i know i've said this before...shhhhhh...

but seriously, i do-

i write too many oneshots-

probably because i know that i won't be able to publish another full book for a very long time.

...and i might as well forget about the wattys because i am getting my voice heard absolutely nowhere.

for the most part–

i mean...i could get away with a oneshot for the short story category but...why bother if they won't judge your work because you're a nobody and legitimately no-one reads your books?

the ONLY THING i have that ever gets noticed when i'm not pointing someone to it is my book of x readers. because they're x readers and most people like them.

but still, i don't know what's wrong. is it the audience i attract because of the things i do that get publicly announced on my activity/your news feeds or what? am i attracting the wrong audience? or does the general wattpad audience LIKE reading shitty stories with lots of plot holes?

here's an example:

i used to be on here (with this same profile name, so you won't find remnants of my previous profile unless you're like sombra and you can dig around enough to find the 1.0 version of my profile...which i highly doubt you'll be able to do because i reclaimed my old account id (or so i assume...i think i know how this website works but for the most part I DON'T). bUT ANYWAYS-

i have posted FTT twice. once in the version 1.0, again with the version that you're reading this from.

the original (also shittier version because i was still kind of a noob to this writing gig) version had 500+ reads before my account was removed because i was dumb and childish and shit. this one also made it into the top 500 in sci fi somehow- it was like 455 or something.

the current version (at the time of uploading) has a little shy of 100 reads. and it's a cleaner, not nearly as shitty version because lo and behold, there's no plot holes, no weird things you only see once that are never brought up ever again...none of that.

wHY DO THE DESERVING NO-NAMERS NOT GET NOTICED???

because to be frank, most of you reading this have more followers than me (though most of you actually have books out...but they keep getting reads after they're finished, mine don't) and trust me, you deserve every last one of them...but what is the reason why i am being left down here at the bottom of the energy chain?
