Saga was at her side of the island, and had completely finished building the new nursery for the baby furies and the night fury eggs, it was a tall round structure with dragon proof metal outer walls and no windows, the roof was made of slates of limestone with a round opening on the top of the roof to allow easy access for Tesla to go in and out of.

Saga was currently inside the nursery, hanging up the glowing blue crystal lanterns on the ceiling while Tesla was working on making a new nest for the eggs in the middle of the room. The inner walls and the floor of the nursery were made out of stone bricks.

While Tesla and Saga were in the nursery, Battlestrike was cautiously watching over the baby furies outside the nursery as Winky, Ruff, Tuff, Panther, and Indigo were playfully chasing each other in the sky while Rascal and Little Tooth were on the ground.

Little Tooth now had new bandages wrapped around his wound to help keep it from getting infected while it was healing and the five older baby furies ( Winky, the twins, Panther, and Rascal ) had grown a bit bigger now, as they were soon nearing their teenage stage.

Little Tooth looked up at them with a whine, as he wanted to join them in the sky, he jumped and flapped his wings as he was trying to take off, but he only ended up landing on his face, causing him to whine.

Rascal looked at the newest and smallest member of the group with a sad look in his eyes, as he knew what the little fury was feeling. He glanced at his bare back before he turned back to the small baby night fury. He then turned his head to Battlestrike when the alpha speed stinger softly growled at him to get his attention.

Battlestrike then gave Rascal an encouraging purr before he looked at Little Tooth, as the baby night fury was looking at the sky longingly.

Rascal then nods his head with a slight smile before he starts walking towards Little Tooth.

Little Tooth lowered his head away from looking at the sky with a whine before he turned to see Rascal, the wingless night fury. Rascal looked down at him with a smile before he gestures Little Tooth to follow with his head.

Little Tooth then followed Rascal to the docks. The small baby fury looked at the older baby fury with confusion, before watching in shock as Rascal jumped off the docks, into the water.

Rascal swam to the surface of the water and swam to Little Tooth at the docks, then gave him an encouraging roar to hop on his back.

Little Tooth was hesitant before he jumped off the dock onto Rascal's back, and as soon as he did, Rascal purred at him, telling him to hold on and hold his breath.

Little Tooth then held on and took a deep breath before Rascal dived into the water, and Little Tooth watched in awe as Rascal began swimming through the water as if he was a tidal dragon.

Battlestrike was watching over the two from land with a worried look for the two.

( With Saga and Tesla )

Saga walked out of the nursery when she saw Astrid and Stormfly land beside the nursery.

Saga: Hi, Astrid! What brings you here?

Astrid: To ask if you could help me hide the Dragon Eye, and I needed a break from the twins.

Saga: Let me guess, " Scareships "?

Astrid: How did you- Wait, this is you, we're talking about. You're incredibly observant.

Saga: ( to Astrid, with a calm smile: ) I'm the caretaker of baby night furies, and two of them live up to the vikings I named them after. Being incredibly observant is basically a requirement. We can hide the Dragon Eye on Darla, you wanna tell me what the twins did to make you upset while we're hiding it? Stormfly can stay here and watch other Tesla while we're gone if she wants to.

Saga then began to walk towards the docks, Astrid then lets out a tired sigh before she began following the alchemist to the ship. Stormfly flew onto the nursery's roof and looked down at the flightmare and greeted her with a happy squawk, and Tesla purred at the Nadder in response.

( A few minutes later, with Astrid and Saga on Darla )

Saga and Astrid were in the captain's quarters of the ship, and as Saga was looking around the room for a good spot to hide the Dragon Eye, Astrid noticed that the alchemist seemed to have been living in the captain's quarters as the room's state looked similar to the state of Saga's house on Berk as the place had blueprints and sketches of inventions and experiments on the walls, and Astrid then noticed the game piece on the desk, which was the one thing that was kept clean.

Saga: ( to Astrid, as she searches for a good hiding spot for the Dragon Eye: ) So, Hiccup, Snotlout, and Fishlegs had left to save Johann from Dragon Hunters, who have surrounded his boat, which is taking water, and left you with me and the twins to hold down the Edge to make sure nothing happens to me and the Dragon Eye, basically leaving you in charge.

Astrid: Yep. I can't believe Hiccup just left me to deal with those two muttenheads.

Saga: Maybe we can spend some bonding time while the boys, Meatlug, and Snotlout are away.

