After traveling for almost two days they reached the sand village with a grand welcoming for Gaara. Miyako, who woke up after a few hours of sleep began to walk beside Kanon for support and Virus kept talking about how the two haven't changed other than looks and style. Still Miyako look sad that she lost another member of her family. She couldn't ask anyone of her father past now and sadly lady Chiyo was like the grandmother she always wished for even if was only for a few hours and now she left behind once again.

"Miyako if you want you can stay here and meet lady Chiyo brother. I'm sure he has some stories and things that he might want to share about your family's history." Kanon said as Miyako smiled while the others kept a close eye on her making sure they didn't lose control of their element dragon.

"Thanks but I have a mission to do."

"I'm sure I can handle it for you while your at the sand village. For now try to bond with the little family your father has left." Kanon said as Miyako nodded to her advice.

'At least be happy for me when I can not be happy anymore.' When they enter the village they took lady Chiyo body and prepare her for a barial.

"Kanon try to rest at least until you guys head back to the leaf," Zen said as she nodded. She went off to the entrance of the village and found a nice shaded area. She sat down and closed her eyes trying to talk to any of the tail beast to find comfort in and she found one that would always made her laugh.

"Hello Kanon it's been so long since we last talked." She looked at the turtle tailed beast and smiled.

"Yeah sorry for the wait I guess time flies when you work to hard." She said as she walked towards him.

"So what brings you here?"

"I came to warn you about the akatsuki plan. They're collecting the tailed beast and so far that I know they have maybe around 2 of our friends captured. One of them I know is the shukaku but I don't know about the rest."

"Hmmmmm I see are you worried about me child?" He asked seeing his good friend warning him made him feel better.

"Of course I'm worried you and the other trailed beastare. You guys are more than my friends your part of my family. Even if we know very little about each other I consider you all as family." She began to tear up but felt the tear being wiped away gently.

"I thank you for your kindness to us tail beast, but we knew someday that this would happen. I just wish I could have seen everyone one last time. Sadly I don't know if its possible now but one day you'll understand. For now return to your comrades and protect those you hold dear to your heart I'll keep fighting until the very end my dear little friend." He said as she could hear the honesty he had.

"If I don't see you again at least I got to spend some time with you. Still just you wait I'll figure out a way to get you all back and we can talk to everyone just like you wanted." She said with a positive attitude that made him smile.

"I would very much like that."

When she opened her eyes she was back where she was resting. She got up and head to the graveyard that the village had and saw her team already there. They were standing infront of lady Chiyo grave.

"My sister never wanted a headstone but I think it's best for everyone to know where she's at at least that way we pay our respects to her." Lord Ebizō said as he placed his on her headstone.

"Everyone pay respects to her and thank her for her help." Zen said as they all closed our eyes and prayed for Lady Chiyo. They stood there praying for her until Kanon senses that the others were coming now.

'I guess I'll be leaving sooner than expected. It's better than face the fact that he lied to me.' Kanon got up and began to walk away.

"Kanon?" She heard Naruto question where she was going.

"I'll wait at the entrance for now I want to be alone." Kanon said as she head out while she kept her head down.

'It seems that their relationship is not going to last very long.' Tamari felt the heavy weight in her heart seeing that they may have broken a heart without knowing the consequences. She began to wonder how much this would affect Gaara now and the village.

When everyone had finished they all headed at the entrance and saw her waiting calmly. She looked to be thinking or could be searching for anything that could be a threat to them.

"Kanon what are you doing?" Tamari asked as she opens her eyes

"Searching for any other dragon that might be hidden in the sand but I can't sense any do to the lack of water here." She said while a bit frustrated about the lack of water.

"I wish you guys could stay and rest up." Tamari said a bit sad about them leaving without any rest.

"I'm sorry but we must report back to milady as soon as possible." Sakura said as Kanon was glad there was a reason to leave quickly.

"That and you can't afford to waste time on your mission." Zen said as they had their things ready.

"So your heading back to the village too?" Miyako asked as they seemed surprised by her question.

"All of us except Zen he'll be going to the leaf and will take over your mission. That way we won't get in trouble." Luna said as Miyako seem to be a bit disappointed she failed to continue her mission.

"Miyako it's best that he does take over your mission we can't afford you losing control over the winds plus the desert seem best for you to track down any level E dragons in the area." Leo said as she sigh.

"Right I understand."

"It'll be fine try to relax and recuperate I'm sure the sand village will be a good cure for you to regain yourself. Plus you can hang out with Kankuro and act all lovey dovey with him since you guys are both puppet masters." Suzaku said in a teasing tone as they both blushed.

"Shut up flame breath." Kanon bored out her mind and walked infront of Gaara.

"Here I think you should have this back." She said as she grab his hand and place his gift he had given her on their last day on the ship to the main land many years ago. It wasn't extravagant but was very meaningful to him. It was a stone that look like it had dragon scales.

"But I-"

"Its best you give that to someone who you really love. I'm setting you free to be with her Gaara. Just promise me that you don't mess your chance of love." She said as she step away from him.

"Well let's head out it's a long trip back to the leaf and we might be lucky to avoid and sand storms." Zen said as they nodded Naruto and Gaara shook hands and said their goodbye like any good friends.

"I can't believe they left I really wish we could do something to thank them for saving Gaara." Tamari said a bit sad about everything.

"Yeah but seeing that they need to head back means they might be trying to keep Naruto safe as much as possible. The only that can do that has the ability to protect him is her." Miyako said as the wind blew.

'This wind it feels so different from the wind back at the village. It somehow feels like I'm right at home in a way.' Miyako closed her eyes and left wind relax her. Gaara looked at his hand that held the stone and felt his heart ach for what he done.

'Kanon I'm sorry.' He closed his hand and squeezed the stone hoping that kanon would return, but it was only a dream for him.
