Chapter 1

Today Was An Ordinary Day Within The City Of Mathmateca.

The citizens were bustling to get to work, the large cross-section of Algehikibara was crowded with dogs, cats, bunnies, birds, and all animals, either alike or unique, every one of their fur colors a blinding white, walking with poise and posture.  They all wore black suits, ties, and work dresses, that heavily contoured with the pure white of their fur.  They all dropped their kids off at school, some of them young enough to go to kindergarten, others walking into an ordinary day of High School.

All things in Mathmateca are mainly focused on one thing: Math.  The city was located within the grand kingdom of Calcusopolis, after all.  The kingdom was known far and wide for their extreme and deeply understanding of mathematical concepts.  Jobs offered within the city of Mathemateca may be statistical (those of the Sigma-Sum and Upper-Chi Dynasties were especially gifted in statistics), theoretical (the Alpha-Conversusivity and Lesser-Theta Dynasties had a wider span of knowledge in theorems and formulas than any other dynasty), or may just use the ordinary brain-crunching of numbers (people of the Lesser-Phi and Pi-Diamcumference Dynasties excelled the best in these types of jobs.).  Kids and Teens that went to school studied math and math only, whether it was the kindergarteners, who were just learning how to write their numbers, or the high-schoolers, who were studying a focus topic in there Senior year in order to have credit to hopefully receive their dream job when they go out into the working world.

The people inside Calcusopolis were all highly diverse, except for two things.  One, every single citizen within this kingdom was part of a Dynasty.  Whether it was a Lesser, Upper, Or Renown Dynasty, every citizen treated their Dynasty like family, because that's literally what the Dynasties were.  Each Dynasty must consist of 6 or more people before being named.  Depending on what Greek Letter (Uppercase Or Lowercase) was embedded on their chest fur, their Dynasty was named after that.  Renown Dynasties, on the other hand, were only given a special name if their family or Dynasty sat on the throne of Calcusopolis before.  That leads us to the second thing that is the only thing that ties the citizens of this fair kingdom together.  They all must worship, praise, and respect the Four Almighty, the four rulers of the kingdom of Calcusopolis.  Many have taken the throne.  Many were successful rulers, and there was that handful that weren't so successful.  Nevertheless, whoever sat on that throne, the rest of the citizens had to pay the utmost respect to them.

The current Four Almighty were arranged very well, them being the 25th Century rulers for Calcusopolis fit all of their attitudes like a glove.  Well, most of them.

Alpha, the most powerful of the Four Almighties, is a strong, independent, female.  A Hybrid of a Japanese Wolf, a Scarlet Macaw, and a Unicorn, Alpha might be considered female, but don't let that throw you off track.  She rules with an iron fist, and isn't afraid to speak her mind.  Hailing from the globaly-known Alpha-QuadraIndependence Dynasty, she has the same strength and power as a regular male Alpha wolf in her Dynasty, and the same knowledge as one as well.  She even exceeds the knowledge of other members of her Dynasty.  She worked hard to get her degree in Alpha Calculus, and had some of the most strict professors in Calcusopolis College as well.  These professors helped shape her strong and prime personality, and is never seen without her guard down.  Her know-how of math and leadership-like personality is what got her the throne during the electoral votes, her placing first among her colleagues.

Beta, the second-most powerful of the Four Almighties, is a jolly, light-hearted, male.  A Hybrid of a Timber Wolf and a Diamond Dove, Beta is very friendly and loves to meet all of the citizens from far and wide.  He enjoys his time as one of the Almighties, trying to make the most of it, smelling the roses as he goes by.  Coming from the Beta-Thermogression Dynasty, he has the cheerfulness of a regular female wolf within his Dynasty.  Don't let this fool you, though, one flip of the wrong switch with Beta, and he can go off barking, growling, and scowling on end with no stop to his fury in sight.  Although he may seem like the "laid back and relaxed" guy, he has a short fuse, which shouldn't be tampered with.  His kind nature, blissful personality, and his degree in Quadratic Studies got him 2nd place within the electoral voting process.

Gamma, the third-most powerful of the Four Alimighties, is a monotone, expressionless, stern male.  A Hybrid of an Arctic Wolf and a Forest Raven, Gamma is the stone-cold, no-fun leader of the group.  He never smiles, and is always seen with either a neutral or disappointed expression on his face.  He has a can-do attitude inside of him though, putting vigorous focus on his work, wether it may be filling out documents of the kingdom, or just touching up the castle walls with a little paint.  Rising from the Gamma-Distribufficient Dynasty,  Gamma has a laser-sharp focus on the task at hand, just like the other males found within his Dynasty.  This personality trait and his degree in Fluid Dynamics got him the 3rd placing within the electoral votes.

Delta, the fourth-most powerful of the Four Almighties, is a chirpy, young female.  A Hybrid of a Himalayan Wolf and a Rock Ptarmigan, Delta is the youngest of the group, and is always willing to lend a helping hand.  But, she's much shorter than the other Three, so she gets pushed out accidentally, and is quite offended by this.  Also, she hasn't matured as much as the other Almighties, and still has a kiddish nature, thinking that the Four Almighties is some sort of "family",  sometimes addressing Alpha as "Mother" within board meetings and events, and Alpha just sits there, shaking her head.  Approaching from the Delta-Lapfinite Dynasty, Delta still hasn't found her mature personality yet, and acts like a child.  But, she has a degree in Inverse Matrixes,  which got her a lot of attention, and 4th place within the electoral votes.

These four rulers work together to keep balance within the kingdom of Calcusopolis, and live within the capital city of Mathmateca.  They keep watch over their grand land from the highest point in the entire kingdom: a floating temple, arranged with geometric shapes aplenty, the capital greek letters of Alpha, Beta, Gamma and Delta Floating right above the place in the biggest lettering the citizens could imagine, so the entire kingdom could look up and know who their leaders were, and what dynasty they were hailing from.  These letters floated above the main building, which was in the shape of an inverted pyramid.  Entirely mad out of glass, the inverted pyramid structure reflected the atmosphere for the citizens to see on the outside, but the glass is a two-way mirror, so the Four Almighties could look out at their vast kingdom from a birds-eye view.

But, every year, all of the citizens from all over Calcusopolis gather on the ground, right underneath the inverted pyramid, in hopes of getting chosen.  Chosen for what, you may be asking?  Well, a handful of citizens are chosen to be taken up to the Four Almighties, and given advice on their selected math careers, and how they may continue it throughout their life, all on a day called "The Advice Of The Almighty".  The citizens see it as a pure blessing to be chosen to speak with the Four Almighties, since they worship them so highly.  Only a few citizens are picked, and, since The Advice Of The Almighty comes only ones a year, it is even more of a blessing to be chosen to be given advice to on your career.  Young or old, experienced or just beginning, you are given advice on whatever mathematical career you are pursuing by the Four Almighty.

Today was the day.

Today was the day that he would be chosen for The Advice Of The Almighty.
