alpha 0.5: the original version that I wrote from fourth to fifth grade (end of first semester). starred serena with ash (was HUGE on amourshipping), didn't interfere with the setting at all, though was kind of shitty. the only version that has ever really been finished. there was a war, too. ash had a brother who i have never publicly used and i never will use. also the whole cast was very out of character in multiple instances. had too many characters flying around to keep track of it all. you wouldn't have understood half of it unless you'd played the game anyways. everyone was in some sort of relationship, too. also the classic fanfic thing of using lyrics from real songs in story (obviously scrapped in all later revisions)

beta 1.0: the revised version of that version, focusing more on ash and serena and how they're connected to reshiram and zekrom...also added kalos pokémon.

beta 1.5: same characters, same focus, different legendaries. this was after the diancie movie — i shifted to xerneas and yveltal instead of the original two.

beta 2.0: reverting back to reshiram and zekrom, developing mewtwo's character more so he's not evil for the sake of being evil.

beta 2.5: mewtwo just wants to be a dad but he has social issues. dawn is considered to replace serena because by now, i'm growing tired of the same old amourshipping. was also going to have a sixth book that was half-connected to the series (a spiritual successor if you will) and VERY undertale-esque. also, ash was going to be chesnaught, serena was going to be delphox, and he-who-never-needed-a-name was going to be greninja because he's edgy™

beta 3.0: current version. legitimately tears down the original premise of the war because it wasn't needed in the first place, replaces serena with dawn. adds alola pokémon. connects ash with solgaleo and dawn with lunala. also, legend of zelda-ish for an entire sequence because *inspiration*. scraps the sixth book considered in the previous version. omits the brother permanently.
