Meanwhile at the hall, Kalim was roaming through the halls with Jade just like how he wanted. 

"I'm so sorry, Kalim. I didn't think you'd already be going to bed. We could save this for tomorrow. It was selfish of me to get up to see the treasure vault again..." Jade apologizes feigning guilt, but Kalim shook his head firmly.

"No worries, no worries. I don't mind at all! What did you wanna see?" Kalim ask curiously.

"I'm very curious about the tapestries and carpets you had stored at the back. We don't have any textiles quite like those in the ocean. So I'm interested in learning more about the culture of the Land of Hot Sands. A dry world covered in sand is the exact opposite of the bottom of the sea." Jade informs with a smile.

"Aah! I think I have a carpet that would suit the colors in Octavinelle. It's going to waste in the storage room. You want it?" Kalim ask surprising the eel.

"Would that be alright?!" Jade shrieks.

"Of course! We're here." Kalim chirps as he and Jade made it to the vault and the peppy dorm head opens the door to reveal the shining light of riches, gold, and other finer expensive things.

"Aaah...it's beautiful. Being able to see it up close like this is wonderful." Jade praises and turns his attention to the peacock colored silk as he picks it up.

"Kalim, what is this peacock green material? It's striking." He compliments while holding on to the silk.

"That's woven from silk. A really long time ago the law that only royalty could marry royalty was amended and a certain princess who married a peasant from the slums wore that color. That's the color that's really popular with men and women." Kalim explains impressing the mature eel.

"How wonderful. The little mermaid, captivated by the human world, would be absolutely fascinated by all of this. Though the security must be difficult to manage." Jade points out laying his chin under his hand with a curious look.

"Jamil takes care of that. He even airs out all the carpets and scrolls." Kalim reassures.

"What a skilled aide you have, he's even earned Azul's praises." Jade compliments as Kalim lets out a chuckle.

"I know right? He's so amazing. He also spends his time helping me with magic and school. The way he teaches is better than any of my tutors. Oh yeah, he's a really good dancer too! He doesn't really dance with others around though..." Kalim explains. Baffled, Jade folds his arms staring at the dorm head with a look of confusion in his eyes.

"You have such a high opinion of him so I wonder why he hasn't mentioned anything to you?" Jade ask curiously.
"Eh?" Kalim looked baffled when he asked this.

"Forcing your residents to give up their vacation to stay here and endure strict training everyday. That's something I really can't picture you doing." Jade assumes. Kalim curls his brows and folds his arms.

"Umm...You know...It's because we need it, I guess?" Kalim replies with a confused tone.

"Wasn't it your decision? Why does that sound like a question?" Jade ask curiously.

"Yeah, you're right. That was supposed to be my decision but..." Kalim clench his arms and squints his eyes.

"I've been spacing out a lot recently..." Kalim said.

"And why is that?" Jade ask curiously.

"Jamil said it's probably exhaustion from being a dorm head as a sophomore." Kalim told him puzzling the eel.

"Hoh?" Jade became baffled when he said this to him.

"I've always had a bad habit of falling asleep during hard conversations. My tutors, and Jamil, used to get really pissed when I did that." Kalim informs.

"What was it about?" Jade ask curiously.

"About taking responsibility...and figuring out how to come back from our Magift loss and final exam score. There was so much to think about that I just drifted off. Haha...I'm a useless dorm head." Kalim chuckles awkwardly while stroking the back of his head.

"Was this winter vacation training camp not your idea?" Jade ask again. Kalim scratches his head with his finger looking puzzled.

"Yeah it was...I think." He replies looking unsure.

"That is not the answer that inspires confidence. Ffhm..."

Looks like I'll have to use my secret technique after all, even if the chances of success aren't high...

Jade thought and squints his eyes.

"Aah! Ow!" Jade feigns pain from his eyes which caught the attention of Kalim.

"Hm? What's wrong?" He ask curiously as Jade covers his left eye with his hand.

"I'm sorry, but it seems I've gotten something in my eye...Could you please take a look?" Jade kindly ask as Kalim saunters over to the eel.

"Sure. Bend down for second, which eye?" He ask curiously.

"My left." Jade told him as he opens both of this heterochromatic eyes with a deceptive smile.

"Look at my left eye...Yes..."There's no need to be afraid, I'm here to help you" Shock the Heart." Jade chants as an aura emits from his left hypnotizing Kalim completely.

"Eh?" Once he's under his spell, Jade outs his arms behind his back.

