It was a typical day for Savanaclaw's lazy dorm head as he is lying his bed snoring away until his nose scrunches and furrows his brows.

Oh f@$k no.

He thought as Leona slowly got up from his bed and marches right out of his room. As he storms through the stairs, the lion prowls to the kitchen until he saw Ruggie scrambling veggies on the stove. Soon a groan erupts from the lion as he leans the doorway and folds his arms.

"If you're serving me that foul trash for tonight's dinner, I'll skip it." He bluntly spat with a frown. The hyena furrows his brows at the rude lion.

"It's not for you." He curtly told him rolling his eyes as Ruggie turns off the stove.

"And we're having steak for dinner tonight." He corrects him as he grabs the pan and scraps the beef veggies off with a wooden spoon.

"Still trash." Leona snarks rolling his eyes.

"You say that cuz you don't like veggies." Ruggie snaps back as he scraps to the bowl and strolls to the cabinet. Leona stares down as he darts his eyes at a container filled with greens, grilled meat, and a chocolate glazed donut. Then crease his brows as soon as he shifts his gaze at a small book that says "The Goodful Cookbook".

"You got a cookbook?" He asks curiously that made the little hyena froze and averts his eyes with his ears droop down timidly.

"Yeah...Kitten gave me to me from Christmas." Ruggie mumbles while rummaging through the cabinet.

"That's it?" He hums looking indifferent, but has a hint of venom from his tone. The hyena could hear his venomous tone, but pretends not to hear it as he shrugs his shoulders.

"Yeah, but...I don't mind it." Ruggie said as he grabs the lid and closes the cabinet before walking back to the counter.

"Sides, it'll be useful for me to used when I cook for my family." Ruggie said as he placed the lid on the container and turns his head to Leona.

"So what about you? How's your break?" He asks curiously as Leona averts his eyes with his brows still furrowed.

"It's...okay." He mutters while averting his eyes.

"Lioness gave me gifts for me and that lil furball." He informs him.

"Oh..." Ruggie utters averting his eyes as well with his ears droop down and his brows furrowed as he kneels down and opens the lower cabinet, rummaging his hand through it until he grabs a paper bag and shuts the door. Then he stands up while glancing down at counter.

"...What did she gave you?" He asks a bit awkwardly as he opens the paper bag as Ruggie placed two containers in the bag while staring down.

Leona shrugs his shoulders sluggishly.

"Just crown necklace and Cheka got a stuffed lion." He told him.

"Aah...ok." Ruggie replied while furrowing his brows together as he crumples the bag slightly.

"So this junk is what you're eating for lunch?" Leona asks in a grumpy tone making the hyena frown with annoyance.

"Did you not see two bags? I'm planning on giving it to Kitten." Ruggie snarks with the lion huffs.

"Is that right?" He sarcastically grumbles.

"What does it matter?" He quips back looking annoyed as the lion whips his head.

"Nothing." He lied acting like a tsundere. Ruggie stares at him with a frown.

"You know, I can't help but notice your face whenever Kitten is mentioned. Which isn't something that the Leona that I know never did." He directly pointed out, but the lion scoffs at this.

"I don't want to hear someone who makes lunch for the only girl in school." Leona rebuffs. The hyena scoffs and glance at the lion with a glare.

"Like you can do better?" He fires back as Ruggie folds his arms glaring up at the lion. Leona huffs and whips his head away from him.

"Not saying I want to." Leona denies acting like he doesn't care, but the hyena isn't buying it as Ruggie erupts a huff.

"Right. Sure thing." Ruggie sarcastically replies as the hyena walks up to the grumpy lion.

"You remember that question that I asked outside the Mostro lounge before Azul's overblot, right? Fess up, you love her." He directly pointed out. Leona isn't unfazed as he kept his glare and folds his arms.

"Do you?" He asks while glaring down as Ruggie squints his eyes and clenched his fists, staring down at the floor with a slight blush crept from his cheeks. Soon he looks back at his moments with Glory.

His eyes glimmer while reminiscing her gentle smile, warmth, and kindness that she shines on to his life, yet he felt a sting into his chest as he thought about his poor background silently standing there.

"...I'm not rich like Kalim, suave like Azul, popular like Vil, nor a royal prince like you are, but..."

Soon, Ruggie lifts his head up to Leona with a glare.

"I could still have a chance with her, and I'm not going let anyone get in the way; including you and Jack." Ruggie proclaims making Leona huff at his declare.

"You're really persistent." He snorts and the hyena just shrugs his shoulders.

"Maybe, but I do know that I won't lose." Ruggie pointed out.

"That's a bold answer coming from a hyena." Leona spat.

"Leona-san, just admit you like her." He bluntly retorts getting straight to the point.

