Ep 7 Part 1 - Break time

A/N - Capcom owns Megaman Zero. Not me. Now, I hope you all enjoy, also a majority of the OCs belongs to me, except for Ringo, who's my friend's OC.

While Miss Jordan is talking to her class, someone suddenly barges into the class... revealing it to be Nikan himself.

"You're late, Mr Bulxan!" Miss Jordan told him off.

"Ugh... why should I listen to an old lady like you?!" Nikan talks back.

"I'm only in my thirties!" Miss Jordan told him off, "And also, during lunch, you will be at detention. If you don't attend, then you'll have to do attend to Saturday morning or I'll call your mother!"

"... Fine..." Nikan reluctantly agreed as he notices Zero, and asks, "Who is that freak lookalike?"

"Ugh... his name is Zack Knight, he is an American transfer student." Miss Jordan explained.

"... Why the fuck does he-"

"That's enough, Nikan!" Miss Jordan interrupted him, "I knew this is a bad idea from the very beginning..." "Regardless... please get to your seat now!"

"Tch..." Nikan kisses his teeth as he goes to his seat and starts mumbling random things as he sits down.

Zero takes a deep sigh with a small frown. Passy looks at him with concern and whispers, "Just ignore them. Okay?"

"Hard to if everyone is looking at you like a ghost." Zero pointed out quietly.

"Passy, please do not disturb our student here." Jordan told her off, which Passy quickly turns invisible, "Good. Now, onto the lesson."

(Meanwhile at HQ base)

Detective Wolfe is standing at the rooftop outside as he watches the morning sky and takes a cigar as he lights it up and smokes it. Gavin enters through the door to the rooftop and walks up to him, which he hears his footsteps and groans.

"Ugh... you..." Wolfe groaned as he sighs, which he blows smoke from his mouth.

"Yes. Me." Gavin replied as he puts his back against the closed door and just before he could say anything. Wolfe interrupts him.

"Let me guess; I should be more tolerable towards those metalheads, that's what you're going to say," Wolfe asked him, which Gavin shook his head.

"Nah. There's no point in convincing you through that old thick skull of yours," Gavin replied, which he growls at him, "But why are you so strongly against having Zero around? I mean, he is one of the three heroes in the Maverick wars."

"Because he's outdated trash, that's why." Wolfe replied, "He would be incapable against the newly updated reploids of today. Especially concerning his amnesia and the fact he's a Wily bot."

"... Even if he's 'outdated', as you would say," Gavin pointed out, "He has much more experience in combat than everyone in this damn force, so if I were you... I would shut my mouth."

Suddenly, Wolfe grabs Gavin by the collar and push him against the wall. The two men glare at each other angrily as Wolfe says, "Look... I'm not in the fucking mood to deal with an ex-criminal like you, pal! Those machines would end up causing another Maverick war one day!"

"You idiot! Mavericks are gone nowadays!" Gavin called out him out, "Also..."

Gavin kicks him in the lower abdomen, forcing Wolfe to let him go in pain. The younger detective takes a deep breath while the older man forces himself to lay down on the floor for a moment.

"Don't remind me of my past... got that?" Gavin told him off in a hostile manner just before he goes to the door and leaves the rooftop.

"Ugh... damn brat..." Wolfe groaned in pain.

(Few hours later with Zero at 11:50)

Zero opens the door to the rooftop of the school after ignoring many of the students who were either scared of him or creeped out even though he didn't do anything wrong. He sits by the corner and takes out a can of soda from his pocket, which he got from the drink machine just before he heads up.

He sighs as he opens up and drinks it as he looks up to the afternoon sky, and asks, "Passy..."

"Oh no... he's gonna ask it..." Passy thought as she starts sweating bullets.

"... Be honest... who am I, really?" Zero asked her.

"You're Zero, obviously," Passy answered him.

"... If so, then why does everyone keep comparing me to that dead person?" Zero asked her, "Who is this person anyway and why is he so special?"

"... I... well... ahem..." Passy starts to stutter and looks away; not wanting to look at Zero in the eye.

"Passy... you know something, don't you?" Zero asked her as he stands up and just before he could start pressing the matter, he hears the door open and sees a somewhat familiar pink-haired girl. "Huh...?"

"H-Howdy there!" The girl breathed.

"... Wait, you're that girl from my homeroom class!" Zero remembered.

