Mother Gothel

It's been two hours since we were told to come to the principal's office. Neither of us hasn't said a word since as I can hear the clock ticking on the wall. While I sat there with my hand on my temple thinking about what I did.

Damnit. This isn't how my day was supposed to start and what did I do in school? Kicking my cheater of an ex-boyfriend in the middle of the f*#king hallway.

While sitting in the office, I could feel Marc's gaze lingering towards me, but I didn't bother staring back at him and ignore him cuz I'm so pissed. Soon I heard principal Tremblay sighed and shifts his serious hazel orbs at us.

"I've been working as a principal for many years and this is by far one of my worst but peculiar troubles that I've ever seen. I've always known you as the good girl in school Gloriane, but I didn't expect you to assault a student like that. Could you explain why?" He asked as I glance down feeling awkward about telling him that I kicked him in the balls because he was cheating on me and wants me back. Though I'm hurt that he cheated, I don't wanna push him off the bus and us in trouble so I let out a sigh and explain to him with lies.

"...We have our disagreements, sir." I lied to him. Tremblay creased his brows at me.

"What kind?" He inquired staring at me with a skeptical look. My lips formed a straight line while intertwining my hands together.

"... Marc and I were having a heated debate about cats and dogs," I informed him with a lie, but I can tell the principal isn't buying it but kept his cool the entire time.

"Is that so?" He assumed as Tremblay shifts his hazel eyes to Marc, who flinched and nodded.

"Y-Yes, we were debating about what animal is the cutest for the bet. I love dogs, she likes cats, so we fought, and...that's when she kicked me." He lied as he was playing along with my lies. Tremblay stared at us for a few minutes before leaning against his wheelchair and pushing his glasses up.

"You're saying that the reason why you kicked Steward in the balls was because of some trivial debate?" He asked in disbelief and we both nodded. Tremblay then sighed.

"Very well, Steward. You may now be dismissed." He permitted as he nods and gets up from his seat where he took one last glance at me before leaving. After he left, he spun back to me with a stern look.

Oh god.

I pondered while having a gut feeling about what he's going to say next.

"Gloriane, be honest with me. What's going on between you two?" He asked curiously which caught me off guard as I widened my eyes when he asked. Tremblay curled his brows at me skeptically.

"Well?" He inquired with his tone sounding dead serious as I left out a sigh and sulk my head.

"Fine..." I groaned and fold my arms where I start spilling the beans on everything that happened in the halls just now to the principal.

"So you kicked him in his private area because he was unfaithful to you last night?" He guessed.

"Yes I did, and I know I shouldn't do that, but I have my reasons to be angry," I assured and Tremblay hummed and nod his head.

"Well I understand what you're saying and I appreciate that you're being self-aware of your actions, but that doesn't mean I won't let you off the hook."

"I know, sir," I replied as he folds his arms to his chest.

"It's valid that you have a reason to get into a physical altercation with him, but that's not a smart move." He informed.

"As the school principal, it's my job to make this school a safe and functional environment for the students and teachers alike. I also want to make sure that students like you stay out of trouble." Tremblay explained.

"However, since this is the first time you've been in my office, I decided to put you in an in-school suspension tomorrow. Now I'm going to make a call to your parents about the whole ordeal that happened today. I hope you consider this experience, so you will never do this again in the future, understand?" He reminded me and I reluctantly sighed and nodded.

"Yes sir." I sighed reluctantly and he nods with a grin.

"Very good, you may now be dismissed." He reassured as I nodded at him.

"Thank you," I said and got up from my seat where I turned my heels and left his office. After I left, I spun around to my two best friends who are waiting for me next to his office the whole time.

"So how did it go?" Zara asked curiously making me groaned and crossed my arms

"He didn't buy it. He knew I was lying right away, so I told him the truth about what happened between me and Marc. Afterward, I got suspended for one day along with a strict warning not to cause trouble again." I told them.

"Ouch." Harriet winced.

"Yeah." I sighed.

"Hey it's okay Glory, it's only one day, right? I'm sure you're going to be fine tomorrow, but right now just focus on finishing up school alright?" Zara reassured and I grinned warmly.

"Thanks, Zara," I replied and she grinned back.

"Anytime," Zara stated.

"She's right, ya know." Harriet chimed as she wraps an arm around her shoulder.

"You'll be fine. Besides, Pfft, it was worth the show. That cheater deserves to have his balls kicked, right Zara?" Harriet asks curiously with a grin.

"I mean...he had it coming so I'm not surprised when he did that." Zara pointed out. Soon, something popped from the bespectacled pinkette.

"Oh! Glory." She chirped.

"Yeah?" I said looking at her curiously where I saw Zara rummaging through her pocket from her pink hoodie until she pulled something out of her pocket and handed me a gold bracelet that has a sun drop flower in the middle.

"Just to cheer you up, I got you a flower bracelet that I got from Dave and Busters. I wanted to get a Gidget plush doll, but I ended up getting this, so this is just my gift of saying everything is going to be fine." She reassured. Moved by her kindness and fascinated by the flower bracelet, I took the bracelet and put it on the left side of my wrist.

