#28: Kullu is in her life, from the past seven years

All went stunned on finding Mr Gill presences. His loud voice brought the rest on the floor, out of their room. Luckily, only family members were present on the floor. Mom stared at me, getting disappointed. Anyone could misinterpret as Sana was on my lap, I stared at her all set to answer any question she had. As she might think, that I disobeyed her.

"I had not accepted this from you, Shehnaaz. I thought you love your sister," Mr Gill was fuming in the anger.

"How is Shehnaaz responsible for it?" Questioned his wife, glaring at me. Their behaviour towards me had changed from the moment they got aware of I was Kullu, who Sana repetitively murmured.

"Because they all were in it," pointing everyone present. "Shehbaaz lied to me, about Shehnaaz being present. I would have never been aware of it if I had not got the nightmare about Sana that compelled me to have a glance at her."

"Uncle, Shehbaaz is not at fault. It was...." Sara was going to stand up for Shehbaaz but Mr Gill showed her a hand.

"Sara, please don't interrupt in our family matter." Shehbaaz making her shut her mouth.

"How could you allow him to enter the room? Don't you know the harm he had committed to her?" Mr Gill was yelling at Shehbaaz and Shehnaaz, while they lowered their head. "Are you not concerned about her health? Do you want to lose her?" He was questioning her but they had no answers to his questions.

"He is not the one, whom you are thinking. He is not Kullu, Sana's Kullu." Raghav spoke shocking me as well as the rest present over there.

"What do you mean?" The question was asked to Raghav from Mr Gill on my behalf. Shehnaaz and Shehbaaz staring at Raghav with a tensed face.

"Papa can we talk about it some other day." Shehbaaz was gesturing him our presences, "let's sleep." Mr Gill halfheartedly walked inside the room, attempting to lose her grip on my wrist. The grip which she was not ready to leave.

"Wait!" I whispered, slowly removing her grip from my hand. The feeling, of seeing her sleeping peacefully was enough.

Meri Jaan Meri Har Khamoshi Mein
Tere Pyaar Ke Naghme Gaaunga
Mmmm....

I got up from the bed. He made her lay down on bed properly, covering her with a quilt with pressing a kiss on her forehead. I smiled seeing the concerned in his eyes, mom was correct it was his overprotective nature that had turned him against me.

"Shehnaaz shift with Navya, from today your mother will accompany Sana." Ordered Mr Gill, his eyes fixed on me. "It will be better everyone gets back in their room and sleep." That was indirectly planned towards me, so I get out of the room peeping once at Sana from the mirror, she was frowning.

Mere Din Raat Salone Se
Sab Hai Tere Hi Hone Se

"Good night, moti." Murmuring to myself.

We had accumulated in dining table, Sara, Preeti di and Neetu di. Mom was had accompanied us but had left when the conversation was brought up by Neetu di.

"What happened yesterday was so weird!"

"Yes, especially Mr Gill attitude towards Sid."

"A doubt is building in me, is it about her past?" Preeti di brought the entire conversation to paused.

"Raghav's last statement, Sid is not Sana's Kullu. For a second I thought he was trying to escape Sid from Mr Gill anger, but do you think there is much to it?" Neetu di asked getting amazed.

"There is nothing! Raghav was trying to give the discussion a halt and nothing more." I brought it to end, the rest glimpsed at me and then got convinced.

"So, it would be better if we start with Sangeet preparation." Preeti di got the hint and changed the topic.

"Yeah, we can't let the bride side to win. Make it a point," Sara announced. "And this time, Sid is going to take part too."

"What! Are you insane? You know my dancing ability, I will turn out a joker. Please no!" I objected but a voice interrupted us.

"That's not done! It's my sangeet and I am going to decide who will participate, and you can't argue over it." Raghav had lost it as well, I groaned at them.

"Are you planning to get defeated?" I narrowed my eyes.

"Come on! The last time, I saw you dance was in your third-grade annual function." Preeti di too jointed the group.

"And you're aware of the end result, I got slipped on the stage due to the long dhoti I was wearing. I don't want to make fun of myself," I was determined not to give in.

"Now for that one incident, you won't ever dance. What are you even Sid?" Neetu di shook her head and others were staring at me with disbelief.

"Now, stop wasting your time on me and prepare of the function." Suggesting them, I walked out from there getting annoyed.

Strolling out in the garden, glimpsing at the mountain. What life? It had turn upside down within a day. The girl whom I thought was my moti turned her twin sister, how filmy! I chuckled at my own thoughts.

"Siddharth..." I heard Mr Gill voice and glanced at him. I got stunned on finding him but managed to pass a smile. "I apologise for behaviour with you on the previous day." And was out of a word on listening to it, had not expected such a sudden change.

"It's fine, I understand." I looked away staring at the river as he was staring the same.

"Yesterday, I got to know from Raghav that you met Sana two years back. I had the least knowledge that Sana was not with Shehnaaz for ten days during their trip to India. You are well aware of her mental state, and any father would get concerned about his child. I..." He was going to continue but Shehbaaz interpreted me.

"Papaji, what are you doing over here? Navya is in search, we need to start our dance practise as we need to defeat the groom gang." Shehbaaz chuckled saying it, I smiled at him. "Don't mind Siddharth! We Punjabi's are very competitive people." Winked at me and took Mr Gill along with him.

"But I didn't want to speak..." Mr Gill was protesting but Shehbaaz didn't listen to him. I smiled staring at their retreating figure, Sana was blessed to have such an amazing family.

I could understand Mr Gill, he was worried about his daughter. But the statement by Raghav was troubling me, though I push it aside in front of the rest. I wanted them to enjoy the wedding and not to trouble themselves up, but at the same time, I needed my answers from Raghav. I was not going to allow him to escape as he did earlier during the ring matter, I would compile him to answer each question. With that determination, I walked towards his room but I didn't find his presence over there.

"Raghav!" Sara sounded annoyed, "not that way." Her voice was coming from downstairs and I was going to walk down when I met Mrs Gill on the way.

She smiled and her eyes turned moist, I got confused on seeing it. And soon she walked away, without providing me with an opportunity to question her. What was wrong with her? But I just concentrated on my way and descended down. I was on the verge to call up Raghav when someone called me instead.

"Siddharth, I need to talk." Mr Gill was sounding serious and determined. I nodded and he walked out of the hall and I followed him. As we were standing a safe distance from the crowd accumulated around he spoke. "As I told you earlier, I mistook you for someone else. I thought you were Kullu, the name Sana never get enough of." Mr Gill spoke and left me astonished. Did Raghav lie to him? How could he act foolishly? Even if he did it to safeguard me from Mr Gill.

"Uncle, you are misinformed. I am the one whom Sana calls Kullu. You were right, I am his Kullu." I stated the fact, but he smiled at me.

"It's not me but you who are misinformed. Just answer me one question, from how many years you know Sana?"

"Two..." puzzled.

"Kullu is in her life from the past seven years." The information startled me, seven years!