"You must answer my next question honestly. Do you..."

Meanwhile at the lounge, everyone is having a blast with the Arabic board game and so far Floyd is a champion three times.

"Hooray~~~ I win! That makes it my third!" Floyd chirps with a bright grin.

"Dog gone it! Not again!" Eugene rants.

"You made a good opponent when you can actually focus." Jamil compliments with a small smile.

"Well I do have fun playing this game." Glory admits with a small smile.

"Yeah, at least we get to learn from the game." Rapunzel agrees.

"I'll have to admit, that was a pretty cool game you got there, Jamil." Cassandra compliments and Jamil nods at themselves it's a small smile.

"Thank you for joining our game. I haven't played this game for a while, but I'm pleased to hear that you and the others enjoyed the game." Jamil said with Glory smiling warmly at him.

"Why thank you, Jamil. It was quite a fun experience." Glory praises him.

"Ffgya! I lost again! You don't hold back do you?" Grim whines.

"This makes 5 wins and 0 losses for me but as a member of the board game club I have a reputation to uphold. Your ratio was 3 losses to 2 wins, yes?" Azul ask curiously turning to Jamil with a smile.

"Hm? ...It's been a while so I guess I'm rusty. Kalim used to make me play with him for hours on end until he finally won. Even though I'm not very good." Jamil informs him.

"I see. Ffmm. So that's it?" Azul guesses.

"You see? You're a weird guy." Jamil flatly remarks.

"Oh no, I'm just talking to myself. You and Kalim grew up together, is that correct?" Azul assumes.

"Yeah, as long as I can remembered. That's right, aren't the three of you childhood friends too?" Jamil ask curiously.

"Seems that way~." Floyd sang in response baffling Glory and her friends.

"Seems that way?" Rapunzel asks curling her brows.

"That's an odd way to put it, y'know." Grim points out.

"Agreed. Don't you remembered the times you'd spend together as children?" Glory ask curiously.

"Apparently we've been in the same class since elementary school but the first time I noticed him was right before middle school. So, like, we don't really have any "childhood friend" memories." Floyd explains with a nonchalant smile.

"You didn't notice your classmate until graduation, wow..." Cassandra sarcastically replies.

"Yup. You guys are really fickle guys." Eugene flatly remarks and Azul smiled politely at them.

"I was calm and respectable student so I didn't really stand out." Azul explains.

"Yeah, you probably stood out for a different reason, like how wide-! Mmmmhhhgggg!" Grim was soon cut off by Azul and Glory when both of them placed their hands on his mouth.

"Grim, can it will you?" Glory whispers with a frown.

"Exactly. I told you time and time again to keep that to yourself...!" Azul grumbles with a glare.

"And now you're the dorm head? You guys have a strange relationship." Jamil stated.

"I'll say." Eugene agrees.

"You've got the words come out of my mouth." Cassandra chimes.

"Hehehe..." Rapunzel chuckles awkwardly.

"Really? I only listen to what Azul said 'cause it's so much fun." Floyd perkily informs.

"So you guys only hung out with Azul for entertainment?" Glory ask curiously curling her brows.

"Yup!" Floyd chirps with a childish smile.

"Neither Jade or Floyd have any intention of being obedient to me. It's more like we're "playing the part"." Azul explains.

"Playing parts of master and servant? I don't really get that." Jamil said folding his arms with a confused look. Azul then adjust his glasses up to the bridge of the nose.

"If the day ever comes that I make a mistake as leader or chose the "boring" option. Then the two of them would turn on me to take their sear of dorm head for themselves. Although, I have no intention of losing if that time comes." Azul informs with a cocky grin.

"I'm not gonna challenge you, for now. Ah Hah." Floyd chuckles with a wide grin.

"Besides, I have Lionfish to play around with since she's so cute and fun to hang out with." Floyd chirps as he swung his arm around her shoulder making her letting out a soft chuckle with a smile and pinched his left cheek.

"I maybe "cute", but I can assure you that I DO bite if he does anything funny to me.~" Glory purrs with a deadly smile as she releases his cheek where Floyd rubs his left cheek where it hurts.

"Owie...You're so mean Lionfish. You know I won't bite." He mumbles while rubbing his cheek, but Glort remains unfazed as rolls her eyes at the perky eel.

"Right..." Glory sarcastically retorts.

"So you're all on equal terms." Jamil guesses.