"Thanks, Zara, this is the best!" I chirped and Zara nod with a grin.

"No problem." She replied.

"Yeah, just chill man. You're not dating Marc anymore and he can go suck a dick for all I care about. You're a strong, kind, smart, and independent girl Cinderella. Don't cry over a man, be positive, be strong, and keep doing you." Harriet reassures and I smiled and nod.

"Thanks, guys." She grinned.

"Hey, that's what friends for," Zara said.

"Yup. Oh shit! Come on guys, we're gonna be late for history class!" Harriet shouted as we both nod and hurried to our first class.

Five hours have passed and things are going a bit smooth despite the ex incident that happened just now. As I was focusing on finishing up my classwork before the school's over for graduation, I spend most of my time hanging out with Zara and Harriet in the cafeteria while ignoring Marc throughout the day.

After school ended, my friends and I depart and head straight home. Though I was nervous about walking back to school since I'm going to have a serious talk with my parents, I have to anyway so I just went for it. While strolling home, I took a few pictures of rose bushes and cherry blossoms that are nearby a small town. Once I arrived home and finished taking photos, I drop my bag down and head to the kitchen to greet my mom and dad.

"Hi mom, hi dad." I greeted them.

"Hey baby cake, we need to talk." My dad informed and I sighed.

"I know, it's about the incident," I mumbled.

"Yes, now come sit with us." My mom beckoned as I nod my head at her and strolled to the table and sat across from them.

"Now Gloriane, we know how angry you are with Marc on whatever you guys talked about and we get how expressive you are, but that does not make it okay for you to kicked him like that." She explained.

"And just to clarify, that guy deserves it in my book." My dad whispered making my mom heard everything from him and glare at him.

"Brent." She growled lowly while glaring at him making him flinched and sweatdropped at his wife's death glare before clearing his throat.

"Besides that, you got in-school suspension from the principal and thankfully the fight wasn't brutal. If it was, then you would've been expelled." He assured.

"I know dad, I know...." I nodded while staring down, but I felt my mom's hand on my shoulder.

"Hey don't worry, it's only for one day. Just don't do that again. For now, just stay home and relax okay?" She reassured and I smiled and nodded.

"Thanks, mom, you too dad." I grinned as I got out of my seat and went upstairs to my room where I look at the pictures of the rose bushes and cherry blossoms that I took from my phone while the song "I've Got This" by Mandy Moore from my favorite tv show Tangled: The Series is played through the stereo once more in my room.

I smile throughout the time while staring at the photos from my phone. I glance at the clock to see it's 5:49 pm and I shrugged my shoulders.

"Eh I still have time, I'll just take a nap for a while before dinner starts," I told myself as I put my phone on the end table and I lay down on my bed where I fell into a deep slumber. While sleeping in peace, I squint my eyes tight when I felt a light beaming at my face when I groan and open my eyes.

"Jesus who-"

I soon widen my eyes when I realized I'm in the same castle from the last dream.

"Rapunzel!" Suddenly I heard a cry from outside.

"She's back!" Then I heard a gasp when I saw Rapunzel scurrying through the halls carrying her long blonde hair and opens the window.

"One moment mother!" She said as hangs her hair to the hook and lets her hair down to the ground. Curious, I stood up and walked up to Rapunzel to take a good look and to my dismay, Mother Gothel appears.

"I have a big surprise!" The dark-haired crone chirped with a smile.

"Uhh, I do too." Rapunzel assured her while pulling her "mother" up.

"Oh but I bet my surprise is bigger!" Gothel insisted but her smile is off where I can tell by her tone is fake.

"I seriously doubt it." The blonde princess murmured.

"Same here Rapunzel, same here," I mumbled. As I watched Rapunzel pulled Gothel to the tower, Gothel flashes her "daughter" with a "bright" grin.

"I brought back parsnips, I'm going to make hazelnut soup for dinner. Your favorite, surprise!" She exclaimed as I rolled my eyes at her "angelic" phase.

"Well mother, there's something I want to tell you-"

"Oh Rapunzel, you know I hate leaving you after a fight especially when I done absolutely nothing wrong." She half-heartedly admitted.

Oh really now?

I sarcastically thought while staring at her with a blank expression.

"Okay, I've been thinking a lot about what you said earlier-"

"I hope you're not still talking about the stars."

"Floating light and yes, I'm meeting up to that-"

"Because I appreciate it if you dropped the issue sweetheart." She reassured her.

"No mother, I'm just saying you think I'm not strong enough to handle myself out there." Rapunzel insisted.

"Oh darling, I know you're not strong enough to handle yourself out there." Gothel coldly reassured looking at her with dead serious grey eyes.

"But if you just-"

"Rapunzel, we're done talking about this." She reminded her with her irritation slowly growing from her face.

"Trust me-"

"Rapunzel."

"I know what I-"

"Rapunzel."

