#22: No! She came along with me.
"She did!" Sara blurted out, which made Neetu di and Preeti di to give her a skeptical look.
"What you mean by she did? Did she saw the ring?" Preeti di interrogated.
"I... that... I mean..." Sara strumbled, staring at me for help. She did the blunder and wanted me to cover it up.
"Di, she meant that moti would love it. Am I right, Sara?" I glared her while Sara nodded her head vigorously in agreement.
"Why I am feeling that you too are withholding something?" Neetu di raised a brow, keeping the ring box on the table.
"I had sensed it the time we entered here. These two are hiding something and to my astonishment mom too is aware of it." Preeti skeptical look fixed on Sara, they both were targeting Sara to let her spill the beans.
"Di it's nothing like that." I opened my mouth but Preeti di signaled me to stop and I kept quiet.
"Sara" She prompted her to speak and unfortunately, Sara blurted out.
"Shehnaaz is only moti." The statement flabbergasted them.
"What? Did you just say that Shehnaaz the one who is going to marry Raghav is moti? The girl whom Siddharth and Raghav fall for is the same." Neetu di was the first one to come out of the shock.
"Wait! How can... I mean..." Preeti di got dazed after listening to the biggest truth of my life.
"Let me try to understand, that means. But how?" Neetu di was baffled.
"I will tell you both everything but I need a promise that these things will be between us. I don't want Raghav to even get the least clue about it." I found my both sisters, staring at me with admiration.
"We are proud that you're our brother, Sid." Preeti di had that pride on her face saying it out. I just diverted my gaze, I didn't want to turn emotional in front of them.

As I moved upstairs, I found Sana nowhere. I got perplexed as I knocked on the washroom and opened the door. I found Sana standing there with a razor in her hand, she was beaming.
"What are you doing with my razor?" I questioned her.
"I want it to give to you, remove this." She pointed at my beard, "I don't like it." She gazed at my beard with a nasty look. She hates my beard! I chuckled at that thought.
"Why you hate it?" I inquired.
"It hurts me while cuddling with you in sleep." She grumbled and couldn't help but laugh out loud on listening to it.
I took the razor from her hand, "I will." She grinned and with that left the washroom.
And soon after getting ready, I made my way towards the office. Cleaning shave as Sana wanted it. While moving out, I saw Sana enjoying with mom. She would easily bond with anyone.
###
"Wait? How did mom reach there? That means mom too knew that Shehnaaz is the girl..." Neetu di trailed off.
I just gave a slight nod, "Neetu don't interrupt. Sid, you carry on." Preeti di urged me to continue.
###
And soon I was engrossed in my work, in the office. Knowing that Sana was safe with mom, Kiran persisted so I confessed the reason behind me denying to attend the meeting but I didn't give in.
During the lunch break when I was still busy in the meeting along with the clients.
"So the designs..." I was interrupted by Simran. I glared at her when I found her in the conference room. "Simran! You know I don't like disturbance." I scowled at her.
"Sir I am sorry to disturb you but your mom said it's urgent." She sounded scared but more than her, my concentration was on the words she spoke. Mom won't ever disturb me unless it was something urgent, did it meant that something... No!
Without a second thought, I rushed out of the conference hall. "Where is my cell?" I got anxious.
She handed me my cell, "hello! Mom." I spoke as the cell reached my hand.
"Kullu..." her that melodious voice reached my ears, she sounded grimaced.
Ye Saath Hamesha Hoga Nahin
Tum Aur Kaheen Main Aur Kaheen
"Baby, are you fine?" I got concerned, listening to it. I knew something had happened.
"Kullu... my hand... blood..." she started weeping. That appalled me blood! How come blood?
"Jaan, you're fine right? Blood? How..." I was cut by mom on the other side.
"Sid, relax nothing to worry, she just cut her hand with the knife." Mom tried to chill me down, as she could hear restless in my voice.
I hanged the call not giving any chance for mom to pacify me. I needed to go and have a look at her only then I would be satisfied. "I need to go," I informed Simran who was standing beside me.
She might have heard the conversation, she didn't question me but a voice came from behind us. "Where are you going, Sid? You have a meeting to attain." Kiran spoke her eyes turning dark, I never saw her behaving in such a manner.
"I don't have time, I need to go." I rushed out of the office, avoiding Kiran completely.
//
I was driving the car, pressing the accelerator, I needed to reach there as soon as possible. My heart beating fast, I hope she was fine. I knew it was a mere cut and my brain was telling my heart not to turn hyper but I couldn't help as it was about Sana, about moti.
I halt the car and moved out of it, the guard was stunned finding me back so quick. I just rushed in, there she was sitting on the sofa while mom was beside her caressing her hair. She was sobbing, relief swept through me on finding her safe. I walked towards them, on hearing my footstep. They both turned to look at the source and on finding me.
Lekin Jab Yaad Karoge Tum
Main Banke Hawaa Aa Jaaunga
Fresh tears started to flow from Sana's eyes. It felt as someone stabbed my heart on seeing her crying. I rushed towards her, kneeling in front of her. I brushed off the tears.
"What happened baby?" I asked her out.
She showed me the finger which was bandaged, "blood was flowing." She pouted saying it.
"Who told you to touch the knife then?" I got exasperated on seeing that bandage, I couldn't see her hurt.
"Sid! She is already crying and you're screaming on her." Mom scolded me, making me realize my mistake. I stared at Sana who turned her face away from me, she was angry with me.
"She is a kid but mom why did you gave her to touch the knife. Knowing that she would harm herself?" I got mad at mom for not resisting her.
"Do you think that I didn't stop her? She is as stubborn as you, she kept on persisting not even listening to a word." Mom shook her head in disbelief, I was well aware of Sana's stubbornness.
