Chapter 13

I'M GOING TO KILL MYSELF WHY DID I HURT POOR INNOCENT JOOICE!?!?! Enjoy.

Jooice heard mumbling. Where was he? What happened? He was so confused. Wait, Nadwe. He left Nadwe. Did he die? Jooice shot up, the thought of dying shocking him. Zane fell back, startled by Jooice's sudden awakening. Aphmau and Aaron turned and saw Joocie was awake. "What the...how the...wha..." Jooice was stunned. "Jooice!" Nadwe said, and he grabbed Jooice in a hug. "Nadwe." Jooice said. Nadwe was fine. He was safe. Zane sighed with relief. Meme entered the room with fear in his face. "That was way too close." he said. "Wha...how did?" Jooice started to ask, but Nadwe interrupted him. "You stopped breathing, you seemed to be dying! I panicked, and the first person I thought of was Zane. I sent him a quick telepathic thought, and they managed to find another crystal in their world, so they came here and they managed to get the others here in time." Jooice was shocked. He was dying? Suddenly, the pain in his head started. He groaned in pain, laying back down on the bed. Zane came back over and put some ice on his head. "It's going to be okay. Take it easy." Zane said. As it turned out, they realized they were in a very bad situation. One of the cracks had turned into a small hole, letting the juice in his head fall out, but it was protected by the glass cast Meme put on. If it wasn't there, Jooice would've died. "Don't move your head too much. We don't want more of the juice coming out." Meme said. He carefully turned Jooice to his stomach, and looked at the cast. Meme could see the hole, but the area it was in was enclosed. No juice would escape. For now. "Good news, the juice isn't going anywhere. What it'll do to you, I don't know." Meme sighed. Jooice felt his spirit being crushed. "You're telling me that I could just die any second?" Jooice asked, turning back up to face Meme. "I didn't say that, I just said that I don't know what'll do to you." Meme said slowly, hoping that Jooice didn't let his rage get the best of him. But Jooice didn't feel rage. He didn't feel any anger. He felt hollow. Like he was already dead. He put his head in his hands, and let the tears fall. He didn't even know what to think. What was there to think? He was so close to death, he could even die right now. Meme sat next to him, not saying anything, just being there for him. "Wait." Zane said. Jooice looked up at him. "This is going to sound like a horrible idea, but it's one I thought of." Aaron and Aphmau shared a worried look. Zane was a scientist. Well, sorta. He did a lot of experiments. "What if we were to take the juice out, fix the whole cup, then put the juice back in?" Zan explained. Silence hung in the air. "That...might actually work." Meme said, thinking about it. "What?!" Jooice yelped. "Meme, if the juice comes out, I die!" Jooice argued. "But what if we found a way to move the juice along with your consciousness. Or put it somewhere where it would still keep you alive. It would actually work! Because as long as your consciousness is still alive, you stay alive too," Meme said. Jooice didn't like the idea one bit. The risk was way too high. "Listen, I know we can do it, I have a plan." Meme said. Jooice sighed. "Fine. But as soon as something goes wrong, you stop it, understand?" Meme promised. "Zane, come with me." Meme said. The two went out, leaving Nadwe, Jooice, Aphmau, and Aaron alone. Aphmau went over to Jooice and gave him a hug. "We were so worried sick about you guys." she said. "Yeah, things definitely got hectic." Jooice chuckled. "Listen, whether you like it or not, we're a part of this now. Chaos is hurting you guys, our friends. We're not going to let that happen." Aaron said. Jooice sighed. "I am on the edge of death. I may not even live to see Chaos die." Jooice said. The glass cracked a tiny bit, making him gasp in pain. They looked at the cracks, but saw that it was nowhere near where the juice had come out. "We're good." Nadwe said. He suddenly transformed into a bat. "I forgot you could do that." Aphmau said. "It's weird. I've been transforming for no reason. It's nothing, just weird." Nadwe said, flying around, then landing on Joocie's knee. Jooice looked at Nadwe as a bat. Wings, fur, pointy ears, red eyes, fangs, but the only way you knew it was him has the two small hats on his head. Jooice rubbed his shoulder where the vine had stabbed him, and felt shivers of pain go down his arm. "The others are talking with your friends. Catching us up on what happened." Aphmau said. Jooice realized a lot happened in a short amount of time. Chaos sure was keeping them on their toes. He felt tired, but didn't want to risk dying again. He just grabbed a pillow and clutched it, giving him something to hold on to. Nadwe flew off his knee, and changed back to human. He winced in pain, clutching his heart. "You good Nadwe?" Aaron asked. "Yeah, just some pain. It hasn't been that bad." Nadwe said. Meme and Zane came back in. "We finished setting up." Meme said. "That fast?" Aphmau said. "Natalie decided to help us, and she helped get everything done." Zane explained. Jooice was scared now. Was he ready for this? He knew walking was not an option, so Aphmau and Aaron helped him. The pain wasn't as bad as before, but it still annoyed him. They walked into another room, and they lay him on the bed. "Relax Jooice." Natalie said. She placed two wire things on his head. Jooice felt his heart race. "We need to get the juice out along with him, so this is going to hurt a lot." Zane said. Meme looked at Jooice "You ready?" he asked. "...yeah" Jooice said. Meme nodded. "Hold still." Meme said. Jooice braced for the pain. Suddenly, the wires dug into his head, and the pain was unbearable. He groaned in pain as it increased tenfold. "Almost there." Meme said. Suddenly, they shot through the glass and created two holes. The pain made him scream. His body was on fire, everything was burning. Suddenly, it stopped, and everything went black. He floated in the sea of black. Had everything gone wrong? Was he dead? He floated there, in the sea of black, but was suddenly pulled down and landed on something hard yet soft. "Ow." He said. He was dazed, everything happening so fast.