"Oh come on-"

"ENOUGH WITH THE LIGHTS RAPUNZEL! YOU ARE NOT LEAVING THIS TOWN EVER!!!!" Gothel bellowed making Rapunzel shocked and saddened. As for me, I was clenching my fists while glaring at the old hag. I mean come on, who would say something to their child like that? (Even though she wasn't her child because she kidnapped her from a ROYAL FAMILY!)

Soon I watched Gothel fell into the chair feigning guilt and despair.

"Great, now I'm the bad guy." She pouted as she lays her hand on her forehead.

"Oh, ya think, motherf@#ker?" I sarcastically remarked while scowling at her. Then I spun to see Rapunzel looking guilty as I watched her staring at the painting of the stars that she was talking about at the beginning of the movie. She looked saddened yet she closed her eyes.

"I'll be gonna say mother is that I know what I want for my birthday now." She assured her while looking at her "mother".

"And what is that?" She grumbled looking agitated.

"New paint? The paint from the white shells you once brought me." She told her.

"Well, that is a very long trip Rapunzel, almost three days," Gothel said.

"I just thought it was a better idea than stars." She kindly reassured me. Gothel stared at her for a bit before letting out a sigh. She then stands up from the chair and approached Rapunzel.

"You sure you'll be alright on your own?" She asked with concern. Rapunzel then embraced mother Gothel.

"I know I'm safe as long as I'm here." She reassured her as Gothel smiled and kissed the head of her blonde locks.

"I'll be back in three days, I love you very much, dear," Gothel informed her.

"I love you more," Rapunzel said.

"I love you most," Gothel reassured as both of them waved goodbye. As soon as Gothel left, Rapunzel's face turns from a smile to a determined expression where she ran off with her hair pulled back in.

After watching the whole scene, my heart dropped when I watched Gothel mentally abuse Rapunzel-like. Poor girl, I feel bad for her. Suddenly everything went dark as I soon heard whispers out of nowhere.

Flower...Flower.....

"Wha-What?" I stuttered as I shivered when I heard that same ominous voice again where I glance left to right feeling scared at the moment.

Where are you my Flower?

The voice asked making me feel more uncomfortable to the point where I am becoming more irritated with the whole ominous suspense crap.

"Okay stop screwing around Gothel! I know it's you, so face me!" I seethed, but I soon regret what I said as I felt someone grabbing my shoulder. I slowly spun around to see an old and terrifying version of Gothel roaring at me with a horrifying scream. I flinched and quickly punched her across the face making her disappear in the dust. I panted heavily while shivering from the ambush.

You won't escape.....

"What in the-"

"I won't...LET YOU ESCAPE!"

Suddenly an ugly and grotesque giant version of Gothel erupted from the ground with gray hair, pointed nose, sharp nails, sharp grey eyes, and pale skin while donning her signature red Victorian dress.

"Raaaaahhh I won't let you escape from me!!!" She shrilled as she roared on top of her lungs revealing her terrifying sharp teeth.

"Holy cow!" I shouted as I turn around and fled from the grotesque giant where I can feel her presence where she chases after me.

"GET BACK HERE! I WILL NOT LET YOU LEAVE THIS TOWER!!!!!" She roared but I didn't listen and kept on running as fast as I can while trying to figure a way to escape from the hideous giant crone.

"Jesus Christ, where is the exit in this damn place when you need it?!" I shouted while fleeing for my f#*king life until a dead end appeared before me.

"Shit!" Glory curses before she turns around to see the dreaded Gothel strike her.

~~~~~~
"Aaah!" Glory gasps as she pans heavily from the nightmare before letting out a soft sigh.
"Damn...that was a horrible dream." She mutters. Suddenly...
Ahh...My dear beloved...
"Huh?"
I became lost yet afraid when I heard the ominous voice until I heard it again.
A lovely and noble flower of evil...
It said it again making me freaked out even more.
Okay. What the hell was that!?
I thought while panicking on the inside as I heard the same voice all over again.
Truly, you are the most beautiful of all...
It chanted. I stood there slightly shuddering from the ominous voice.
"What the hell...?" I muttered as I heard its voice again.
Mirror, mirror on the wall...Who is the brightest and enchanted of them all?
It chanted while I sat there puzzled until I took a glance at the mirror to the right when the mirror starts wiggle that caught me off guard.
"Whoa! What the f#ck-?!" I cursed with a shocked look.
Those who are guided by the mirror of darkness as long as your heart desires...
The voice is tempted while the mirror wiggles eerily. With my curiosity peeking through, I lifted the blanket off of me and slowly crept through the room to the suddenly magical mirror. Soon a hand emerges from the reflection extending itself to me.
"A...Hand?" I muttered with a puzzled look.
...Take the hand that appears in the mirror.
It consoled, but I felt a gut feeling inside of me so I slowly backed away. Suddenly a hand appeared out of nowhere grabbing me by the wrist.
"What the?!" I yelps as grab my other to have it unreleased my hand, but it was too strong for me to break off as it drags me closer to the mirror and soon I was dragged down to the mirror. And before you know it, I find myself screaming while falling into a deep dark hole of uncertainty with an ominous voice booming through the dark portal.
For me...
For the...
For you...
We are all running out of time...
No matter what, never let go of my hand...
