"Seems like he's having the time of his life when your here." Zakuro said as she sees Nagisa asleep while she petted his head.

"I guess kids just like me a lot," Kanon said as she gently pick Nagisa up and took him to his bed. It was already night and she really need to get some rest. Once she put him in bed she covered him with his blanket and walked quietly out of his room. She join Zakuro in dinning room where she had some tea prepared. Kanon sat down and accepted her invitation. After a few minutes Zakuro decided to break the silence.

"Kanon I've been meaning to ask you this, but have you ever considered staying here at the village after the mission is over?" Zakuro asked as she looked down knowing that she would ask that.

"Mom you know as well as I do why I need to leave the village. As much as wish I could stay here the past isn't easy to forget especially when it happens to a kid."

"I know but seeing Nagisa so sad when you left for a few days. It just makes me worry what might happen when you return to the your village." Zakuro said as Kanon could understand what she meant.

"Nagisa will find out about the situation I was in someday. For now I want him to enjoy the time I have here at the village."

"I've heard that there's a war coming up for the dragon village. So I'm guessing your going to join the front lines?" Zakuro asked as she nodded.

"I'm not going to die out there I vow to come back alive. I need to protect the next generation of shinobis. It's only a matter of time when the village calls all of us back."

"I see well promise us you won't do anything reckless."

"I'll try mom."

Time skip moring

Kanon was already heading out since she need to check on Naruto and Kurama. As quietly walked to the door she left a note for them telling that she was off to do her mission.

'Nagisa will someday learn about my past and it's best that I'm  not her when he does.' She finally reached the location where she would meet everyone from team Kakashi but no one was there. Seeing that she was the first she decided to sit and try to talk to Kurama.

"Hey are you just going to sleep?"  She ask as she walked towards the closed gate

"What are you doing here?" The nine tails asked as he open one of his eye.

"I'm bored and I wanted to talk to you about something." She created a seat made of the water around and sat down.

"What do you want to talk about?"

"Well what happens if they collect all nine tailed beasts?" She asked as he sigh and looked at her.

"Something terrible will happen that's all I can say for now. Now what's really on her mind."

"Well..." Kanon seem unsure about it but looked up.

"It's my mom, she wants me to stay at the leaf and be a family, but due to what happen with me in the village I just can't seem to forget. I know very soon that my village will he going to war and I'll have to go and fight in the front line. Yet I just can't see myself surviving after the war."

"I see your unsure of your survival and since your past seems to haunt you your unsure of staying here at the leaf. I guess that is a very hard decision to make, but I think you should choose what's best for you." She looked down in her hands seeing that it was her choice to make.

"Thanks Kurama I really need that advice I should go I'll see you around." She said as she turn the chair back to water.

"Right try not to die younge," he said as he went back to sleep.

"Right thanks."

'So 'choosing what's best for me' that's some really good advice. Now if only I knew what's best for me?' She sigh and looked at the sky.

"Where is everyone?" As she closed her eyes she sense Naruto's and Sakura's chakra coming. Then she noticed two other chakra's that she don't recognize at all, but she did know they're both strong enough to beat her if they working together.

"Kanon your here early like always." Sakura said as she nodded while looking behind her.

'I sense they're both Anbu level but one of them seems a bit familiar somehow.'

"Ah nice to meet you all I'm here to take over Kakashi post while he's in recovery." The guy with brown hair said as she could feel in her gut that she shouldn't make this guy mad at all.

'Dude his eyes look like they can look into your soul.' She look at the pale skin guy that showed up, but she could tell something was off about this guy. Whoever he was she wouldn't let him out of his sight.

"Hey your the one who attacking me the other day!" Naruto yelled as I made him stand behind me.

"Naruto calm down." Kanon said as he saw how she had the top of her water gorge open.

"Kanon right Naruto don't start causing fight with him." Sakura said as Kanon notice his fake smile quickly.

"I see that dragon girl is more respect than the ugly one." He said which made Sakura go crazy causing Kanon to use her water to restrain her from beating the life out the guy.

'This guy is going to have me keep these two from killing him.' She made sure to keep Sakura restrain and had Naruto restrain by having Ranka grab him by the collar.

"So much for having a good first impression." The brown hair guy said as she sighed.

"Yeah you got that right."

After both teammates calm down Kanon made sure to have her water ready to restrain them again. She never thought the day would come when she would have to stop a fight. Since she would always fight with Suzaku over the most stupidest things.

"Well I'm glad one of us can keep everyone in line." The brunette guy said as she sigh seeing that Sakura and Naruto had a bump on their heads.

"Sir not to sound rude but who are you?" She asked as he smiled and apologized for not introducing himself.

"Right sorry my name is Yamato like I said before I'll be covering for Kakashi while he's in recovery. Now then how about everyone else introduce yourself to me." Yamato asked as he could tell that their was some tension in the air.

"Naruto Uzumaki," Naruto said annoyed about the new guys attitude.

"Sakura Haruno," Sakura said the same way as Naruto only she was a bit mad at what he called her.

"And I'm Sai," the new guy said as Kanon kept her guard up.

"I'm Kanon from the dragon village a pleasure to meet you captain Yamato."

'Well at least someone has manners in this group.'  As he observes them he could tell Kanon is capable of handling the two remaining members of team Kakashi. Yet seeing how calm she is made him a bit worried of when she gets angry.

"So then we have our first mission together in about an hour. We'll be heading to Tenchi Bridge in the village hidden in the grass." Captain Yamato said as Kanon notice how serious Sakura is about this.

"We'll meet at the gates once you gather what you need for the mission." Captain Yamato said as they all got up.

"Right," Kanon looked at Sai knowing he's hiding something and she's going to find out one way or another.
