Joey made a bold statement at the meeting. He said that we could keep letting people in but we would need to add more security. He said we would need to put people on the roof with any contraband guns we had. They could warn us of raiders and of swarms. He also claimed that scavengers should go out with weapons in case things got bad.

"We live in a different world now. We need these weapons for protection." He told the group. I saw the scavengers nodding their heads, so apparently, he has gotten their vote.

Joey continued, "If we up security we can let more people in because then we won't have to worry if they are on our side or not. Also, scavengers will be able to search for longer amounts of time instead of having to run every time a bush rustles."

Joey's plan got him the vote. It was close but they agreed to keep letting people in. I went to go talk to him after the vote but he seemed so tired like he didn't get any sleep.

"I just need to take a breather." He said as he hinted for me to leave him alone. I left the room with a weird feeling. I wanted to talk to him or at least see what's wrong with him but I think I will just have to drop it.
