oops

so um...i got bored and tried to look up shades of purple so i could try to make an aesthetic board for Sonus...

...but nothing worked so i said to myself "well, space can be purple" so i looked for galaxy unicorns...

...and then i found out about a bella sara knockoff. and inspiration hit me like a freight train.

Imagine this:

it's a rainy afternoon, and somebody is super bored. so he pulls up his discord and messages all of his buddies with art and coding know-how.

this is what he proposes:

"let's make an MMO-RPG about horses. magic horses, real horses, steampunk horses, etc, etc. breed the horses, fight with horses, do dressage, freaking go barrel racing, cross-country jumping for all i care. make there be a single-player story mode."

and the reply?

a resounding ecstatic, "yES"

so they build this thing. it takes em like a year. and then they finish the 1.0 build and put it up and all of a sudden...all of sonus's friends are popular lil goofballs.

as time goes on they create secret horse species (like a demon horse [called Hellhorses] that can only be summoned by performing a really hard to execute ritual). they make characters that their players adore.

in return they get flooded with fanart and remixes. their forums are filled to the brim with players constantly trying to piece together the satanic ritual of the year (because they had to change it yearly so not everyone would have a demon horse so easily). their leaderboards in each event contain many horses.

and then...someone finds sonus's profile and his developer-exclusive pretty purple unicorn who sired his stud mare.

those who subscribed to him on his youtube channel freaked out when they found out that he not only played the game, but that he made it. and that he...really really loves unicorns. the reaction was good and bad. some loved him even more. others stopped subscribing to him because they couldn't stand the fact that he just really likes his magical equines...that or they were really sexist and gave him the "unicorns are for little girls" bullshit.

did he care? not really. yeah, for once he actually didn't care about the hate he was getting. mainly cause he was now part of an indie game studio with a bunch of his friends and he knew he wouldn't get fired anyways. they backed him up and helped him out. they all defended themselves and each other.

long story short they became successful happy friends and eventually got themselves together into one area, made themselves an actual studio and all that.