Meme: "Jooice, are you there?" "Meme?" Jooice called out.

Meme: "Jooice, you're fine! It worked! I can hear you!" Jooice felt relief fill him. "Oh thank God." he sighed.

Meme: "We're fixing it asap, but it's going to take a while. Might as well rest for now."

Nadwe: "Jooice, are you okay, is everything fine, what do you see?" "Everything is just dark, sorta floating here, but otherwise fine."

Nadwe: "Let me just say, that it's really weird to see your head without juice, especially with the black,"

Meme: "NADWE!"

Nadwe"Sorry! That's just what I think!" Jooice laughed. Even here, his friends were funny. "What about the others?"

Meme: "Laff heard, and went to investigate, and he found us, and he. Was. Pissed. He went ballistic at me." "Is he even here?"

Laff: "I'm here all right." "Hey Laff." Jooice was very glad to hear more of his friends.

Laff: "Hey mate. TBH is here and helping, and I wished that MEME would've told us about it before doing it!"

Meme: "I was making sure we didn't lose precious time!" "Guys, drop it." Jooice said. They did, and they left Jooice, promising him that they would let him know when he would come back. He sighed. He would've liked to talk to his friends, but they were helping him, so he just laid down, floating a little, and fell asleep.

...

Meme: "Jooice!" Jooice shot awake. "What? I fell asleep." Jooice said, rubbing sleep from his eyes.