"Yep! T-That's me!" The girl confirmed and starts breathing a bit more, "Just let me... catch my breath..."

"... Gia Russo, right?" Zero remembered.

"Y-Yep! That's the name!" The girl named Gia replied as she catches her breath and walks up to him, "Pleasure to meet ya, Zack!"

"... I'm surprised you approach me, actually." Zero commented.

"Heh, well, I like making new friends!" Gia told him in a cutesy manner.

"... May I ask, what are you?" Zero asked her, "I mean... you have metal limbs and all that."

"..." Gia's smile turns to a frown and her eyes darken as she bluntly tells him, "I'm a cyborg. So, never ask THAT again... got that?"

"..."

"... Anyways!" Gia blurted out as her personality turn 180 as she suddenly put on a cutesy smile... in a rather fake possible.

"... Right..." Zero just answered in confusion, "So... what do you want to do?"

"Well, I want to hang out with you, duh!" Gia replied, "Though, I want to ask: what's your next class?"

"Well... let's see..." Zero mumbled as he takes out his bag and pulls out his journal, "Mmm... I got English with Mr Bizzaro."

"Ugh! Him... He's such a jerk!" Gia warned him, "How bad? He always putting everyone on his 'shit' list and just being a miserable old fart! Ugh... I'm surprised he's not fired yet!"

"... Right... okay then." Zero just said.

"Luckily for you, that's my next class as well!" Gia told him, "I'm surprised you managed to navigate through the school even though you're new here!"

"Well, I just use some common sense," Zero answered.

"Mm? What do you mean?" Gia asked him curiously.

"I mean... the ground floor has room 01 to room 050, right?" Zero explained, "So, the first floor would be room 101 to 150, the second floor has room 201 to 250, and so on."

"Ah! You're perfectly right!" Gia said. "Most students who were new here never get that, so that's pretty smart!"

"Heh, thanks." Zero chuckled.

"Don't get too confident there," Passy told him off.

"Oi! Bug off!"

"I am NOT a bug!" Passy yelled at him.

"Oh yeah, I forgot to ask," Gia remembered, "Why is Passy with you?"

"I-Oh! Well, Zero is being repaired and I'm bored out of my mind." Passy lied, "So, I'm just hanging out. That's all."

"... Okay!" Gia just said as she asks, "You don't mind if I eat with you, right?"

"Not at all," Zero answered honestly with a soft smile.

"Yay! Thank you!" Gia replied in a cheerful tone as she sits next to Zero and asks, "Have anyone ever told you look almost like Zero?"

"... No, not really." Zero lied to her.

"I see. Cool!" Gia said.

"Cool?" Passy asked her.

"Well, what else am I suppose?" Gia replied with a pout, "It's nice to finally have a friend for once!"

"Really? You don't have friends?" Zero asked in shock.

"Unfortunately, yeah," Gia replied.

"Why? You seem friendly enough." Zero replied.

"I guess it's because of my age," Gia replied.

"... Really? That's it." Zero asked her.

"Yep! I think so, at least!" Gia replied.

"... Regardless, I should eat my lunch."

"K, k!" Gia replied happily as the two take out pieces of their lunch. "Yummy!"

Gia takes a bite out of her apple while Zero starts peeling his orange, and Passy looks at the pink-haired girl with suspicion in her eyes.

The cyber elf gets closer to Zero's ear and whispers, "What do you think of Gia?"

"Mm? Why that question?" Zero whispered back.

"Just answer!"

"... I... I don't know yet." Zero replied unsurely.

"Personally... something about her feels... off." Passy whispered back, "I just don't know why."

"... I see..." Zero simply replied.

"Hey, Zack!" Gia blurted out, "Where will you be eating during lunch?"

"Mmm... I don't really know..." Zero replied honestly.

"In that case, I can give you a tour if you want." Gia offered.

"... Well, a tour guide wouldn't hurt," Zero answered.

"Yay!" Gia blurted out happily, "I'm super glad!"

Suddenly, the bell starts ringing where the two stands up and Gia groans. Zero could tell she isn't happy about going to class, then again, just from observing everyone else, nobody likes being here. He wonders why, but then Gia just stretches her and says, "Welp, looks like we gotta go to class now! Want me to walk with you to English class?"

"Sure. I'll be happy too." Zero replied as they head out of the rooftop by going into the building downstairs as they head to their classes.