"And you think a girl would go out with a poor lil runt from the slums?" Leona spat glaring at him. Ruggie clicks his tongue.

"You don't know what it's like growing up in a bad environment like this! Kitten is the only girl who gets me! She doesn't know my background, but...she's not a bad person that everyone else deemed!" Ruggie yelps as he balls his fists.

"Kitten may have some flaws, but she's also a kind, vibrant, and caring girl, who is willing to help others and stands her ground to anyone who tries to bring her down. An arrogant prick like you would never understand!" Ruggie snaps glaring at him. This ticks the lion off as he scoffs and cross his arms.

"An arrogant prick, huh? So that's how it's going to be?" Leona curtly asks. Ruggie creases his brows.

"So you're admitting it?" Ruggie fires back. Leona froze, feeling his pride fading off as scrunch his brows and clench his fists. Before he could fire back at Ruggie, footsteps clobbering through the halls as both of them spun their heads to see Jack sauntering in the kitchen. Soon he leans on to the doorway, panting heavily and glance at the black watch.

"Seems like a good track..." He sighs as the wolf turns around and widen his eyes to see Leona.

"Leona-?!" Jack stood there froze with shock as the lion tsks and storms off leaving the wolf puzzled, but soon sniffs the air and picks up the scent.

"You guys have been fighting?" He asks curiously.

"So what if did?" Ruggie curtly retorts as he grabs the pan and spoon to place it in the sink.

"So how's your new gift?" Ruggie grumbles. Jack's ears slightly sprung up before drooping down and turning his head while stroking the back of his head.

"...It's good. The fitness watch is a reliable gift for me...it's nice of her to give me this." He timidly said with a light blush flares from his cheeks. The hyena forms a slight smile with his ears curled up.

"Good for you." He sarcastically snarks while scrubbing the pan and spoon with soap.

"You don't sound too happy about it." Jack stated sensing his foul mood from his wolf senses.

"Oh really? Ya don't say?" He coldly spat. The wolf widen his eyes a little before frowning.

"Well yeah...Isn't obvious?" Jack asks.

"I don't know is it?" Ruggie snarks while scrubbing dishes.

"You're sound like it. You get grouchy when I mentioned the gift and Wildcat this morning and you're doing it again today." He pointed out. Soon, Ruggie slams the dishes and whips his head to the wolf with an irritable glare.

"How about you just leave me alone for once?!" Ruggie snapped shocking Jack before realizing what he just said and blushed before whipping back to the sink. Bewildered, Jack furrows his brows at him.

"Alright...fine. Sorry for asking." He mumbled as he strolls off the kitchen leaving the flustered hyena alone. Once he left, the hyena paused and stayed silent to let out a sigh.

I guess I won't be holding back...

He thought as Ruggie darts his eyes at the doorway.

Sorry Leona...Jack, but I can't let you take her. Cuz I'll be the one who will take her.

He declares mentally with grayish blue orbs engulf with determination.

Meanwhile at the hallway, Jack was strolling his way while thoughts Ruggie came to his mind.

How about you just leave me alone for once?!

As he looks back on his second confrontation, an image of Glory flashed before his eyes before he lightly shakes his head and glance down at the fitness watch on his wrist. Soon, he glimpse back to the letter that he received from the ravenette.

I hope you enjoy your gift. It'll be useful for your workout sessions or track and field.

A blush flares from his cheeks while looking back, Jack glance back at the halls with eyes glimmer with love.

Sorry Ruggie-senpai and Leona-senpai, but...I am going to do whatever it takes to protect Wildcat!

Jack mentally proclaims as he strolls his way back to his room.

Elsewhere, Leona is lying on his bed napping until an image of Glory flashed before his eyes where he remembers her comforting words beneath the tree.

You'll always be the thoughtful and formidable king in my eyes...

Soon he clicks his tongue and ruffles his hair.

"Sh#t!" He curses until Leona glance at the golden crown necklace on the end table as he looks back at the letter the read from break.

This necklace reminds me of you. You may have endure obstacles your life, but you'll always be victorious cuz you're a king. A smart, strong, and formidable king that I know. I know you're having a rough time with your family, but I hope this gift will lighten you up. Tell Cheka that I said "hi".

While reminiscing the letter, Leona stares at the crown necklace for a minute before burying his head to the pillow as he elicits a muffled sigh.

How could I ended up meeting a girl like you, Lioness?...

He thought as Leona grips the fabric of the bed covers with his green orbs gleam with love.

I guess this is what life is like, but...

Soon his face sours up as he furrows his brows.

Ruggie is definitely crushing on her and Jack probably has feelings for her too...

Leona ponders before slamming his head against the pillow and groans underneath it.

"This is gonna be a pain...."

He muffled feeling like crap already. With tension rising from the three savanaclaw boys, things are about to get worst from here on then.