"We stay together 'cause it's fun and if it gets boring, then, bye-bye. Besides, vice dorm head ain't a retainer. This is normal." Floyd explains.

They Rapunzel gang thought.

"It's normal, huh. I've been a servant of the Asim family since I was born so that's just something I can't wrap my mind around. The master is a master and the servant is the servant until death." Jamil explains. Both Azul and Glory tilt their heads curiously when he said this.

Azul ponders. Suddenly they heard footsteps in the lounge.

"Oh, what's up guys. You're still up?" Kalim ask with a smile shocking Jamil.

"Hm? Oh, mancala! I haven't played that in forever, but Jamil and I used to go at it for hours." Kalim said remembering fondly at the memories.

"Weren't you already asleep? Why...Aren't I always telling you not to wander around on your own? What of you get kidnapped again?...." Jamil scolds at him.

"You're such a worrywart. I'm fine, Jade was with me." Kalim told him puzzling the vice dorm.

"Huh? Jade?" Jamil ask looking puzzled until Jade appeared behind him.

"Yes, I was with him the whole time." Jade informs him shocking Jamil right away. Glory then smiled innocently at Jade.

"Hello Jade, Kalim. How were things going tonight?" Glory ask curiously with an innocent grin.

"Wonderful Angelfish. Kalim is a truly kind person. He took the time to explain so much for me." Jade coolly explains. Baffled yet irked, Jamil stared at Jade as he clench his fists.

"...The hell did you do to him?" Jamil ask curiously with an irked look as the eel smiled slyly revealing his sharp teeth.

"What...did I do? Why all we did was enjoy a nice long talk. Right, Kalim?" Jade ask shifting his eyes to Kalim as he smiled warmly.

"Yup. I was showing him around the treasure vault." Kalim told him. Completely irritated, Jamil stared at them with eyes gleam with frustration.

"Oh yeah, Jamil. Do you know what happened to that blue and silver carpet? I know we brought one with us but I couldn't find it just now." Kalim informs, but Jamil didn't reply to his question and said this.

"Let's go, Kalim." Jamil ushers confusing Kalim.

"Eh? What's wrong?" He ask, but he didn't answer his question once again as he approaches the dorm head with a glare and yanks his ear.

"Just go back to your room!" He demands.

"Waah!? Fine, I get it, you don't have to yank on me! Sorry, Jade. I'll find it for you later!" Kalim apologizes as he was dragged out of the lounge by an irritated Jamil walking passed the eerily smiling Jade.

"Alright. Until we meet again. Fufufu." Jade chuckles slyly. Soon her eyes glow black where three blobs of black ooze drip more on to his heart almost completing the heart. Suddenly, she reverts back to reality and lets out a gasp.

"Something wrong?" Cassandra ask curiously.

"Eh? What's going on?" Floyd ask with a confused look.

"It's almost time...He'll overblot soon!" Glory told them shocking everyone in the room.

"Over what?" Eugene ask curiously.

"She means Jamil is going to be corrupted with magic if we don't stop him!" Grim chides.

"Agreed. For now, we all have to return to our rooms immediately." Azul informs.

"Right!" They all complied.

"Tsk tsk. This bad...I must hurry!" He shouts as the tint wizard floats his way through the watery tunnel back to Twisted Wonderland.

Meanwhile at the empty room, Glory and her group are discussing about their plan.

"Thank you for your hard work, Jade. Did you have a good 'talk' with Kalim?" Azul ask curiously.

"Yes, and Vivien, Glory, and your hunch is correct. It's highly likely that Kalim is being brainwashed and by Jamil's magic." Jade informs.

"I TOLD YOU!" Grim shrieks.

"So what did you do to convinced Kalim?" Rapunzel asks curiously.

"Twin eel child was using his unique magic on Kalim so he could know why is he brainwashed by Jamil." Vivien explains.

"Yes, but this is different from Ruggie's and seems to be more along the lines of hypnotism. However, it is a much higher level technique that requires a lot of magic to use so. There are exceedingly few wizards that can use it." Jade explains.

"Is it really that powerful?" Rapunzel ask curiously.

"You gotta be on Azul's level or it's not happening." Floyd stated.

"I would probably even find it difficult to control sentient creatures like humans." Azul points out.

"I don't think there's anyone as good as Azul in Scarabia." Grim explains.

"He's right. Kalim can only create water with his unique magic and Jamil said he only ever hits the average in terms of grades." Cassandra said.

"I wonder about that. They say a smart car hides its claws." Azul implies.

