Prologue 5: Ramshakle Dorm

Once we arrived at the Ramshackle dorm, the dorm that I'm seeing looks...

"Wow umm...it looks tasteful...." I complimented pretty awkwardly with a sweat drop dripping down from my head.

"That's right, that's right! Well, come inside." He insisted as we both went inside the dorm where the inside is cluttered with paintings, vases, a rocking chair, and the table is upside down on the floor.

"My goodness...." I muttered while staring at how messy this dorm is.

"If you stay here, you can at least protect yourself from the wind and rain. I'm going to investigate a little more, so kill some time here as you wish." He informed as I bow my head to the headmaster.

"Thank you very much, Mr. Crowley."

"Most certainly, now don't wander around the campus! Bye!" He reminded me as he opens the door and left me in the dorm. Afterward, I took a good glance at the room.

"Guess I have to clean up before sitting down..." I mumbled before forming a grin.

"No worries, I'm pretty organized myself so this won't be too bad for me," I stated as I ran to the kitchen to find some cleaning products to clean up the mess, but soon I caught something on the table.

What the-

I walked to the table where I recognized my stuff.

It's my phone and my bag! And...what is this?

I grabbed the letter and opened it that says this:

"Dear Gloriane,
Here are your belongings that I transported from your world. Now here's a message that you must remember:

"Flower, gleam, and glow
Let your power shine
Make the clock reverse bring back what once was mine
Heal what has been hurt
Change the Fates' design
Save what has been lost
Bring back once was mine
What once was mine."

I blink my eyes to recognize those words before: this is the healing incantation from Tangled that Rapunzel used to heal Eugene in the movie, but...why would someone give this to me for?

Soon I scrolled down to the little sentence that says "Once you're done reading the chant, go to the top drawer on your left to receive your gift". Baffled yet curious, I went to the top drawer and opened it, but I wasn't expecting to be surprised I recognized that dagger before:

"Oh my god....this is what Gothel used when she's hunting down Rapunzel!" I gasped while gazing at the dagger, but I lightly shook my head.

Doesn't matter, I need to clean up this mess before I sort things out.

I remind myself as I dagger into my pocket and start cleaning from the kitchen to the living room. It was a pretty exhausting time where I clean the dust, rearranging items, vacuuming, straightening out curtains, turning the coffee table and the rocking chair right side up, and most importantly *shivers* cleaning out the spider webs, but thankfully there aren't any spiders in the dorm.

An hour later after finished cleaning up, I flop to the chair and wipe the sweat from my forehead.

"Phew, I'm tired..." I sighed as I spun to the window to see it's raining outside.

Yep, it's definitely pouring outside.

I thought while staring at the window.

"Eeeww! Suddenly it started raining so heavily."

"Oh for the love of god!" I cursed as I spun to see that same small raccoon cat creature in the dorm.

"Ahahaha! Your face! You look so stupid right now, like a bat getting shot by a water gun!" Grim cackled.

"For the great me, sneaking back again into the academy is an easy thing. If they think I'll give up just because they kicked me out, they're wrong!" He boastfully proclaimed. I rolled my eyes at his cockiness.

"So why do you want to attend this school so badly?" I asked curiously where I'm not in the mood of dealing with him since I'm tired.

"It's simple! Just because I am a genius and I'm going to become a great magician!" He declared.

"Oh really?" I asked in a sarcastic tone.

"Yup! For a long time, I've always waited for the black carriage to pick me up. But...but... Hmph! That Mirror of Darkness is so blind! So, I came here by myself. People don't get that not letting me in is a loss for everyone." He stated.

"Mhm sure..." I dryly replied. Suddenly a raindrop fell from the ceiling and landed on Grim's head.

"Nyah! It's so cold! The roof! It's leaking!" He yelped and once again the raindrop fell on his head.

"Gya! The water again! If it keeps going, my flaming ears will go out!" He shrilled as I stand up and glance up at the ceiling.

"It will be better to take a bucket," I suggested while staring at the ceiling.

