#21: She did!

I took her inside, where I found Sara involved with her cell. She was so engrossed in the cell, that she didn't hear us coming.

"Sara I brought Kullu along with me." Sana's voice made her glance at us with a jerk. What was she doing with her cell?

Sana dragged me towards the dining table, parathas were already kept over there. "Sid you're there for Sana, so can I leave?" She asked for permission.

"But Sara you said, you will give us company." Sana pouted, looking at her.

"Baby, I have some work or I would have stayed behind. And you have Kullu so I know now you won't miss me." She giggled on seeing Sana hugging me when Sara mentioned my name.

I stared at Sara keenly, "is the matter only related to work?" I asked getting suspicious.

"If there was something else. I would have shared with you, don't stress yourself up." I blinked at her and she smiled, making her way out of the mansion. I stared at her retreating figure, anticipating that she was not lying.

"Kullu, my tummy." Sana frowned at her stomach and I smiled feeding her the parathas.

"There you go, lost once again!" Raghav wailed, bringing me back to the present.

"I was not," I denied.

"Lier! Leave it, you're never going to except it. Just tell me what will you like to have?" He asked, getting into the food center.

"Parathas!" Unknowingly those words out of my mouth.

Raghav gazed at me amazed, "from when you started liking Parathas?" He interrogated, raised a brow.

"Long back" I shove the question away, letting him feel it was least interesting.

"You make me remind of someone, she too..." I halted him.

"I am hungry," eyeing him at the counter. He rolled his eyes.

"Going," he snorted as he walked towards the counter.

I was in no mood to listen to another conversation on Shehnaaz from him. I couldn't withstand it. I took a seat on the nearby table, finding it vacant. Soon Raghav same with a plate of Paratha and another hand having a burger.

"Finally after someday I won't be a bachelor." He sounded depressed, "you know Sid its only you who didn't advise me to have a second thought about the wedding. Why is that so?" He queried me.

"As I know that you wanted to marry her or you would have never taken a decision of committing to someone." I voiced out the facts.

"That's true! I always used to argue with Neetu di that how can someone end up with one person for their entire life. It sounds awful! But now it doesn't love has that magic, it surely does." That dreamy smile on his face, I beamed seeing it for a second lost in it.

"Love can do miracles and I have experienced in my life. You know when Moti used to hate cigarette smell, I used to avoid it just for her. It amazes me now, that how I used to listen to her all blabbering." Suddenly, I realized what I was talking about when I saw Raghav having an ecstatic smile on his face.

"Why you stop? Carry on, you know Sid. It is only when you talk about your moti when I see you grinning for real. I am just fed up with this fake Sid," he pointed at me. "I want the real Sid back which I get when he talks about his moti." He turned grimaced on seeing that his words didn't affect me. I showed that it didn't but it did.

Getting no reply from me, he kept silent for a minute or so. "You know yesterday there was a match. Man, it escapes from my mind, India won against Australia." And soon the conversation moved to a sports setting.

We reached the hotel. The girls had already returned from the shopping, we took a longer time than them. I knew Raghav was no less than a girl when it same about shopping. I shook my head.

"Boys you took more hours than us in shopping." Navya sounded amazed.

"It's nothing new if you're shopping with Raghav." Sara narrowed her eyes at him, "and all sort of thing you brought?" She shook her head, I knew she wouldn't be pleased with his shopping.

"Don't give me that look, I had warned you before to accompany me but you didn't so the fault is yours." Raghav justified himself, Sara just glared at him.

"You both siblings stop fighting as already one debate is going on." Preeti di scold them, pointing at some distance away from where Shehnaaz had been quarreling with her mom about something.

"What's the matter over there?" Raghav asked been curious.

"Shehnaaz is explaining that why she brought that color dress while her mom is arguing on the clothes should have been of which color." Navya shrugged her shoulder, in a manner that she is fed up with the fight.

