Joey woke me up at midnight this morning, "Shh..." was all he said to me before he grabbed my hand and lead me out.

It took me a minute to realize what he was doing, he was showing me the woods.

"Joey is it safe to go out at night?" I asked.

Joey just smirked, "Don't make too much noise and we should be good, besides I have my knife."

" You mean your contraband?" I remarked as we went past the gate into the nearby forest.

"It's not anymore. Now be quiet and look around you." He said as he stopped leading me.

I did as I was told and noticed just how calm it was. All I heard was the wind going through the tree branches. It was also so beautiful. I looked up to see the starlight sprinkling through the trees and the moon illuminating the wildflowers by my feet. I was awestruck, I didn't know if it was because I hadn't been outside in months, but It was the most gorgeous thing I had ever seen.

Then after a few moments to take it all in, Joey grabbed my hand and pointed it to the sky, "That red one is Mars." He said, "Cathy, my station partner, thinks that Mars is closer and is giving us a bad aura and that's why we are in this mess."

"If only it could be explained away like that," I said as I looked at Mars. I could almost laugh at Cathy's suggestion.

"She believes it and honestly I kinda wish I did too. I wish I didn't believe it was all humanities fault."

We stayed quiet after that and looked at the stars before he snuck me back in. I was smiling all day the next day and the people at the garden noticed it. They asked me question after question but I didn't answer all I could do was smile.
