Good Luck
"You can't just tell him, and leave. He has to believe you, otherwise what's the sense."
ヽ༼⁰o⁰;༽ノ
I looked at her in disbelief, wondering how in the hell I was supposed to make him believe me. That wasn't part of the deal. At least I didn't think it was.
"Wait, so not only do I have to tell him that you knew all along that he was cheating on you, but I also have to make sure he believes me. How is this even fair?"
Taehyung was still sitting in the same spot, his eyes moving from me, to the spot where she was standing, but of course, he couldn't see her. He probably thought I was crazy by now, having a conversation with thin air.
"Don't worry, I have the perfect thing for you to say to him to get him to believe you. It won't be difficult, I promise."
I swallowed, nervous enough about the job I was being forced into against my will, but the fact that it was what it was, made it even worse.
Basically, she wanted me to tell her husband, who had obviously moved on by now, and in fact, had moved on before she had even been killed in an accident, it seems, that she had known all along that he was cheating on her, and she has a way to prove it.
My head hurt.
"Hyung, are you okay?"
I looked at Taehyung, who was watching me with a worried expression.
"Not really, Tae Tae, but at this point, I just want to get this over with, ya know?"
"Tell that cutie there that I'd gladly watch him shower anytime!"
"What?" I turned to look at her, and she was smiling, then she winked at me. "Ew, no, I will not tell him that."
I looked back at Taehyung in time to see his eyes widen.
"Tell me what, hyung?"
I shook my head. "Nothing, don't worry about it. She was kidding."
"Actually, I wasn't. He's kinda hot."
She was looking at Taehyung, a lustful look in her eyes, and I groaned in annoyance. I couldn't get rid of her quick enough.
"So, I guess I need to know your husbands name, and where to go so that I can do what you're asking of me, and help you get wherever you're supposed to be going."
She nodded, her attention back on me finally.
"He'll be working today, so you'll find him in his office all day long."
She gave me the address, and his name, and I wrote it all down and stuck the paper in my pocket. I looked at her, and prayed that this worked, so I didn't have to see her anymore.
"So, you aren't going to be there when I'm telling him all this, are you?"
She shook her head. "No, I'll leave you to that, but I need to tell you what to say to get him to believe you. Trust me, it'll work."
I nodded, closing my eyes in exasperation. "Fine, what is it?"
She came closer to me, leaning in near my ear, although I'm not sure why, and it was difficult not to back away from her. But I sucked in a breath, and waited for her to speak.
As she quietly told me what to say, my eyes widened in shock, and I could feel the heat rising to my cheeks. Fuck my life.
She finished talking, and backed away, looking at me in sick satisfaction.
"I hate you right now, you know that, right?"
"Hyung?" Taehyung uttered, and I looked at him and shook my head.
She laughed loudly, and I flinched, backing up a step.
"So once I've told him, and gotten him to believe me, you'll leave, and I'll never have to see you again, right?"
"Gee Hobi, I thought we were becoming close. I'm hurt that you seem so eager to get rid of me."
"I need you to leave me alone. I can't have you screwing things up for me. Do you know who I am? Who we are?" I asked, gesturing between Taehyung and I.
"Of course I know who you are silly. I found you at a fan sign event, didn't I? Seriously though, I didn't think it would be one of you who ended up able to see me. I've been popping into places for the past year, trying to find someone who could help me. Nada, zilch, zip, until I popped into that fan sign. Then, there you were, looking at me like I didn't belong there. That's how I knew you could see me. And now, here we are, great friends!"
"We are not friends," I said to her, then turned to Taehyung.
"Feel like going for a ride with me. The sooner I find this guy and do what she's asked, the sooner things can get back to normal."
"Uh...sure hyung. But don't you want to have some breakfast first? I think Jin hyung was making pancakes, and bacon and eggs."
"No, we'll grab something on the way back. I just want to go and do this. Then she can leave, and I won't have to deal with this crazy shit anymore."
"I wouldn't be so sure, sunshine."
I turned to her. "What's that supposed to mean?"
"Oh, nothing. Good luck." She chirped, and then she disappeared.
I closed my eyes, bringing my hands up and rubbing them up and down my face in frustration.
"Let's go, Tae-ah. I just want to get this over with."
He nodded without saying anything, and followed me out of the room.
Once in the living room, I saw all the guys in the kitchen, sitting around the table eating breakfast.
"Come eat you two, it's getting cold." Jin called.
"Can't right now. Gotta run, but we'll be back as soon as we can. Don't worry about saving us any, we'll grab something while we're out."
"Wait..." Jungkook called out. "Where are you guys going? Can I come?"
"Not this time Kookie. I'll explain when I get back. I'm in a bit of a hurry, so I'll see you guys later."
They were all looking at me with confused expressions on their faces, but I couldn't let that slow me down.
"Come on Taehyung, let's go."
Taehyung was basically following me, without saying much, and I guess I could understand it. He'd just sat in my room, watching me talk to someone he couldn't see, or hear, and that had to be extremely weird, even if he was the one person out of all of them that probably believed in this sort of thing.
We climbed into my car, and I pulled the wrinkled paper out of my pocket, putting the address in my phone's GPS, and backing out of the driveway.
It was 45 minutes from here, so I turned on the radio, just to make the time pass quicker, keeping the volume low in case Taehyung decided to talk.
But he remained quiet for the first 20 minutes, looking out the window next to him, and I wondered what he was thinking.
Finally, he spoke, and I honestly wished he'd remained quiet.
"Hyung, what did she want you to tell me?"
I stared straight ahead, paying attention to the road, pretending I didn't hear him.
