(In the cafeteria)

Zero, Iris and Passy goes to the cafeteria, where there is a massive line, much to Iris' and Passy's dismays.

"Ah man..." Passy groaned.

"... Well, looks like it will take awhile." Iris mumbled as she rolls her eyes.

"Yikes... this line is long." Zero blurted out of annoyance.

"You can say that again." Passy commented sarcastically.

"Yikes... this line is-"

"Don't repeat yourself, moron!" Passy told Zero off as she bonks him on the head with her tiny hand.

Zero just rolls his eyes and Iris chuckles a bit. She sighs and looks around the cafeteria to look for a seat. As she's looking, she spots the fiery blonde girl that she immediately recognised, and shouts, "Ringo! Hey!"

"Mm?" Ringo mumbled as she was just fiddling with the cafeteria foods and sees Iris with Zero and Passy, which raises her eyebrow. "Ahem... hey Iris."

"Hey Ringo! Can we seat with you?" Iris asked her happily.

"Well... not him." Ringo objected to him.

"Oi! Why?!" Zero yelled at her. Thankfully, the cafeteria is rather noisy, so nobody pay much attention to their conversation.

"Simple; I still don't trust you." Ringo answered her.

"Come on, Ringo," Iris said, "They saved me from those bullies, so at least for today."

"... Fine. I own you one for saving Iris, I guess." Ringo shrugged.

Zero sighed and sits on the opposite side of Ringo, where Iris sits next to her. He awkwardly looks at the two girls and says, "So... I heard about... that incident yesterday..."

Ringo flinches and glances at Iris annoyed, but just sighs and answers, "Whatever Iris told ya. It's true."

"You don't even know what she told me." Zero pointed out.

"I can take a wild guess," Ringo said, "Regardless; Ethan is some snot nosed rich and famous brat who got himself in a car accident that drove his old man insane. Sure, nobody deserve that type of horrible fate, but we can't change the facts."

"Ringo! That's a bit insensitive, don't you think?" Iris called her out.

"But it's fucking true." Ringo argued back, "Nearly everyone thinks that, but people doesn't want to victim blame him because of his super rich daddy and family."

"You... really don't like this Ethan guy, don't you?" Zero noticed.

"Geez, I wonder where you get that idea?" Ringo asked sarcastically, "That guy abandoned Iris and have the nerve to say he loves her? Tch, get real!"

"Is that one of the reasons you dislike me?" Zero asked in a more serious tone.

"Brutally honest here, yeah. I don't like your face." Ringo admitted, "I have a strong urge to just punch you and beat you up."

"It's not Ze-I-I mean, Zack's fault that the resemblance is there!" Passy called her out.

"Doesn't change the fact I still dislike his face." Ringo pointed out.

"Ringo... I think that's enough." Iris told her uncomfortably, "L-Let's change the topic."

"Yeah, good idea." Zero agreed, "So, earlier during our homeroom class..."

"That was Shawn Light and Al Cossack..." Iris told him in a sadden tone.

"AKA Ethan's little buddies from where they were kids." Ringo explained.

"Ah!" Zero blurted out as he remembers what Mark warned him.

(Flashback)

"You okay?" Zero asked him.

"Yes. I'm okay." Mark lied to him, "But one thing as a warning."

"Okay?"

"... Please forgive my son, Shawn." Mark told him, which confuse him, "... My son is going through a very difficult time after last month."

"What happened last month?" Zero asked him.

"... I can't really say..." Mark told him vaguely, "But since that night... it completely changed him as a person and it deeply worries me. I want to help, but my job prevents me... I hope you will understand."

"... I see. Thanks for the warning." Zero replied as he takes a deep breath and leaves the room with Passy.

(Flashback ends)

"Yeah... I guess I reminded him too much of his friend and triggered his trauma..." Zero mumbled.

"I mean, what he did is too much." Iris admitted, "But... I can understand why - him and Ethan are very close friends. So, it was extremely traumatic for him."

"I still hate him regardless." Ringo admitted bluntly. "And that Al guy never knows how to mind his fucking business!"

"Al?" Zero asked.

"The red head guy who pulled Shawn back, remember?" Passy reminded him.

"Oh yeah. I remember him now." Zero remembered.

"Yeah. He acts like a dumbass, but I got a bad gut feeling about him." Ringo said, "The guy is a lot smarter then he looks."

"I see..." Zero mumbled with concern. "I should watch my back concerning those two... especially Shawn."

Just as Zero is about to eat his dinner, his face is suddenly pushed down on his foods. Iris gasps in shock, Passy expressed an angry expression and Ringo kisses her teeth.

"Ha! Eat shit, new kid." Nikan laughed at him after he just slammed Zero's face against his foods.

"Oi! whit's yer kinch, hurdie!?" Passy yelled in her Scottish accent that was triggered by her anger.

