sooooo...i found myself a hell of a lot of voice lines on the sounds resource.

i've been looking through them this morning...and, well, SONU-E seems to have a repository of lines now. he speaks with the voice of a slightly deeper turret, remember, so i might be slowing them down a little to use some of them. the reason why it's only some of them is that its voice is modeled after Piano's, but uses the general tonality of a turret.

SONU-S has a theme song, but i have no access to the file.

because SONU-B and -C are p much Cores, they get custom-done voice files. (yaaaaaaay...)

SONU-A is gonna need them too...crap. and likewise, so is SONU-S.

still...i do want to touch on the chill factor with -S. so...you know how some test chambers have windows?

yeah, well, sometimes the test subjects have seen him in the windows. just...staring at them. and then he just...walks away like nothing ever really happened. nobody knows exactly why he does this. but some have said that it's because he misses being human. nobody who asked him lived to tell the tale, so...

adding to this, these people have been found practically ripped to shreds. some have bullet holes in them, implying he likes to hurl them down hallways lined with turrets. others have been bludgeoned to death...or have simply never turned up again.

he is definitely one you don't want to provoke. now, i mean, he's not all bad. some were able to befriend him. others he was impartial to. what's peculiar is, he spends a LOT of time in the chambers of -A and GLaDOS. like...he'll go in there and not come out for hours on end.

nobody knows what they do in there. nobody has the slightest idea.

i don't know if i brought up closure for him, but Samuel was one of those who spontaneously disappeared after talking to SONU-S. this literally scared the staff shitless. they had no idea what they were supposed to do. he had literally just murdered his own father. who knew who he'd take next.

what they began to notice, after they started letting him just do what he wanted without anyone talking to him, he'd walk into a room and the video feed for a camera would just shut off. like he was transmitting something that killed the video for the camera. but the audio they got from those moments was both chilling...and depressing. they heard him say things like:

"...my mother was horrible, but it was my father who killed me...so it was only natural I gave him a taste of his own medicine..."

"...is this what it's like? Is this what it's like to have your humanity literally taken from you...and then have that fact shoved in your face over...and over...and over again...?"

"WHY WON'T ANYONE JUST LISTEN TO ME?!"

"...I'm telling you what I tell everyone else: trust no-one."

he was the reason why so many (human) security monitors quit after like a month on the job. the things he said, the way he shut cameras off in a snap. they were truly afraid of him. they were concerned...and afraid.

on a brighter note...there's SONU-A. who sings shit before he shuts off for the night.

he likes Broadway things. anything he hears a staff member singing, if he likes it well enough at the end of the day, he'll sneak onto the internet/FM radio and listen to the whole thing and then sing it. it's quite a spectacle. oh, and when he discovered the famous "Memory" (from the 1980s musical Cats), he sang it every night at least once for six months. every now and then he lapses back into that phase. sometimes, he will just kinda sit there, waiting for someone to walk in on him in the middle of the day.

and when they do, he just asks question after question. simple questions. things one would think he should know, but he doesn't. stuff like: "Is the sky really blue? Why?" "Where are we?"

and this drives people insane. nobody knows if it's a glitch or not. some who came into contact with him after watching tests were told something chilling instead.

"You do know you're next, right?"

sometimes he'd even laugh at them. as much as he tried to resist it, the mainframe is slowly getting to him. one could only imagine how he acted in the events of Portal 2.

SONU-E is also spoopy. if he's been walking for a long time, he starts to make those sad chirping noises of pain. he's got decent leg joints, sure, but he lacks the ability to keep walking forever. also, his guns are functional.

this pure thing isn't nearly as pure and kind as you thought, huh?

what people forget to mention about -B is that it, aside from -S, is the only one that remembers dying. that's why it dreads the mention of Samuel's name. you heard me.

Samuel killed his own son.

on accident, surely, but then he turned his son into five robots and casually shoved his corpse inside a companion cube. talk about shitty parenting.