"Wait, we can just fix this quickly with magic...right, you can't use magic unless you unlock it. Pfft, you're so useless!" He cackled as I cross my arms and glared at the obnoxious raccoon cat when he called me "useless".

"Then why not help me with this leak if you have magic yourself, The Great Grim?" I sassed back mocking his name that he called himself earlier.

"Huh? You want help? No way! I'm just a monster protecting from rain for a while." He rebuked.

"Oh? I thought you said you're a genius wizard that could do anything. Was that a lie?" I asked with a smirk making Grim flustered before frowning at me.

"S-Shut up! Besides, you don't even have a can of tuna with you, so there's no way I'm helping you." He arrogantly retorted.

"Fine, suit yourself." I shrugged as I went downstairs to find a bucket for the leak. As I climb downstairs, something felt wrong when I felt some kind of strange air of uncertainty I heard a fainted noise.

What?

I thought, but suddenly three ghosts appeared out of nowhere.

"Holy hell!" I cursed as I fell to the steps of the stairs.

"Ihihihihi....hihihihihhi...We haven't had a guest for a long time!" Said the lanky ghost.

"I'm so excited!" The chubby ghost chuckled ominously. I got up from the steps while shivering.

Seriously?! Crowley never told me there would be ghosts haunting this place!

I thought looking a bit scared but irritated right now.

"Why are you freaking out all of the sudd- Gyaaa! G-G-G-G-Ghooooooosts?!" Grim shrilled once he got downstairs.

"Tell me who you are and why are you in this dorm?" I directly ask while staring intently at them.

"We're ghosts that's been haunting this dorm for centuries. I'm Hendrix." The skinny ghost introduces as he extends his arm to the other ghosts.

"And these are my buddies, Chauncey and Langston," Hendrix informed.

"Everyone who lived here before got and ran away." The medium-sized ghost named Langston informed.

"We're always looking for new comrades. Do you want to join us?" The chubby ghost named Chauncey asked.

"Like hell we aren't!" I retorted.

"U-u-uuuh, iiiiih! Grim, the great magician isn't afraid of g-ghosts! Gnyah!" Grim then summons his blue flames causing me to dodge.

"Sheesh, not this again!" I cursed while ducking from his blue flames.

"Where are you looking at?" Hendrix taunted.

"We are over here, here! Ihihihihih!" Chauncey cackled.

"Crap! Stop appearing and disappearing like that!" Grim shouted as he summoned the blue flames one more time making me irritated.

"Will you cut that out! You're going to burn this place up if you keep doing that!" I scolded with a glare.

"Shut up! Don't give me orders!" He retorted making me sighed, but suddenly I remembered something from my mind.

Then it got me a great idea and snapped my fingers.

"Hey Grim, if you could beat those ghosts, you'll get tuna as a prize!" I persuaded making him paused and turned to me with a surprised expression.

"Wha-?! Ugh... I'm a genius. I will get rid of them quickly!" He retorted, but I tilt my brow at him as I look at him skeptically.

"You sure about that?" I inquired.

"Ihihihihihih!" The ghosts then cackled throughout the halls causing the boastful small raccoon cat to flinched but glare at them.

"That's unfair, you are so many, you cowards!" He whined.

"Come on Grim, I'll add another can of tuna to the prize pool if you can do it!" I coerced with a side smirk making the rebellious animal grumble for a bit before begrudgingly giving in.

"Fine! Just tell me where the ghosts are!" He demanded as the lanky ghost appeared behind him.

"To your left!" I yelled and he did what I told him as he aims the blue flames at the lanky ghost.

"Ha! Got it!" Grim cheered.

"Noice! Let's keep on going shall we?"

"Graaaaahhh I will burn you into crisps you stupid ghosts!" Grim sneered as we both began battling ghosts where I showed Grim the targets while Grim shoots flames at the ghosts after telling him the location. A few hours later...

"Hot, hot, hot!" Hendrix winced.

"Oh, I hit it! Alright, we're gonna get rid of them this way!" Grim declared as I chuckled and face the ghosts with confidence gleaming in my face.

"Then let's get to it then!" I cheered as this battle has just got started.
