Prologue 12: Goddamnit Grim!
"Grim you little turd! Get back here!!!!" I cursed at him while Ace, Deuce, and I chase him around campus. Oh my god, I can't believe this. Of course he would tricked Ace so he can do the dirty work for him. It was a real in the ass goose chase where we all tried to capture Grim, but he kept popping here and there like a groundhog with his vanishing powers.
We then hustled into the cafeteria to see him hopping on the chandelier.
"Crap! He's darting around everywhere!" Ace growled, totally over it.
"Heehee! Catch me if you can, suckers!" Grim taunted from way up high.
"Grim! Stop being a little sh#t and get off the damn chandelier!" I demanded, but he sticks his tongue me.
"You don't tell me what to do henchman! Hehehehe!" Grim cackled while doing his little taunting dance making me pissed the f@#k off.
"Grim I swear! I'm going to go ape-sh#t Godzilla up in your raccoon herding-ass, if you don't get down here!" I scolded raising my fist at him.
"Then come at me, if ya wanna beat my ass!" He taunted pissing me off even more.
"Son of a-!"
"Grrr! Getting on the chandelier is such a cowardly move!" Deuce muttered.
"We haven't learned flying magic yet. We need something to get there and also catch him..." he mumbled. I stared Deuce wondering what he's planning.
Whatever he had in mind, I hope it works.
I thought while staring at him.
"Aha! I've got it!" He said, whipping out his pen. Then faces Ace.
"Y'know, I have one in mind...uh, whoa-w-w-w-w-w-w-w-whoa! Hang on a sec! Why are you pointing your magic pen at me?!" He started backing up.
"I'm gonna throw you!" Deuce answered.
"Wait what?" I widened my eyes with a panicked look.
"You can't be serio-whaaaa! Don't do that!" Before I know it, Ace was floating up like a balloon. "Don't throw me! Cut it out!!"
"Just catch him, okay?!" Deuce ordered. "Ready and..."
"Deuce wait! I don't think that's a-"
"FIRE!!"
Annnnd it was too late for that when I witnessed Deuce throwing Ace flying at top speed, screaming his lungs out.
I clenched my eyes shut and looked away when I can hear a crash. I slowly opened my eyes and turn my head when I saw Grim and Ace flat on the floor, the chandelier crushed underneath their bodies.
"Oh god..." I winced cringing at the impact that they put through.
Ace sat up, coughing up dust and Grim was seeing stars as he laid on the floor.
"Damn, I messed up! I didn't think about the landing!" Deuce realized and I let out a sigh with sympathetic look.
Ace stared at him in fury. "Are you....AN IDIOOOOOT?!" He kept to his feet.
"We got Grim, but if the headmaster finds out we broke the chandelier-"
And he's gonna appear in three, two, one-
"IF I...find out?"
Bingo.
"Uh...Headmaster...." Ace started looking away.
"Just. What. Exactly. HAVE YOU DONE?!" Crowley demanded.
"Fnyaaa...the room's still spinning..." Grim mumbled.
"You weren't satisfied with just damaging the statue, so you decided to wreck the chandelier?! This is the final straw! I'll have you all expelled!!!" He scolded causing me to gasp. Deuce and Ace became petrified just by the thought of it.
"Please! Anything but that! I have things I have to do at this school!" Deuce pleaded.
"You've nothing to blame but your own actions!" Crowley noted.
"Mr. Crowley, please, give them a cha-" I tried to defend them, but he then gave me a look that told me to keep my mouth shut.
"I'll pay for the damages if I have to!" Deuce offered.
"This is no ordinary chandelier. This is a magic chandelier that uses candles that will burn for eternity. A masterpiece that was made by a legendary master of magic tools! It was been entrusted to this school since its founding. Taking into consideration its historical value, it would cost no less then a billion madol. Can you pay for those damages?"
"Holy sh#t! That much?!" I shouted in disbelief.
"No...a-a billion madol?!" Deuce stuttered.
"But sensei! Can't you just fix it right up with magic?" Ace requested.
"I don't think magic would fix everything Ace!" I point out.
"Gloriane is right. Magic is not all powerful." Crowley agreed.
"More importantly, what we call the heart of any magic tool, the magic crystal was shattered. No two magic crystals are the same. This chandelier will never be lit again." He close his eyes in disappointment.
I glance at the damaged chandelier with a sad look.
That chandelier sounds really special isn't it?
I thought curiously. Ace and Deuce were also feeling let down.
"No way..." Ace uttered.
"Damn...how am I...how am I going to tell my mom?" Deuce muttered.
"...Well. There IS one way. There may be a way to fix the chandelier."
All of us soon perked up when he mentioned that. Maybe now's our chance to fix the damage!
"The magic crystal for the chandelier was minded in the Dwarf's Mine. If we have a magic crystal of the same kind as the original, repairs may be possible!" The headmaster suggested.
"I'll go find that magic crystal! Please allow me to go!" Deuce stepped up.
"However, I have no guarantee that there are any left in the mine. It's been closed for a while and it's very possible it's emptied of crystals." Crowley informed.
"I'll do anything to get the expulsion rescinded." Deuce insisted.
"...Very well. You're given one night. Come to me with a magic Crystal by tomorrow morning, or face your expulsion." He sternly informed.
"Okay! Thank you, sir!" Deuce nodded firmly.
"Ehhhh, I suppose. Let's go get that magic crystal and be done with it." Ace shrugged.
"Use the gate in the Mirror Chamber to travel directly to the Dwarf's Mine." Crowley instructed.
"Got it!" The two ran off. Just as I was about to follow them, I noticed Grim still wobbling and dizzy out of his mind.
"Ugh...what now? What exactly did I....?" I stared down at him with dead serious glare that is ready to shave his fur off.
"You're lucky that I haven't shave your whole fur off." I growled, grabbing him and bolting after the others.
Goddamn it, this is not how my day was supposed to be. I'll deal with him later. For now, we've got a mission to complete!

"Ahh, why did it turn into something like this? Today's really not my day..." Ace whined.
"Now's not the time for complaining! Let's go!" Deuce said. "Mirror, mirror on the wall! Light out way to the Dwarf's Mine."
With a flash of light, Ace, Deuce, Gloriane, and Grim were taken to the mine.
