Inside a lifeless laboratory lair where there are a ton of moss, spider webs on the corners and ton of dust, where a squad of military men are trying to smash through a door with a battering ram, which it's nearly put a massive dent on the door.

"Alright Dr. Wily!" A large and serious looking reploid shouted through the door. He wears a hat with its bill pointing downwards. His shoulders bear spherical blue jewels in the center and a sharp spike on the top. "Come out now and we will punish you less severely!"

"He's not going to back down that easily..." Another man told him. The man has dark grey, short hair, very pale skin and tired, crystal blue eyes where he wears a white dress shirt, black trench coat, tie and navy blue trousers with a belt, and dress shoes. "Trust me when I say a cornered prey will do anything to escape, and humans are no exception."

"Don't give me that stupid comparison!" The Reploid told him off, "We need to detain Dr. Wily and make sure he doesn't-"

"How about you actually listen for once, Colonel!?" A pink pixie-like creature told him off, "You really need to fix up that pride of yours, you know?!"

"How about you shut it, Passy!?" The reploid named Colonel told her off.

"Why you little-!"

Suddenly, the soldiers smash the door down, but is ambush by a large amount of white smoke, causing the reploids and humans to start coughing a lot.

"Gah... it-It's too thick in here!" The man complained, "I-I can't see..."

"I-I can't either!" Colonel replied while coughing. "S-Something wrong with my systems!"

"S-Same here!"The pixie named Passy answered back while coughing.

The man sees a shadowy figure running past them and than, the figure throws something to the roof, causing an explosion.

"SHIT!" The man yelled as the smoke gets clear up by an massive explosion's air pressures, and blowing the others away except for the tall one. "Gah... he got... away..."

"Damn it! We need to go-" Colonel suddenly gets interrupted by a call that comes from his communicator. "Come in, Lady Ciel!"

"Are you guys okay?" The feminine voice named Ciel asked.

"Yes, we are alright," The Reploid replied, "But unfortunately, Dr. Wily has escaped our grasp."

"That's okay," Ciel ensured him, "Just focus on retrieving Zero and the evidences of the thief, okay? We need to analysis Zero's body to see what Harold done to him."

"Understood," Colonel answered. "Calling off, now!"

Colonel takes a deep breath, even though it's not needed. Passy looks at the man with concern and asks, "You okay there, detective Knight?"

"Ugh... I'm fine..." The detective named Knight answered, "Let's just get this over with."

"I don't understand why you humans are in a rush," Colonel commented.

"Oh! I don't know, maybe because I have a bloody daughter!" Knight answered him sarcastically and angrily, "I have to pick her up after this, you know?!"

"Than why did you accept this case, GAVIN?!" Colonel asked him harshly.

"Paycheque! Duh!" Gavin replied.

"Oi! Can you quit arguing... FOR ONE MINUTE!?" Passy called them out, "Seriously! It's getting really annoying, you know?"

"Ugh... very well," Colonel said while rolling his eyes over. "Let's just retrieve Zero's body and get this done with."

"Yes. Let's," Gavin agreed with him.

The squads enters the abandoned lab, where there are a computer room, a bunch of mechanical tools where they see certain ancient looking armour pieces are torn off and finally, a black capsule attach to the wall.

"That must be where Zero is!" Passy said as she flies up to the capsule.

"Get ready to open up!" Colonel commanded his men, "And search around the lab for the scientists to analysis!"

"Yes sir!" His men responded as they salute and start searching around the lab.

Passy passes through inside the capsule, where Gavin yells out, "Well? Is it him?!"

Passy glows a bit in the dark as she gets a better look at the sleeping reploid; he has blonde hair tied in with a blue hair band, slightly tanned skin and possibly around 5'11"... the same height as Ethan.

Passy looks back in the past; Ethan and her were quite close, heck, she even considers him as her little brother as they often bicker, but she always has his back, along with his two best friends; Al Cossack and Shawn Light. Well... often because now... he's dead.

She tears up a bit and touches his cheek softly as she looks back in her past... back when she was first introduced to the Wily family...

(Flashback)

Everything was pitch black, as she was asleep, but she overheard some voices...

"Who is this cyber elf, exactly?" A masculine voice asked.

"I named her Passy," A feminine voice answered him. "And she's no ordinary cyber elf. She is a prototype of the artificial cyber elves I been working on."

"Artificial? Prototype?"

"Yes. You see, you know how a lot of cyber elves dies if they use their powers, right?"

"Yes, I am well aware of that fact."

"Well, I want to enable them to use their powers without the cost of their lives," The woman told him, "That's where Passy comes in. She doesn't need to eat crystals to grow, nor die when she uses her powers. I finally managed to expand her life by implanting an crystal inside her heart."

"T-That's amazing, Ciel!" The man complimented her.

"No, no, it's not just me," The voice named Ciel replied modestly, "Prof Cossack and other scientists that specialises in cyber elves helped me, not just me."

"But still! It's an miracle!" The man complimented her, "This could be a new day and age towards cyber elves!"

