice,” Helia commented as Flora smiled back then moved out of the way to let Helia come in and lay Lilian on her bed.
When he did so, he put her blanket over and turned on the lamp, that was on the bedside table, on. He kissed her forehead goodnight and before they both left, they both stand on the door, proudly to be Lilian's parents. “Goodnight, Lily bear.” The couple said before leaving the room and the door left almost closed, just in case.
Helia went to get the suitcase then lay it on the floor, as he kneels down to unzip the suitcase and take some clothes out.
“I'm going to change, I'll be right back, okay?” Helia told Flora and nodded her head. He went into the bathroom, on the far right, while Flora went on her way to bed.
She turned the blanket over and slipped in. She remained sat, her back against the headboard slat because she wanted to wait for Helia before drifting off to sleep. Flora didn't want to make him feel lonely when he'll step out of the bathroom after he's done changing. Moments later, Helia came out, wearing a sleeveless grey shirt with blue shorts.
“I thought you'll be asleep by now,” Helia said as he closed the bathroom door and Flora shook her head no while smiling.
“I might be sleepy but no one falls asleep faster than you do Helia. When your head hits the pillow, you're long gone.” Flora joked, making Helia chuckle, because, after all, it was indeed true.
Helia went to turn the lights off, then went to join his wife in bed. His arms were over Flora, holding her shoulder, while she had her head on his chest, hearing his heartbeat.
“Goodnight, baby girl,” Helia whispered before they both fell asleep right away, as it been quite a tiring day.