"Hyung, tell me. I wanna know," he whined cutely.
I shook my head. "No, you don't. Trust me."
"I do. Just tell me. Why won't you?"
"Because Taehyung, it wasn't very nice what she said, and I don't want to tell you."
"Come on, it can't be that bad. Just tell me. I'm not going to get upset."
I shook my head twice, really not wanting to tell him. But I also realized that he would probably keep pestering me until I did.
"Fine, you want to know what she said?"
"I already said I did, so just tell me."
"Okay, but don't say I didn't warn you."
He nodded, waiting for me to speak, and I drew in a breath, hoping he was satisfied once I told him. But I had a feeling he was going to be sorry he'd insisted on knowing.
"She told me to tell you that she'd gladly watch you shower anytime..."
I trailed off there, keeping my eyes on the road, there being no need to say anything else.
It was silent for maybe 2 minutes before he finally spoke.
"Wait...what? Watch me....shower?"
My lips curved into a small smile.
"You heard me. Apparently, just because I can't see her, doesn't mean she isn't there. And you can't see her anyway, so she could be in your room, watching you, at any time, and you wouldn't even know it."
I glanced at him for a quick second, seeing his adams apple bob as he swallowed. His hand came up, his index finger rubbing across his upper lip, and I knew he was sorry he'd asked.
"You wish you hadn't asked now, huh?"
"That's pretty creepy, hyung. I thought you were kidding when you said that about her watching yesterday."
"Yeah, I know. I don't think I'll shower the same ever again."
My GPS told me to turn right, and I slowed down, making the turn and speeding up again, seeing that there were only 8 minutes left until we arrived at our destination.
I was getting a bit nervous, not sure how I was going to start this conversation. But quite honestly, at this point, I didn't care. I just wanted to say what needed to be said, and be done with it. I didn't really care if he wanted to hear what I was saying or not. I needed to get rid of Naeun, and I'd do whatever I had to do to make that happen.
A few minutes later we were turning into the parking lot of a large office building, and I pulled into the first empty parking spot I found. I turned the car off, and took a deep breath, turning to Taehyung.
"You don't have to come with me if you don't want to. You can wait here, and I'll be as quick as I can."
He shook his head. "No, I'm coming with you hyung. I came to support you, sitting in the car isn't going to help you at all."
I pressed my lips together, nodding, and opened the door, climbing out of the car. Taehyung got out on the other side, and gave me an encouraging smile, and we started towards the building.
"Are you okay, hyung? Just remember, once you're done, she has to leave you alone, right?"
I nodded, and reached for the handle of the door, pulling it opened and letting Tae go in ahead of me. Once inside, I spotted the receptionist desk, and walked towards it.
An attractive young lady looked up when I reached the desk, smiling at me, and I faltered a little, shaking my head to try and get the thoughts that were building there to disappear.
"Uh, I need to speak with Mr. Han Jisung please."
Her eyes narrowed slightly. "Do you have an appointment?"
"No, I don't, but his wife asked me to give him a message."
Her eyes widened, and I felt a little bad for what I was about to do.
"H...his wife? But she's dead. She was killed in a car accident a year ago."
I nodded. "Mhm, I know. Can I please just speak to Mr. Han. It'll only take a minute."
"O...one moment please...I'll see if he's available." She stuttered.
She picked up the phone, and hit a number, then she started speaking quietly, but I could hear her.
"Jisung, there's someone here saying he needs to speak with you, he said he has a message from your wife....I know...I don't know, I'm just telling you what he said. No, but I don't think he's going to leave until he has a chance to speak with you...okay, yes, I'll tell him."
She hung up, looking up at me with a frown.
"Mr. Han said to tell you to go home, he has nothing to say to you, nor does he want to hear what you have to say. I'm sorry."
"Did you know he was married, before you started sleeping with him?"
She sucked in a breath, then started coughing, her hand coming up to her chest as she tried to catch her breath.
I hated this.
"Did you know that his wife refused to have sex with him doggy style, that's why he started hitting on you. Once he found out that you prefer it that way, he started cheating on her, and seeing you. Did he ever tell you about his wife? He must have, right?"
"S...stop, please..."
"Then get him out here so I can deliver the message I have for him."
I caught a glimpse of Taehyung, standing off to the side, just observing everything, but he looked upset. I knew he was probably disappointed in me for the way I was treating this woman, but I had to do this. I had to get Naeun to leave me alone.
She picked up the phone again. "Jisung...you have to come out here, he won't leave until he talks to you...no, security isn't...Jisung, I'm serious, you need to come out here..."
She hung up the phone, and 10 seconds later an angry man came barging through the door behind the reception desk, glaring at me like he was going to disembowel me.
I gulped, and got ready to speak.
"What the fuck do you want? My wife is dead, has been for a year. Why are you here?" He bellowed.
"Your wife wanted me to tell you that she knew you were cheating on her, right from the beginning. She knew, and she wanted so badly to ruin you, but she didn't get the chance, she died in that car accident before she could complete her plan."
"What in the hell are you talking about? You can't possibly know anything about me, or my wife. Get the hell out of here before I call the cops and report you for harassment."
"Your wife's name was Naeun. Your receptionist's name is Jisoo, and she likes it when you bend her over the desk and fuck her from behind. When she orgasms, she screams like a howler monkey, and then sounds like a donkey braying as she comes down from the climax. She also has a birthmark on the inside of her left thigh, shaped like a butterfly missing the top part of it's wing on one side. Oh...and she snores like a freight train after she falls asleep, but you've never told her, because you don't want to hurt her feelings."