Meme: "We're ready." Jooice took a deep breath. "Okay." For a few seconds, nothing happened. Then he was yanked up, and ended up in that sea of black. He braced for any pain, and then he lost sense of time. He closed his eyes, and just waited. Suddenly he heard Meme talking. "Come on man, wake up." Jooice's eyes fluttered open. "Hey guys." He rasped. Everyone sighed with relief. "Good to see you doing well." Socks said. The pain was no longer in his head. It felt nice, but his body was extremely sore. The side-effects of being deadish. Jooice sat up, breathing in the cold air around him. "Take it easy, you just went through a lot." Ein said. "Hey, Ein." Jooice said. Ein smiled a goofy grin, and Jooice smiled back. He looked around and saw everyone was here. "Definitely took a while to fix your head." Laff joked, completely metal-free. He felt his head, and was amazed to feel it perfectly smooth. When he reached the part where one of the wires was, a small bump was there. "We couldn't get the scar away without cracking the glass again. It's the same on the other side." TBH said. "Huh." Jooice said. Whatever. At least he was alive. "Don't mean to interrupt the happy moment, but I saw another clone near the bridge." Woolfster said. A heavy weight seemed to fall on all of them. "If he's near the bridge, then he could come and get us." Dino said worriedly. Nadwe transformed into a bat out of fear. "Sorry, bad habit." he said. He didn't change back though, as if he was afraid that Chaos would come. Natalie touched her necklace, the thought of her brother filling her mind. "Can I just say something?" Socks said. "What?" Oompa asked. "I'm done hiding from Chaos. I mean, he's just going to find us anyway, he knows where we are. But we have some of the strongest, smartest, and amazing people in the world. We have a chance to stop him." "Socks, where would we find these people?" Meme asked, who was absolutely confused. "You guys, we have Aphmau and her group, Dream, Technoblade, Mr. Beast, we have Ssundee and his crew. We have all of these people that we know, and that can help us." Socks said. They all realized he was right. Dream was smart, and could plan up a battle plan. Techno was a fighter, he could teach them all tips and tricks. Awsamdude knew how to build stuff, he could make hide-outs and forts. Ph1lza was an expert survior from hardcore Minecraft, he could teach them how to survive. Ssundee and his gang knew secrets that they could use, and Aphmau and her gang had their own special secret. "That could work, but where would we find the actual Chaos?" Aphmau asked. Socks suddenly punched the wall, then fear sparked in his face. Laff stepped back, confused about what was going on. "Socks, you good?" He asked. "Chaos...he...he's not happy." Socks said. "How do you know?" Noi asked. "Me and Chaos, it's like we're in sync. Whenever he gets mad or extremely happy, I feel the same way. I don't know why he's mad, and I don't know why I feel it." Socks explained. He sighed. "Maybe he knows that we have a plan, and he doesn't?" Pierce asked. "How would he know?" Jooice asked, but the fear the increased in Socks face made him worried. Socks ran out of the room. "Socks!" Meme called. Laff ran after, leaving the group confused. "Socks?" Laff called. He found him in his room pacing back forth. "Socks, what was that all about?" Laff asked, shutting the door behind him. "This is bad, this is really bad." Socks said, still pacing. "What is bad, and will you please stop pacing?" Laff said, stopping Socks. "I'm sorry! I'm not the one who wants to pace around, it's Chaos, he's thinking of a plan!" Socks said. "Wait, he's controlling you, but he isn't controlling you." Laff asked. "I guess, I don't know! But he's done, he's finally managed to listen to everything and see everything through me, and now he knows our plan!" Socks sat down on the bed, everything in him falling apart. "Socks, Chaos has known our plan is to kill him, he always has!" Laff said, and groaned when Socks got up again to pace. "Socks, maybe we need to look at this in a different way." Laff said. "How? What other way is there?" Socks asked, still pacing. "Okay, first, I am going to pin you down cause you seriously need to stop pacing." Green shields appeared in Laff's hands, and he molded them quickly to fit Socks, and pushed Socks against the wall and pinned him. "Better?" Socks asked. "Much." Laff said. "Okay, so you think that Chaos can listen and hear everything through you, right?" Laff asked. "Yeah, why else would he get mad? He knows that we just need to find him. Nadwe can easily kill him, and everyone else can distract him on the outside." Suddenly, the sick feeling came again. "Knock me out, he's trying to control me." Socks asked. "No, last time we did that, you went nuts. I am not doing it again." Laff said. Socks started to try and break free. "Bond me more," he asked. Laff made more bonds and put them on him. "Laff, I can't." Socks said. "No, just shut up!" Laff said. Laff himself started to pace, but he wasn't trying to. "Shit." he whispered. Chaos was starting to control him. He managed to stop pacing and began to think. Then an idea hit him. If he were Chaos, what would he do? "Socks, get into his head." Laff said. "What?" Socks asked, baffled. Chaos must've heard, because Socks stopped trying to break free. "You're in sync, right? He can get into your head, but doesn't that mean you can too?" "He's a demon monster! How can I?" Socks asked, and started to try and escape again. "Just try, please." Laff asked. Socks didn't say anything, but closed his eyes. Laff held his breath. Was he trying? Would it work? Suddenly, Socks' eyes shot open. "Holy shit, it's a maze in there." he said. "You got in?" Laff asked, amazed it had worked. "Yeah, but it's so messed up there, I can hardly figure out what's what." Socks said. "Listen, just breathe. Let me help you." Laff said. Socks nodded, and closed his eyes again. Laff closed his eyes and focused on joining Socks and into Chaos' mind. He