PS - SO SORRY that it took fucking forever to update! It's because a thing called writer's block is a bitch to deal with! Like I couldn't think of anything to write next, then I finally have an eureka moment. I doubt this would make up for the amount of time loss on this, but hopefully, this will motivate myself to update it more.

(Next day in the Knight household - Wednesday 26th May 2277 at 7AM)

Zero goes downstairs as he sees Alouette watching TV where a news reporter is reporting about the fight yesterday.

He sighs as he sits next to the little girl as his little scar got repaired yesterday after the fight to avoid people getting the connection.

He wasn't paying much attention to the news report, instead; he can't help but think back to what happened yesterday.

What Roll said about her brothers being held by a mad scientist bothers him, and he couldn't stop thinking about it. It strongly bothers him and he couldn't get it out of his mind. There is also the fact that Passy is with Gavin right now as she needed to report back about what happened yesterday with more details since the news doesn't know about this Sigma virus is back, and other details only Zero and Passy knew about. 

"Ahem... Zack?"

His thoughts was interrupted as he looks at Alouette with widen eyes and asks, "Ah! W-what's up?"

"You okie?" Alouette asked him with concern.

"I-I'm fine. Don't worry." Zero told her awkwardly.

"Mmmm... okay..." Alouette replied sadly, with a look that suggests she doesn't fully believe him, but doesn't push further.

Zero sighed of relief, as he looks back and continues watching the news. He looks up to look at the hologram clock and sees it's 7:10AM now, so he goes upstairs and says, "I need to get to school. So, get ready so we can go together to our schools."

"Okie!" Alouette nodded without glancing and still staring at the TV. He starts to get ready for his school by taking off his clothes, wraps a towel around his hips and head to the showers to clean himself off.

He finished up washing his body and starts to brush his teeth, where he looks at the mirror... and suddenly, sees an glimpse of a hallucination that looks like himself, but with red eyes staring into his soul and a massive, creepy grin which freaks him out and screams as he trips and fell down.

"AAAHHHH!" Zero screamed and freaks out as he starts to hyperventilating and his eyes widen in pure fear. ("Oh fuck! Oh fuck! What the fuck was that!? I-W-I DONT-OH FUCK! Why did Passy have to leave me while she's with Gavin?!")

He tries to breathing in and out rapidly; trying to calm himself down but failing until...

"Mr Zack! You okay?"

"Ahh! I-Sh-I'm fine!" Zero panicked as his vision blurs a bit, but he rapidly tries to catch his breath as he breaths in and out very quickly to calm down and clearly shaken by the experience.

After what feels like hours, which is roughly an hour which it turns to 8:10AM now, he was finally able to calm down as he stands up to hesitantly look into the mirror, showing a normal reflection of himself much to his own relief.

("Thank god... it's gone.") Zero thought as he sighed of relief again, ("Just... what the fuck was that? I'll think about it once I get Alouette to school.")

Zero gets out of the bathroom, where he hears a cough and looks down, seeing a very pouty and upset Alouette.

"Why were you in the bathroom for an hour!?" Alouette yelled at him angrily with some concern tone to it, "What happened?!"

"Ah... just got distracted. Sorry." Zero apologised almost absentmindedly, which only made Alouette more upset, "H-Hey, don't make that face. After school, I'll get you some sweets to make it up to you, okay?"

"Okie!" Alouette cheered, much to Zero's dismay as he slowly gets up while making sure not to drop his towel.

"Alright. Go and get cleaned up while I get changed." Zero told her which Alouette nodded as he leaves the bathroom and gets ready for his school.

Timeskip to 10AM at Neo Arcadia High

("Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!") Zero thought as he rushes to his school where he ends up finding it closed, much to his disappointment. ("Ugh... fuck my life...") He groaned in his mind as he takes out his journal and checks the rules page, ("I see... Looks like I have to go to the other entrance and get my late slip...")