"Both are stubborn and not going to back out." There came a Shehbaaz voice who just joined us. "It's our family trait you see, will all are stubborn." He winked at us.

"But our Sid is too not less when it comes to stubbornness," Mom spoke who was busy surviving the dress which had been brought.

"I am not stubborn mom," I grumbled, she just chuckled.

"See you're not agreeing that shows how stubborn you're." As she spoke it everyone started cackling and I moved from there been annoyed.

"Stubborn" I murmured and soon that word brought a smile.

### Past ###

Days were going on it full speed as she beside me. The sixth day was completed and there was the beginning of the seventh one. I had got a call from Simran about an urgent meeting but I informed her that I won't be able to attain it.

Sara was busy with her clinic and I couldn't leave Sana on the responsibility of maid. Not that I didn't trust the maid but I couldn't count her with Sana's condition. So I took the decision not to attend the meeting. I had got many calls from Kiran, the reason I had to get my phone in silent mode.

We were sitting in the dining area and I was feeding her breakfast with my hand. She was showing tantrums as in breakfast it was not parathas but oatmeal. The moment she saw the bowl, she made a nauseating face.

"Baby one spoon and then you're done with it," I spoke lifting the last spoon near her face. Somehow I was able to make her eat the entire bowl. That was a huge achievement! To make a stubborn girl like Sana to eat it, but her stubbornness did turn me stubborn too.

"Kullu, you're very bad. I hate you," she whined. "You said today we will have a delicious breakfast. This taste yuck!" She cried out, I just chuckled seeing it.

I passed a glass of water so she could drink it, kept the bowl aside. I gave up as she had eaten beyond her capacity when it came to healthy food.

"Sweetheart you heard that I said delicious but along with it I had added healthy. Who would say that? And this was delicious as well as healthy." As she drank the water, I wiped off her face with the tissue.

"So I am done with breakfast so will I get to watch a movie?" She asked, her eyes twinkling with excitement. I shook my head, Sara had made her addicted to films.

"Not now but at night! Now we will play games." With that I stood up from the chair, stretching my hand. She just widened her arms, gesturing me to pick her up. I just smiled, how could I forget? She just loved me carrying her up, in my arms.

Tum Yoon Mile Ho Jabse Mujhe
Aur Sunehari Main Lagti Hoon

I picked her up, she wrapped her both arms around my neck. Her legs around my waist, my hands holding her close to me, through her waist. She was giggling, planning some mischief. With that, she pecks my lip. I was dazed for a second and upon listening to her giggles, I glared her.

Sirf Labon Se Nahi Ab To
Poore Badan Se Hansti Hoon

"What you just did?" I asked her.

"I was not able to say good night yesterday, as I slept here watching the movie. So I wished now." She gave me a sheepish smile, how could I even fake anger at such an innocent soul?

"Good morning," we heard a greet. I moved my gaze at the person and I was astounded with the person present on the entrance. "Hope I didn't disturb you, Sid." She gave me a teasing smile. Damn! Did she saw Sana pecking my lip.

"Mom, why would you disturb me." I saw she keenly staring at Sana, who was in my arms. Oh shit! That was so embarrassing, though she was my mom still. I looked at Sana who was staring at Mom with a grin. "Sana, get down," I tried to pull her away but she didn't give up.

"Why?" She frowned, tightening her arms around my neck.

"Moti, don't you want to meet my mom?" She nodded vigorously, "so get down. I will introduce her," I was going to continue but Mom interrupted.

"We know each other very well, Sid." Mom gave me a mischievous smile. "We had met before, what say Sana? And I don't think she has to get down to meet me." She winked at me, I whimpered listening to it.

"Sana, get down," I ordered, she made a pout but obeyed. "And mom you here?" I tried to change the topic as I didn't want to carry on with my teasing session.

