Fan Meet
[Namjoon]
What absolute chaos...as usual.
Fan meetings, they were always like this. All the staff running around, trying to make sure we were all in our rightful places on time, and that the fans weren't being rude to each other, or pushing and shoving to get in before everyone else.
Jimin and Taehyung were standing in a corner with their heads together, talking. Jin and J-Hope were in front of the board with all the sticky notes on it, looking over the possible questions we would have to answer. Suga was already in his chair, his head leaned forward with his chin resting on his chest and his arms crossed, eyes closed as if he were asleep. I knew he wasn't, but he would pretend so he didn't have to do anything until it was time to greet the fans.
I had no idea where Jungkook was. He should be here, getting ready to take his seat with the rest of us.
"Hey, do any of you know where Jungkookie is? I haven't seen him yet, and we have 10 minutes till this thing starts."
The 5 of them all looked in my direction, shaking their heads and looking around as if to try and spot him among the staff all scattered around.
"I'll go see if he's in the dressing room or the bathroom." Taehyung offered, quickly leaving to check.
Suga lifted his head, glancing at me.
"He's here, because I saw him by the vending machines, stocking up on snacks. I'm sure he'll be here on time." He mumbled lazily.
I nodded.
"Well, we should all be taking our seats now. Does everybody have a marker?"
They all shuffled to their seats, marker in hand, placing it on the table in front of them.
Thirty seconds later, Taehyung came back through the door he'd exited minutes earlier, Jungkook right behind him, arms full of snacks that he deposited next to his chair on the floor, immediately picking up a bag and tearing it opened.
We all looked at him, and he looked at each of us innocently, brows raised.
"What? I'm hungry."
Suga chuckled. "Leave the boy alone. He has to grow."
Jungkook scowled at him.
"Not funny hyung. I've been taller than you since before we debuted."
Suga huffed, amused, but didn't reply.
"Okay, everyone in their places, we're getting ready to open the doors..." one of the staff yelled, and we all sighed and fixed our attention towards the doors the fans would file in through.
Thirty seconds later the doors opened, and we watched as they came in, all chattering excitedly, being guided to the standing area where they would wait until it was their turn to meet each of us.
The area behind the barricade was full, people bumping into each other, but they all still smiled, waving to us happily. Many were calling out to us, telling us they loved us, and we smiled and waved back.
Less than a minute later, the line formed, and the first fan was standing in front of Jin, an album book in her hand for him to sign.
Jin was in the first seat, and next to Jin was Jimin, followed by Taehyung, Jungkook, Suga, then myself and Hobi.
As the line started to move, and there was finally a fan in front of each of us, I found myself hoping everything went smoothly, and that we didn't end up here for half the day.
I loved fan meet events, it was great to get to meet the people who supported us and had been there even when we hadn't been so popular. But they sometimes dragged out so long, and by the end of the event, we were all ready to crash for as long as we were allowed to.
You wouldn't think it would be so tiring, just sitting here, signing your name and greeting fans. But you'd be surprised. Most times we were all falling asleep in our seats as the last fans were coming down the line.
But these events were fun, and we all looked forward to them, despite how tired we were by the end.
The line moved nicely, and I had hope that maybe this particular event wouldn't last as long as some of the others had. It had started a bit earlier in the day, so that would help, but it would last several hours, regardless.
We still had the fan questions to answer once the actual fan meet part of it was over, and we usually decided on a set number of questions we would answer before everything started. If we didn't, it became a matter of the fans always wanting just one more question, and it was hard to disappoint them.
We would tell them that we would answer 5 questions each, and that's how many sticky notes we would pull off the board. However, sometimes it was difficult to decide which questions we wanted to answer. There were so many interesting ones, that it was often hard to stop at the number we'd decided on. Jungkook and Taehyung always wanted to keep looking for more questions to answer.
"Hey, I wonder what's up with that girl in the front there? She looks like she's been in a fight or something, and she looks pissed." J-Hope said, leaning towards me and nodding his head towards the left side of the room. "I hope she doesn't cause any trouble."
I glanced in that direction, but a fan appeared in front of me and I gave her my attention. I hadn't seen whoever J-Hope had been talking about. Everyone looked fine to me. But as I side glanced at him while I was signing the book, he certainly looked like he was looking at someone, a concerned expression on his face.
Once the fan moved from me to J-Hope, I looked in the direction he'd been looking, but all I saw were fans smiling and waving, talking amongst themselves , and no one looked like they'd been in a fight.