Astrid: I rather not spend any " bonding time " with them.

Saga: ( frowns ) Oh. ( To Astrid, with a hopeful look in her eyes: ) Well, if you want, we can all work together to set up defenses, I can set up more defense traps.

Astrid crosses her arms in response, as she didn't like the idea of dealing with the twins, but then she made eye contact with Saga and saw the hopeful look in the alchemist's eyes.

( Ten minutes later )

Saga was looking over Astrid's shoulder with a smile as Astrid was checking over a map of the island while Battlestrike and the baby furies watched the Thorston twins carry a lot to the stacked pile of logs. Astrid was having Saga stay close to her, as she didn't want to risk Saga wandering off and getting kidnapped. Battlestrike was watching the twins struggle with an amused smile on his face. Barf and Belch were following their riders, both heads were carrying a log in their mouths.

Tuffnut: " What you say, Saga and Astrid?" Haven't I always told you it's better to beg for permission than to ask for forgiveness?

Ruffnut: Personally, I think it's the other way around.

Tuffnut: Oh, so now you're the literary authority on the subject of permissions and forgivenesses?

Astrid: ( to the twins: ) Quit talking. You lose focus when your mouth is moving.

Tuffnut: ( mockingly: ) " I'm Astrid. "

Saga stiffened a chuckle while Astrid rolled her eyes at the twins.

Astrid: Real mature, guys.

When the twins got closer to the piles of logs, Tuffnut looked at the pile in surprise.

Tuffnut: We've done all of these already? Man, we are kicking some serious-

Saga: ( ahem ) ( sternly, to Tuffnut: ) Watch your language, Tuffnut. There are young minds present. ( Gestures to her seven furies )

Astrid: ( to the twins: ) No, no, no. That's your first one. All the others, Saga and I did by ourselves-

Saga: Mostly Astrid. Because I had to make sure she didn't accidentally step into any of my defense traps.

Astrid: Anyway.... Go, team.

The Thorston twins stopped right next to the pile, they accidentally caused the whole pile to tumble and fall off the cliff, then for some reason, that was unknown to them, Barf and Belch decided to toss their log off the cliff, and they then headbutted each other. Saga glanced nervously as Astrid silently watched all the logs go off the cliff, while Battlestrike and the baby furies quickly made a break for it.

Saga: Well, at least none of the logs hit any of my traps-

They then suddenly hear a loud explosion in the far distance at the bottom of the cliff.

Saga: Nevermind. They hit one of my " Surprise! " traps. We'll have to clean that up before the others get back and before the blueberry foam hardens and sticks to the ground.

Ruffnut: Blueberry what?

Astrid: You know what? ( To the twins: ) Me and Saga will get the rest of the lumber ourselves. You two start lashing together some poles for the first level stairs. Do you think you can handle that?

Astrid then grabbed Saga's arm and walks away from the twins before they could answer her question, dragging Saga along with her.

Saga: ( to Astrid: ) You didn't even let them answer.

Astrid: Don't need to, because it was a rhetorical question.

Saga: You know, you really need to give them more credit. They might be a bit clumsy and a lot strange, but maybe try to be nicer to them. They're a important part of the team too.

Astrid: Uh-huh, sure. I believe that when I see it.

Saga lets out a silent sigh in defeat as Astrid continues to drag her away.

Saga: ( thoughts: ) I know I should tell her that she doesn't have to drag me, but... I don't want to tell her to stop if she's having fun dragging me around places. I mean, I don't fully understand how someone could have fun dragging someone around, but whatever makes her happy.

( A few minutes later )

Saga and Astrid were building up to making a new stack of logs when they found the twins, stuck in some kind of pink hardened foam.

Saga: Oh, look. They found another one of my traps. The strawberry flavored one.

Tuffnut: Hey, Saga, Astrid. Can you help us out... whatever this is.

Saga: Su-

Astrid: Can't. We're busy with actually getting stuff done around here.

Astrid then grabbed Saga by the back of her shirt and dragged her away as she walks away from the twins. Saga sighs in defeat and slight annoyance.

Saga: ( thoughts: ) Why do I have a feeling I might have to put my foot down for the first time in years today? I just hope it doesn't come to that because I don't want to be assertive with Astrid, she's a Surprise trap waiting for me to trigger. A cutely fiery Surprise trap, but still a Surprise trap.