"It is... but it's rather risky since it has a fourth mortality rate," Ciel explained with a concern look, "Of course, we got lucky, but... I'm concern it might not work next time."

"Well, you have to keep working on it, right?"

"Of course!" Ciel replied back.

"Mmm..." Passy groaned softly as she slowly opens her eyes, where she sees a blonde haired woman tied in a ponytail in her 20's, and a brunette man with black-coloured eyes and pale skin. "Where... what happened?"

"Oh good! You're awake!" Ciel cheered, "How are you feeling?"

"A big truck hit me in the stomach..." Passy answered her, which makes her chuckle a bit. "But other than that, I'm fine."

"That's good," Ciel said, "My name is Ciel Vernier, the new ruler of Neo Arcadia, and this is one of Sage Trinity, Harold Wily."

"Oh... hello there," Passy said.

"It is a pleasure to meet you, Passy," Harold greeted. "I have no doubt you will have a bright future."

"Aww... thank you," Passy replied while blushing a bit.

"You welcome, I-"

Suddenly, they hear the door opening, revealing a small boy with black coloured eyes, brown hair and pale skin, while wearing a red T-shirt, black shorts and white trainers.

"Ethan?! What are you doing here in the lab?!" Harold lectured him.

"I... I just want to see you..." Ethan stuttered.

"... Ethan, you know I am a very busy man," Harold told him off.

"Give him a break, Harold," Ciel said and suggests, "How about you let him meet Passy?"

"That's a brilliant idea, Ciel!" Harold complimented her, and turned to Passy as he lends her his hand.

The tiny cyber elf jumped onto his hand, which he carried her to Ethan, who stared at her with awe.

"Wow! Who's that, papa?" Ethan asked him innocently.

"My name is Passy," She introduced herself, "I'm an artificial cyber elf who is specially made for protection and guidance."

"Wow! That's so cool!" Ethan gasped in awe.

"And she will be your best friend, Ethan," Harold told him.

"Really, papa?!" Ethan asked him excitedly, who simply nods, "Yay! I have a new friend! I'm Ethan, by the way!"

"Nice to meet you!" Passy said, "I hope we get to be best friends!"

"Same here!" Ethan cheered as well as she flies around him, making the young boy giggled happily.

(Flashback ends)

The cyber elf sighs in sadness while staring at the sleeping reploid, where she gets closer to his face and puts her tiny hand on his cheek.

"I'm sorry, Ethan... I... I should have been with you at that party..." Passy thought in regret, "If I put up more of a fight, than... than, maybe you would have lived... I... I..."

Suddenly, she hears groaning from the reploid, which she gasps and rushes out of the capsule as she screams, "He's waking up!"

"What?! What did you do, Passy?!" Colonel shouted at her.

"It was an accident! I swear!" Passy told him panicky, "All I did is touch his face, that's it!"

"Ugh... never mind! Men! Open the capsule!" Colonel commended.

"But... sir, are you-"

"Are you questioning me?!" Colonel asked him ruthlessly.

"N-No sir!" The reploid freaked out as he opens up the capsule.

The capsule slowly opens up smoke comes out of it, causing the humans to cough up a bit while the reploids watches as the capsule reveals the sleeping reploid... the legendary Zero.

That reploid wears a red/white armour that is a strange mix of his old armour and newer bits of it, such as his green scanner that covers his eyes, and his normally bright blonde hair is desaturated a tiny bit into a more realistic looking blonde.

He slowly opens his dark blue eyes and sees a bunch of reploids, and humans. He slowly walks up... but he trips and Gavin rushes towards him without a second thought as he catches him into his arms.

"H... huh...?" Zero muttered as he looks around. "Where... where am I...? Who... who are you...?"

"You're in an abandoned laboratory," Gavin answered him, "And I'm detective Gavin Knight, a detective that works for the Neo Arcadian Government,"

"... Huh...? I... I... who... am I?" Zero asked him.

"... Oh no..." Gavin mumbled, "That bastard fucked up his memories!"

Suddenly, they hear a very loud alert sound and the room suddenly turns red. A large machine gun appears from the roof, and Gavin blurts out, "MOTHERFUCKER!"

(Meanwhile)

Harold has his hand on a large, red button. His skin turns into an unhealthy looking pale due to lack of sunlight, his eyes are drained from life and tired due to sleepless nights, his face is unshaven with a bushy beard, and his hair is greasy looking.

"There... nobody... nobody can't stop me..." Harold mumbled, "The security should kill them off... and than I can come back later for my son... soon, Ethan... soon, we'll be reunited! I just hope he isn't awaken yet and stays in his capsule so that I can pick him up once they're all dead!"

Harold quickly runs off as quickly as possible, despite his rather frail condition, but he coughs a bit. He hides inside the bushes for safety, as the laboratory is quite close to the location where he found Zero's body.

For now... he must hide and hope that security kills them off.

A/N – Yep! I'm planning on making Passy have an important role in the story, unlike in the game where she's only there for the first 5 minutes of the first game. I just feel like Passy could have potential, you know.

And for Colonel, well there is an explanation as to why he's here. It will be revealed later on, so don't worry about it!