Zero sighed as he decides to go around the corner to find an open gate, which he enters to find an elderly lady sitting at the reception table, then the lady notices him and asks, "May I ask why you're late?"

"... I overslept and needed to take my sister to her school..." Zero lied as he doesn't want to talk about his panic attack earlier.

The lady sighed and gets up as she gives him a late slip, and tells him, "Just head to your current lesson now. It's 10:03AM now, so go to your first lesson."

Zero accepts the slip and sighs, "Yes, ma'am." In a bored tone as he goes to his first lesson of the day.

(Meanwhile at Neo Arcadia HQ, Ciel's office)

Ciel's eyes widen, freezes up as her eyes stares at Gavin and Passy as she quietly blurts out, "... What?"

"Yep, apparently, the robot that attacked the area yesterday was Roll." Gavin explained to her with his arms crossed and his back against the wall while Passy is flying next to her.

"Yep, and it would seem... Harold was the one who was responsible for this." Passy told her in a somber tone with downcast eyes.

"... Oh my god..." Ciel gasped as she looks down to the desk and tries to avoid eye contact as she also narrows her brows and rubs her temples, "What... what... what else did Roll said?"

"... She said her brothers are also gonna be used and upgraded by Harold like what happened to her." Passy explained, "And of course... the Sigma virus... oh boy the Sigma virus."

"But that should be impossible." Ciel stated it, "The mother elf before the Elf war have completely eradicated it eons ago."

"That's what we all thought." Gavin nodded, "But apparently, Harold decides it's a brilliant FUCKING idea to bring the virus that caused so many wars back to life!" In a bitterly sarcastic tone.

The two stays quiet and didn't rebuttal his point as they knew, deep down, Gavin is right. Ciel sighs and rubs her hair as she looks at Passy, "This... this is my fault... if we found him much sooner, all of this could have been avoided!"

"Hey now, lady Ciel, don't say that." Passy told her softly, "It's not your fault, I swear."

"... I'm gonna be blunt. It's our own stupid fault that we didn't find him sooner." Gavin bluntly told her, "If the higher ups in the police force wasn't so fucking incompetent, we would have found the bastard so much sooner."

"Please, Mr Knight. I'm sure you all did the best you can." Ciel tried to comfort him, but he shakes her head.

"No, it's the honest truth." Gavin told her. "But whatever. What happens happened. All we can do now is continue the hunt. Got it?"

"... Alright... if you're sure..." Ciel mumbled sadly as her downcast eyes stares at the desk. "... Is there anything else?"

"Well, the Sigma virus apparently gotten stronger according to Passy here." Gavin told her.

"What?" Ciel blurted out in shock.

"Yep." Passy confirmed it, "The virus gotten stronger to the point it even effected Zero and nearly reverted back to his former Maverick state till I intervened."

"... Oh dear Lord, this keeps getting worse and worse." Ciel sighed frustratingly, "We have to find him as fast as possible."

"Agreed." Gavin nodded. "Do you want me to resume the search right now?"

"Is that even a question?" Ciel asked sarcastically due to her stress, "Yes. Please resume."

Gavin salutes as he leaves the office, but Passy stays behind and gets closer to the ruler as she asks, "... You okay, Ciel? You should rest a bit."

"I'll be fine... just go back to Zero, okay?" Ciel told her softly.

Passy stayed quiet, looks down on the ground and frowns a bit as she flies off, then after Passy leaves, the young ruler just hits her head against the desk and starts silently sobbing as she is scratching her hair and her eyes tearing up.

("God... I'm such a pathetic ruler, I can't do anything right!") Ciel blamed herself as she cries to herself, ("If only I was stronger... if only I was more capable like my father, a-all of those innocent people wouldn't have died and all of this could have been avoided... father...") She sighed and looks out of the window to oversee the city. ("... I don't have the heart to execute Harold... I should, yet... I couldn't... I'm not strong and cold enough...")

Ciel glances at a photo of her father who is an older man with dark blonde hair and blue eyes, then thinks, ("Father... what would you have done...?")