felt himself go into the dark space, and when he opened his eyes, he was glowing green. Socks was nearby, a yellowish orange, but he seemed dulled by something. "Ready? Things get hectic really fast there." he asked. Laff nodded. Socks focused, and Laff was suddenly pulled down by an invisible force, and found himself surrounded by white things, all of them zooming around them. Socks was right. Chaos' mind was chaotic. He looked around, trying to find a way out of there, when he noticed a small hole that appeared every so often. Chaos knew they were in his head, and prepared a defense. He pulled Socks over, and when he saw the hole again, he pulled both him and Socks through. The chaos was behind them, and they ran away from it. Once they stopped, they were aways from the trap. "Nice job Laff." Socks said. "It's nothing, but we need to hurry. Find anything that can help us." Laff said. He looked around at the black maze they were in. "How are we going to find anything here?" Socks sighed. "Let's go." Laff said. They started to wander around, looking for any sign of memories. They walked around for about five minutes, when they turned the corner and saw something. It looked like a screen, and when they got closer, it was showing something. "One of his memories." Socks said. They both went right up to it, looking at it. The picture was frozen. "How do we get it to move?" Laff asked. He touched and, and before he could react, he got sucked in. "LAFF!" Socks yelled. He was all alone. He started to panic, pacing back and forth. "Oh no. What did I do?" He said. He looked back at the memory. Praying that Laff was okay, he touched the memory. He felt it pull him in, flipping over, and landing on hard ground. Someone picked him up. "Easy mate." Laff said. "What the heck?" Socks groaned. "I'm fine mate, you're fine." Laff said, pulling him into a corner. "Why are we hiding?" Socks said. "Because I don't know if memories can see us, and if so, we do not want to be seen by that." Laff explained quickly and quietly. Socks looked up and saw Chaos. Much bigger than the clones, it took up most of the hole it was in. "Oh man." Socks whispered. "I don't know how to get out of here, but he's sleeping." Laff said. They looked around the area, looking for a way to escape. "Wait." Laff said. Socks turned and saw that Laff's hand had gone through the wall. "We can phase in memories." Socks said. They both nodded, and phased through the wall. They both went up, trying to get to the surface. Finally, they both reached the top. "Man, how does Nadwe do that?" Socks said. "I don't know." Laff said. They looked around, and saw nothing but open plains. Socks groaned. "He's in the middle of nowhere. How can we find him?" "Well, what if this is an old memory." Laff suggested. "How could we find out when it was?" Socks asked. Laff shrugged. Socks sighed. "I'm tired Laff. I just want Chaos to go away." Laff sighed. "Listen...I'm tired too. Maybe we shouldn't focus on finding when this was, but how to get out. And go home and rest." Socks got quiet. "C'mon mate. We can wait one night finding out how to get rid of him." Laff begged. Socks sighed. "Okay. Let's try and go home." A sense of relief went through Socks as he said that. Laff smiled softly, and helped Socks up. "How do we get out?" Socks asked. Laff was thinking about how to get out. "Laff!" Laff turned, but Socks was gone. He looked around, the thought that the memories could see them haunting him. Suddenly, he got pushed back, and flipped over, and landed back in the maze. "I guess we can go into memories for a limited time." Socks said. "Apparently." Laff said. "Let's go back." Laff said. Socks nodded, and he disappeared before his eyes. He sighed, and focused on getting back. It was fairly quick, and he opened his eyes, to find he was on his back on the floor. Socks was still pinned to the wall, but he was back. The doors opened, and Meme came in. "Where have you guys been, you've been missing for an hour." He stopped when he saw Laff on the floor and Socks on the wall. "What did I just walk into?" he asked. Laff flicked his wrist, and the shields came off of Socks. He landed on the floor, and Meme went over to Laff to help him up. "We went on a little adventure." Socks said. Meme raised his eyebrow. Laff sighed. "Fine, we went inside Chaos' mind." Meme stared at him. "What?" "Yeah, and we may have an idea of where he is." Socks sighed. "Seriously?" Meme said. "But, we are very exhausted, so we'll explain it all in the morning." Laff said. "Fair enough." Meme said. Laff and Meme left Socks, and when they left, he went to his bed, and quickly fell asleep. Laff went to his room, but before he did, Meme stopped him. "Is Socks okay?" he asked. "I don't know. He's just desperate to get away from Chaos. He wants to get rid of Chaos." Laff said. Suddenly, his hands and arms changed to metal. He sighed. "Do you honestly think that Chaos is behind all this?" Meme asked softly. "Yeah, I do. He's the one that made me become L4FF." Laff said. "But why? Why us? There has got to be a reason why?" Meme said. "Mate, maybe we just got unlucky." Laff said. "I know, but still." Meme sighed. The metal spread to his chest. Laff wasn't as worried as before, but the thought that L4FF might come back floated in his head. "Let's get some rest. We have a busy day tomorrow." Laff said. "What about the metal?" Meme asked. "It'll go away. It usually does." Laff said. "Kay. Night, man." "Goodnight." They went their separate ways. Laff closed the door behind, sighing. The metal covered everything except his head. He went over to the window, looking at the night sky. He found out that everyone enjoyed looking at the stars. They always brought comfort to them. Someone knocked on his door. "Yeah?" He said. Natalie came in. "Oh, sorry." she said. "No, you're good," he said. He suddenly noticed that she was crying. "What happened?" he asked. She was quiet for a moment. "Natalie, what happened?" he asked. "It's Zack. We may be too late." she whispered.