"So by what is Baby Otter being brainwashed exactly?" Floyd asks curiously.

"He was unable to received an answer." Vivien told him shocking the group.

"What?!" Rapunzel, Eugene, and Cassandra shrieked. Glory curls his brows at him.

"It's probably not a terrible thing if it's disclosed to the prefect's team. Unlike Glofish who has powers of the sundrop flower and the moonstone opal, the three have no magic except they have extraordinary skills both women are once users from two powerful gems." Azul informs.

"You're making fun of them now, aren't you?" Grim ask with a skeptical look.

"Was that's supposed to be a compliment?" Cassandra asks curiously with a tick mark throbbing from her head.

"But also a valuable asset." Cassandra points out with Owl hoot in agreement.

"Quite a cruel ability to used but at the same time reliable." Glory compliments.

"Your smile terrifies me..." Grim shudders.

"He scared us all...." Eugene whispers to Grim.

"Moray eels are well known to be vicious sea creatures in the ocean. Of course they're terrifying." Vivien explains to them calmly.

"True." Cassandra agrees and Owl hoots to reply.

"More importantly, Glo. What's an overblot?" Cassandra asks curiously whipping her head to Glory.

"It's when a person gets overwhelmed with negative energy based on the emotions that they're feeling. Affected by negative emotions within the magic, they'll overblot and if not stopped, they'll ceased to be." Glory explains.

"Oh my goodness." Rapunzel gasps covering her mouth with a shock look along with Pascal who drops his jaw to her shoulder.

"Holy cow..." Eugene utters with a stunned look.

"Yeah and it happened three times already." Glory told them.

"How did you get them back to normal?" Rapunzel ask curiously making Glory's face flushed and cue the snickers from the Leech twins and a chortle from the lake goddess where Rapunzel and her friends whip their heads at Vivien.

"Why of course I do. It's Moonchild's unique magic. A very intriguing one." She implies.

"And very hot." Floyd teases as the three chuckled softly with Azul turning beet red when he remembered the incident back in Octavinelle last weekend. Rapunzel, Eugene, and Cassandra blink their eyes twice with puzzled looks.

It's a combination of Mental Healing and the Healing Incantation where I have to kiss them on the lips before I perform the incantation spell." "YOU KISSED THEM ON THE LIPS TO BRING THEM BACK TO NORMAL?!" Cassandra shrills.

"We're not joking." Grim blankly told them.

"So if Jamil overblots then that's mean-."

"Yup. I have to kiss him and perform the Healing incantation." Glory informs cutting Eugene off with a grimace look.

"We've done incantations a long time ago, but we've never seen a power like that before." Cassandra remarks.

"We've been there before and it's quite entertaining to watched." Vivien points out.

"...I see, understood." He replies and soon Kalim was revert back to his real self when the hypnosis wore off as he lays his hand on his temple and mumbles.

"...Hm? Huh? What happened?...." Kalim asks looking puzzled as Jade crept a polite smile.

"Thank you very much. Thanks to you, everything has become clear." Jade praises him acting innocent as if the unique magic never occurs.

"Oh, ooh? Alright, I don't really get it but if you're better than I'm happy!" Kalim chirps unaware of what just happened between them.

"Yes." Jade replies with a smile.

"So Kalim was told not to tell who the user of the hypnosis is even though it was Jamil." Glory points out.

"For sure." Cassandra bluntly points out.

"Hahahaha! Fascinating. So this means your unique magic was defeated by Kalim's humanity." Azul guesses. Jade fake smiles at him.

"It frustrates me to no end but, yes, that's correct." Jade replies to him.

"Welp that's a drag." Eugene dryly remarks.

"Talk about difficult." Cassandra comments.

"Kalim's too pure...." Rapunzel mutters.

"Indeed. Desert King is quite the pure angelic being but with a brain of a newborn baby bird who hatched from his egg for the first time ." Vivien points out.

"And Baby Otter seems like he's got a big mouth too." Floyd chimes.

"That shows just how much he treasures that promise." Jade said.

"He's really a genuine nice guy." Rapunzel said with a grin along with Pascal who bobs his head to agree with her. Azul then chuckles softly.

"Fufufufu....Although, that stubbornness may have gone and revealed the truth of everything happening in Scarabia. Let's bring this to an end and catch the tail hiding in the sand. I have a next plan, first...."

As Azul explains his next step to Glory and her group, their plans to stop Jamil begins....