Sana stood beside me holding my hand in hers, entangling them. Mom stared at her once, having a satisfied smile. "I came here after I got to know from Kiran and you were not receiving her calls. I tried to reach you but you were not answering mine too. I asked Sara if she knew about your whereabouts but she said she had no conversation with you. So finally I end up here."

I knead my forehead, I stressed her out keeping my phone on silent. "Mom that Kiran was disturbing me again and again so I kept the call on silent. It got out of my mind, that you might too call me up." I was guilty, she just brushed off hair from my forehead.

"You don't have to feel guilty for it. I came here not to meet you but to spend some time with Sana. I got to know from Sara that you finally decided to keep Sana along with you and I am glad you took that decision." She grinned, caressing my cheek.

"Now Sana I have to talk with you so much but why don't you let Sid leave. We will enjoy together the way you enjoy with Sara." That statement out and I knew why she came here.

Mother had some aptitude, they could understand your problems without you sharing it with them. The way my mom got that I was stressed out regarding Sana and she came to help me out with her.

Just that moment I realized Sana grip on me tightened. "He will again leave me," she turned, dishearten and soon hugged me tightly. "Kullu you won't go anywhere, you promised that you won't leave me alone." She whimpered, and tears were brimming from her eyes on the mere mention of me leaving her.

Mere Din, Raat Salone Se
Sab Hai Tere Hi Hone Se

"Shh!" I cupped her cheek, "baby I won't ever leave you. I will have to go so that I can bring chocolates for you. Don't you want chocolates?" I asked her for which she gave a slight nod. "So then you have to let me go," she sulked but wiped off her tears.

"But you will come soon, pinky promise." I smiled, as she moved her tiny finger towards my hand. I locked my tiny finger with her.

"Pinky promise, baby." I kissed on her forehead, "do take care." Sounding rather disappointed, as I too was going to miss her. She would say it out, I rather kept it inside.

Sana nodded and run upstairs, I stared at her retreating figure been confused. I peeped at mom who was beaming staring at me. "I didn't know that my son knows to handle the situation with so much patience. I was unaware of this trait of my son, I should thank Sana for making me discover this one." I just gave her whatever look, climbing the stairs.

### Past end ###

I got into my room, the bag was still lying on the couch. I sign and moved towards the bag, removed the ring box from it. Opening it up, I stared at the ring. It was an exact piece, perfectly done but the question still arising in my brain was why they both lied?

That thought was wandering in my mind when I got a knock on the door. I was carving for some privacy but in a surroundings like wedding, it was highly impossible. I kept the ring box on the table in front of me, walking towards the door.

I opened the door and found my two sisters on the entrance along with Sara. All three grinning ear to ear, what were these three up to? "You?" I raised a bow.

"Sid! Don't you know manners? You should call the person in." With that Neetu, di pushed me and entered in followed by Sara and Preeti di.

"What were you doing?" Preeti di asked, as I closed the door and turned towards them. Sara and Neetu di and occupied the couch while Preeti di was on the bed.

"Nothing was just longing for peace which you three deprived me off." I mocked, which made Preeti di to narrow her eyes at me.

"Are you indirectly trying to convey that we are disturbing you?" Neetu di growled.

"Should I pen it down?" Been by sarcastic self.

"This much insult! I had never faced throughout my life." Neetu di been her dramatic self, I narrowed my eyes at her.

"Neetu! Stop it!" Preeti di too was exasperated by her. "Sid, we are here to know the remaining past as our conversation last night was interrupted. And here no one will interrupt us, we want to know the entire past. Sara had told us about the decision you took as we kept on persisting her the entire night. Now we want to know what happened after that?" She sounded curious.

"Wait! This ring," Neetu di asked as her eye landed on it.

"It was Sid choice for his moti." Sara passed a sad smile at me.

"Wow! It so beautiful," she opened the box. "How much do I want your moti to see it." Neetu di spoke peeping at me. "She would love it!"

"She did!" Sara blurted out, which made Neetu di and Preeti di to give her a skeptical look.