"Shut it, fairy girl!" Nikan shouted at her, "I'm just giving the new kid a warm welcome! Ha ha ha!"

"Grr... Wha urr ye cawin fairy lassie, ya bas?!" Passy shouted in anger.

"Nobody can understand you, dumbass!" Nikan called her out as he and his pals starts laughing at her.

However, Nikan suddenly felt a sharp pain on his left wrist and turns to see Zero gripping his wrist very tightly. The blonde haired hero glares at Nikan and says, "Get. Off. Me!"

Nikan tries to move his left arm, but Zero holds him with ease, then he decides to let him go. The lead bully grabs hold his left wrist and notices a big hand mark on it, which he glares at him with pure fury while Zero calmly stands up as he wipes the foods off his face.

He glares at Nikan where the two look at each other, where Passy realises what's going on and she starts panicking; worrying that, because Zero is a reploid, he might get labelled as a Maverick by the officials. It's already bad enough he threaten those other bullies that picked on Iris. Sure, he's pretending to be human now, but the principle KNOWS he's a reploid, meaning if he get send to his office again, he'll be in massive trouble and cause complications.

"You gonna pay for that!" Nikan yelled at him as he throws his punch at him, but he dodges it swiftly which he falls to the ground. "You bastard! Oi! Beat him up!"

Two of his pals rushes right at him, but Zero did a parkour jump on one of their backs, which lead to them to bump into each other.

This catches the attention of everyone in the cafeteria as the bullies glares at Zero who is just smirking and taunts, "Is that all you got?! Come on! I'm sure you have more then that!"

"Grr... take this, pretty boy!" Nikan yelled at him as he tries to punch him, but Zero manages to deflect the punches with his hands and dodging his attacks with ease.

To Zero, this is like fighting against a bunch of toddlers who only knows how to punch and that's it. Which is amusing to him in all honesty. He decides to make the most fun out of it as he continuously backflips away from his punches.

The students were taking out their phones and taking pictures or video taping on what's going on where Nikan quickly stops as he notices the audience and shouts, "Come on guys! Let's go! There's no point... too many people..."

His pals stop as they walk away, which to Iris' and Ringo's relives while Zero complained, "Ah man... that was just getting fun."

"In the name of the wee man... Whit wur ye thinking?!" Passy yelled at him in her thick Scottish accent.

"I was defending myself." Zero asked in a serious tone.

"Ugh! Ye cuid hae gotten in trauchle!" Passy yelled at him.

"Huh? I can't understand your accent." Zero pointed out.

Passy quickly steps back a bit and take multiple deep breaths, then turns to say, "I said you could have gotten in trouble."

"But I didn't!" Zero said with confidence.

"... You know what? I'm not going to bother." Passy groaned as she just sits on the table with a defeated expression.

Zero sighs and sits down as he glances at the audience, which they awkwardly walk away and go back to minding their own businesses. He turns to the girls and asks, "Now, where were we?"

Zero looks at their faces, which he chuckles a bit at their jaw dropped expressions where Ringo is the first to speak; "Wha... how... how did you do that?!"

"... I do parkour in my spare time." Zero lied as naturally as breathing, "And I know some basic self defence techniques."

"I see, right." Ringo said as she isn't fully convinced, but doesn't bother pushing it further. "Anyways..."

The three continues on talking as if nothing happened, though Iris is still a bit shock by, but tries to keep her mind from it.

(Meanwhile with Harold)

In the pitfall, he attached a wire cord to a black reploid and goes to a small female robot with blonde hair, pale skin with a arrow buster attached to her left arm, and wearing pink armour. He attached the wire to the back of her exposed nape as it starts to work.

"Just nearly done... almost there..." Harold grinned creepily as purple energy through the wire starts to travel through to the robot, which woke her up and starts screaming in pain, "YES! It was an success! I did it! I transfer the Maverick virus to a robot! And now... I can finally get my son back!"

"A-Ahhhh!" The robot started screaming in pain as the Sigma virus is slowly, but surely taking over her programming. The first time she ever been awoken in years and the sudden pain of being taken over is what woke her up.

Harold starts laughing hysterically as her eyes starts to dull out and her pupils starts blinking between normal and pure lilac purple as purple circuits start to become visible on her skin.

"No... S-Save... me... b... Rock..." The robot mumbled very weakly till her her pupil stops blinking and her body limped.

She slowly gets up, similarly to a zombie and looks at Harold with cold, empty eyes that shows no life to her anymore. Harold smirks as he tries to compose himself and says, "Welcome to the world... Roll Light. I have big plans for your brothers, and I needed to some adjustment to the Maverick virus to make it more... interesting, to say the least."

The robot, named Roll, doesn't say anything. She can't fight back. She can't speak. She can't rebel.

"I have very big plans for tomorrow afternoon... hope you get prepared for that special day." Harold said sinisterly.