I saw her sniffling, I gave her tissue beside me. "Baby, is it hurting?" I was well aware that it was a mere cut but still, it hurt me seeing her like that. I cupped her cheek, "stop crying sweetheart." I choked saying it.
Mom slowly got out of the sofa moving inside the kitchen. I took the seat beside her, slowly taking her in my lap. It was so unlikely of Sana remaining so quiet. I was not able to withstand her silence.
"Jaan please talk to me, I can't withstand this silence." I pleaded her, slowly rubbing her arms.
She was resting her head on my chest not a word out of her mouth, only sobbed could be heard. "Please don't leave me," she sounded frightened. This was the second time in a day she asked me that.
What was wrong with her? Why was she asking me the same thing? Was it because I left her alone for the entire day or was it something else? "Meri Jaan, I won't leave you ever. So erase that thought from your mind." I assured her for which she looked at me.
I blinked my eyes in assurance and she frowned moving her injured index finger towards me. I looked at her been confused. "Papi..." she eyed at the finger.
"Papi?" I raised a brow, she pouted and I chuckled seeing it. I pressed a kiss on her index finger. She beamed on seeing it and I hugged her tightly, I didn't want to ever leave her.
### Past end ###
"If you had made up your mind not to leave her then how come she reached here? How did she recover?" Neetu di again interrupted for which she was gifted by Preeti di's glare and with that, she shut her mouth.
### Past ###
I didn't attend any meeting that day so I was least aware of what was discussed in the meeting. It was in the evening when I got a call from Simran.
I was sitting in the hall, along with Sana who had not left me from the time I arrived from the office. Mom had left long back as she was kind of worried about Sara's strange behavior. I too had noticed it but was busy with Sana that didn't found an opportunity to have a conversation with her. Nor did I called Raghav after that day, I was least aware of what was happening in his life.
My cell rang and I muted the television screen which made Sana frowned. I received the call which was from Simran.
"Hello! Yeah, what are the conclusion taken in the meeting?" I queried.
"Sir, Mr. Ahuja wants you to meet him in Delhi on 15th." She was hesitating to speak it out, "and Kiran ma'am had confirmed that you will meet him there."
"What? Without ensuring from me, how could she decide It?" It infuriated me and I hanged the call, Sana gazed at me as my voice raised. I pulled her away as she was laying on my chest, got up from the seat.
Moving at the corner I dialed Kiran's number. I had enough of her, she was testing my patience. The moment she answered the call, she began to speak without giving me the chance.
"Hello! Sid I know you're mad at me for deciding the meet on your behalf but Mr. Ahuja had turned mad on finding that you left the meeting on between. I tried to explain that you're never so unprofessional. You had your reasons, but after my attempt still, he didn't listen to me. So he came up with the meet in Delhi and I had to agree with it if I wanted to carry on with the project." Kiran was giving an explanation and she was right in her place as a businesswoman but I was mad at her as I couldn't attend the meeting.
There were two reasons for it, one I had to travel such a long distance in a car and second I couldn't leave Sana back. She won't allow me to do it. "You know Kiran that I hate traveling why don't you go for the meeting?" I was annoyed at her.
"I would have Sid but he wants you to be present there, he wants to discuss something with you. He was in a rush so moved back to Delhi and won't be able to return to Mumbai soon so he asked you to come and join him." Kiran had facts and I couldn't argue further on the topic as, from a businessman's point of view, I had to attend the meeting in Delhi.
I was at the fault as I turned out to be unprofessional, I would not have appreciated the behavior. I couldn't blame Mr. Ahuja for it. I felt a touch on my hand and there was Sana who was entangling her hand with mine. She always did it when she wanted my attention when I was talking with someone else. I smiled at her, she could calm me down so easily.
"I will see to it," with that I hanged the call. I needed to convince Sana for my disappearance for three days, would she able to take it? Was the questioning wandering in my mind at that time?
###
"Oh, so you went leaving her behind? Why you did it, Sid? That was the reason she went away from your life and after that Raghav met her." Neetu di again interrupted but unlike other times Preeti di carried on the conversation.
"How that can be possible? Sid knows Shehnaaz from the past two years but Raghav had known her for two years and a half months. So that meant that Shehnaaz has been in Raghav's life before Siddharth." Preeti di pointed out the fact.
"Hey, that means Sara didn't you knew about Shehnaaz than how come you didn't share it with anyone?" Neetu di questioned Sara for which she just kept quiet.
"She got to knew when the situation had turned worse and rather than sharing it out she kept mum and for that, I won't ever forgive her." I got enraged, I had gotten so mad on her when I got to know she knew it beforehand.
"Sara knew it?" Preeti di got stunned.
"I got to know when Sid decided to keep Sana along with him. The call which I got, and I moved out. It was Raghav's call. He told me that they got the traces that Shehnaaz is in India along with her friend Navya. I got delighted after knowing it, he asked me to inform it to Sid and also send the picture of the person. I moment I saw the picture I felt like I was startled. Shehnaaz and Sana was the same girl. The two people who were the most important in my life fall for the same girl. I was in a confounded, had no idea what should I do. I moved from there to put my thoughts together. I wanted to sort out everything but didn't want to hurt any of them in the attempt." Sara admitted looking at me with a guilty face. She knew that I had still not forgiven her for hiding the truth from me.
"I don't think it was your fault, Sara." Neetu di gave her a side hug, "if I was in your place I might have done the same thing. You were just striving about both wellbeing but the situation was such that one had to get hurt." She spoke consoling her.
"Neetu is right, we can't blame anyone for the circumstances but what happened after it? Did she allowed you to go to Delhi?" Preeti di questioned me up.
"No! She came along with me." I chuckled remembering the incident.