The girl was ushered away, leaving us both free for a few seconds, and before another fan got to me I turned to J-Hope.
"I'm not sure who you see, but I don't see anything except fans smiling and waving. No one looks pissed. Is she still there?"
He nodded.
"Yeah, right there in the front, you can't miss her. She's wearing a purple plaid coat, but it's ripped and tattered in places, and her hair is sticking up everywhere. She looks like she might have a cut on her lip too."
I stared at him, becoming concerned. There was no one that looked like that anywhere in the crowd of people standing in front of us.
"Hobi hyung, are you feeling okay? Maybe you should go lie down."
"What? I'm fine, why would you even suggest that? We have fans to greet."
"Cause man, there's no one like what you just described in that crowd."
"She's right there, in the very front, how can you not see her sta-HOLY SHIT..."
I jumped when Hobi yelled, jumping up and falling out of his chair, landing on the floor next to it and promptly scuttling backwards like a crab trying to get away from a hand reaching for it.
The staff closest to us immediately went to help him, and I turned to see him wide eyed, staring at the corner of the table as he was lifted to a stand, his face as white as a ghost.
They led him away, probably to make sure he was okay, and I heard someone loudly explain that J-Hope would be back shortly, and that they were sorry for anyone who missed the opportunity to greet him, and that if they wanted something signed, they could leave it and he would sign it as quickly as he was able so they could have it returned to them before they left.
I was worried, but I knew the staff would treat him well, and he should be back out any moment.

[J-Hope]
I didn't know why RM couldn't see the girl, she was standing right there. I hadn't noticed her at the beginning of the event, but at one point I had looked up, and there she was, just standing there, looking super pissed off.
I continued greeting fans, and signing books, but every time I looked up, she was still standing there, not looking any happier. I wondered if something had happened at a previous fan meet that had made her unhappy, and she had come back to confront someone.
But he said he didn't see anyone like what I had described.
It was impossible to miss her.
"She's right there, in the very front, how can you not see her sta-HOLY SHIT..."
I jumped out of the chair, my butt hitting the floor as I crawled backwards as fast as I could, staring at the girl who was suddenly right in front of me at the corner of the table.
She was watching me, but no one else was even looking at her. How she got there so quickly is beyond me, since fans have to move down the line one by one. It was like she just teleported from where she'd been standing to the spot in front of me, skipping the line completely.
My head was spinning, and I didn't argue when the staff urged me to step out for a moment, so they could make sure I was okay from my fall, and one of the noona's brought me a cool towel to wipe my face with.
"Are you okay, Hobi-ah? You're very pale."
I rubbed my face with the towel, the coolness of it refreshing, and nodded.
"Yeah, yeah, I think so. I just got startled by that girl appearing in front of me like that. How did she skip the line to get there so quickly?"
She was looking at me, confusion clear in her expression.
"What girl, Hobi-ah? No one skipped the line. There was no one in front of you yet, the next fan was still talking to Jeongguk-ah."
I shook my head.
"No, there was a girl in a tattered purple plaid coat with dark hair that looked like it hadn't been combed in days, she was standing in the crowd, and then suddenly she was right in front of me."
The noona looked at me, her brows furrowed in worry.
"Wait here, Hobi-ah, I'm going to go for Namjoon-ah, so he can say if he saw her too. Maybe I missed her."
She left, leaving me in the small room by myself. I took a deep breath, leaning to rest my head in my hands, wondering if maybe I was going crazy.
"They can't see me."
I jumped, spinning around to see the girl standing there in a corner, watching me, still looking pissed.
"H...how did you get in here? Why did security let you through?"
She smiled, but it looked more like a sneer.
"No one can see me. Apparently, only you can."
"W-what do you m-mean, no one can s-see you?"
I had gotten up, but it was a bad idea, as I suddenly felt dizzy. I backed away from her, but I couldn't go far, the room was rather small.
"You don't have to be afraid, I'm not going to hurt you. I just need your help."
I leaned against the wall, breathing hard, wondering where the noona was, and why she was taking so long.
"You can try to ignore me, but I'm not going to leave you alone until you help me. No one else can see me, so you're the only one who can help."
"W-why can't anyone else see you?" I asked, my voice shaking.
"Because I'm dead. I'm a ghost," she answered without hesitation.
I suddenly felt lightheaded, and I could feel my consciousness slipping away as I stared at her, wishing I hadn't asked. The last thing I remember is seeing her tilt her head to one side, watching me as I slumped to the side, having fainted into thankful oblivion.
