Chapter 19 (Edited)
"Alright, class, put your coloring utensils down," Mr. Jones said. "We will start checking out the drawings starting with the back. Miss Reece, please come forward with your... drawing, and we can discuss it."
I took a deep breath and took the drawing off of the easel before going to the front. I hadn't gotten as much as I wanted to get done, but I had drawn the background and my face. I was basically coloring everything in, trying to make it look life like.
"Well, what do you have?" Mr. Jones asked.
I took another deep breath and placed the drawing on the stand up front. I could hear a couple of gasps, which basically sent me chewing at my bottom lip. "I know it's not as complete as I would like to have it, but it's a basic outline."
"Explain it to us," Mr. Jones said. His voice was kind of soft as if he was thinking of something.
"I was treated like a princess five months before my... ummm... parents death." I rubbed the back of my neck. "I was loved by my whole family because I could make people laugh with my silly antics and because I cared to remember every person I meet names or what they liked." A small smile appeared on my face because I remembered when people sought me out when they were sad or happy. However, it turned into a frown, and I couldn't help but look down. "Five months later, everything changed. I got blamed for something that I didn't do, and my life turned to the worst." I glanced at Mr. Jones, and I sensed that his link was open. 'I got blamed for killing my parents, even after it showed that I loved them with all my heart and mind. I don't know what happened to make you this way, but I know that it had affected you as well as your son.'
Mr. Jones tensed, however he did not say a word about it. "How did it get worse, Miss Reece?" he asked.
I shrugged. "The people that I cared about didn't care about me anymore. I was pushed aside like dirt." 'Unlike your son, I didn't find someone to "love" me for the night.' I hid an eye roll when he growled. 'I think he started his playing ways because you did, causing him to reject his mate. Know this, you can save your relationship with him if you want. If not, then stay out of his way. If you don't then I'll make sure that you do.'
Mr. Jones snorted and looked at the class, who were probably waiting for instructions. "What do you like about, Miss Reece's drawing?" he asked, looking at the class.
One of the students raised their hand. "I like how it looks life like," the student said, looking at me. "Where did you learn how to draw like that?"
I shrugged. "Self taught," I said. "I've always had a knack for drawing, and as the years gone by, my drawings started to get better. I've drawn a lot in my 18 years of being alive. Some of it helped keep me alive."
"Anything else?" Mr. Jones asked. There was silence. "Good, go to your seat, Miss Reece." He didn't look at me, but I could sense that there was something on his brain.
I nodded my head and took my drawing back to my seat. I listened to the others talk about their drawings, but I couldn't help but think as to how I could help him out. I knew that he was missing his mate, and the only reason why he was acting like this was because he wanted to blame someone for her death as well as pushing others away.
The bell rang, causing me to break out of my thoughts. I packed up my bag before going over to where Mr. Jones was sitting down, thinking. I cleared, causing him to look up startled. "I was going to say if you do need someone to talk to or lean on, then I am here. I know you have been pushing people away, but you need to talk to someone. It'll help you get over what had happened." I sighed. "I have to go and see who is going to take me to my next class."
Mr. Jones just nodded his head, not saying a word. He turned around, not even giving me a second glance.
I shook my head before going out of the room. I knew that he could change, but I didn't know if he would. I just hoped that he would take my offer, because it might help us both out.

"You took your sweet time getting out there," someone teased to my left. "Is he still alive?"
I turned to my left and saw that it was Liam. A small smirk appeared on my lips. "And if he isn't?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
Liam frowned and looked at me weirdly while he started to lead me to where my next class was. "I hope you are playing with me," he said. He paused and moved in front of me. "Rylan, you are joking with me, right?"
My smirk deepened. "Did you smell his scent?" I asked, raising in the eyebrow. "I mean, you have a nose for a reason. Use it."
Liam had this far away look in his eyes before he sighed with relief. "He is alive."
I scoffed and rolled my eyes. "Of course he is. I'm not a killer." I glanced around, hating the fact that I was still being stared at by people who didn't have anything better to do. "Who is that?" I asked, seeing some slut beating up a girl who looked to have a disability.
"That is nobody," Liam said. "Come on, we got to go." He grabbed my arm, but I quickly got out of his grip. "Ry-"
"Don't you dare Rylan me," I hissed, my eyes narrowing. Here he was, the Alpha of the pack, standing and seeing one of his packmates doing something wrong, and he wasn't going to do a thing about it? "What's the matter, can't handle a pack member?" I asked, a growl in my voice. I lowered my voice so the Humans wouldn't be able to hear me talking about the pack.
"She's just-"
"Don't even finish that sentence," I warned. "Just because we are different doesn't mean we aren't somebody." I glared at him before I turned around towards where the slut was kicking the fallen female. "Hey, you Slut!" I exclaimed, causing the female to stop mid-kick and her posse start to move around her.
The female, a typical blonde hair blue eyed babe, raised an eyebrow. "Are you talking to me?"
I shoved past the group and stood in front of the younger female. "Uh, ya," I said. "You are the one that is dressed like a slut." I folded my arms around my chest and glared at her. "Why don't you pick on someone your size, or better yet, go fuck your worries away."
The female raised an eyebrow. "Do you even know who I am?"
"Yep, a bully and a slut," I sneered. "So, leave her alone."
The female scoffed and looked at her group. "What should I do to her?" she asked. "I mean, she surely doesn't know the rules."
"Kick her," one said.
"Punch her," another encouraged.
I held back an eyeroll. "Better yet, do both and see where it leads to," I replied. I folded my arms across my chest and raised an eyebrow. "Or are you a chicken?"
The female growled, barely loud enough for the Human female to hear. "You Son of a Bitch," she snarled. "You should watch what you say to me."
I snorted. "What? Going to fuck me? Honey, I don't swing that way. Also, I am not a son. I don't have a dick. And, I am the biggest bitch you have ever met." I grabbed hold of the arm she threw at me and slammed her into the wall, being careful of the fallen female. "If I ever catch you hurting her again, the next thing I'm gonna do is make sure that your pretty face is actually a punching bag," I hissed. "All the boys will look at you and not want to fuck with you. Got it?"
The female whimpered softly and I heard her heart rate pick up. "Uh ya," she said.
"Now, run along and go find a new toy to play with." With that, I shoved her towards her friends.
"Bitch," the female muttered before going off with her friends.
"Ya, and don't you forget it," I said. I didn't look at the female that I had saved, my fear of rejection getting the best of me. "If she bothers you again, tell me," I said. I grabbed my bag and slung it over my shoulder. I walked over to Liam and glared at him before walking in that direction.
"Um.... Rylan?" Liam asked. "The class is in the other direction."
I huffed and turned around and stormed in that direction. I was pissed that he hadn't helped her out. Sure, I was ignoring her, but I didn't want to end up doing something that my brother and I would regret doing.
A small shiver went through my spine while I touched one of the scars on my wrist. Please forgive me, I thought, knowing that the female wouldn't hear what I was saying. I want to help you, but I don't want to get hurt.
