20: Is She Dead?
*Jane's pov*
I was still on the couch when Lisbon came in. It had been about twenty minutes since Missy called. I was still crying from the conversion. She loved me. She told me that even if the world gave up on me, she wouldn't; she would love me no mater what. Yet she was going to be killed once she got off the phone with me. I only glanced at Lisbon. I wasn't ready to hear that she found her, but she was dead. I wasn't ready for the news, and I never would be.
"We found her Jane," Lisbon told me.
"I talked to her," I replied. "She was about to be killed."
"She isn't."
"What?" I asked looking up at her.
"Missy isn't dead." Was it true? Was Missy alive?
"Where is she?"
"That's the bad news. We found her but only just in time. The Red Stars, who are now under arrest, had just put the needle into her arm. She is in the hospital so that they can save, if they can."
"I want to see her Lisbon. I have to see her! She told me she loved me!"
"You can Jane. I came to get you."
"Then let's go."
-----At the hospital-----
We were sitting in the waiting room to hear the news. Her cousin Lisa and her uncle who was aloud to come in from his prison was there. All of the team was there. Worry and greed were in all of us. We just wanted Missy to be safe, and she wasn't yet. Once she was okay and with us, then she would be once again. The Red Stars were no longer going to hurt her. If the law pulled through, then the Red Stars would be no more.
On the way down Lisbon and Cho told me all about it. They left Rigsby and VanPelt to be there if we didn't get to the hospital in time to hear the news.
"We found a warehouse there," Lisbon told me. "Guards were all around the place, and we had to get past them. Inside no one had a gun, so it was easy. I saw the man who took Thomas, and I made him lead us to the room she was in."
"We found her in a wheelchair, and the women told us she just put the needle in," Cho put in. "We don't know what it is, just that it was deadly. Thomas doesn't like needles apparently, so the man found it a cruel death for her."
"I shout him in the arm for you, just like I said I would. Only Cho, Rigsby, and VanPelt were there, and they won't tell. They will say he pulled a gun out or something like that, I'm sure."
"I will," Cho told her. "If you didn't do it, I would have. I'm sure the others would have too."
"Thank you for saving her," I told them.
"She isn't safe yet," Lisbon replied.
"But at least here she can be with us instead of them."
We didn't speak at all until we got there. I saw her uncle and cousin, and they introduced themselves. The guards said that he deserved to be with Missy when she woke up. He told me he only had two months anyway. That was nearly an hour ago.
We all looked up when the doctor came in. There were more people in the room, and they looked up also.
"Who is here for Missy Thomas?" he asked. We stood up and walked over.
"Is she okay?" Louis asked him. The doctor nodded.
"She will be in pain for a while, but she will live. We will keep her here for a week or two, then she may go home. Poor girl went through a lot of fear and abuse just to get here. Killing her would have been the nice thing, but now she will be with friends and family. Do you all wish to see her?"
"Yes please," Lisa told her. We followed to a room in the hallway. The doctor lead us to a room, and opened the door. Inside we saw Missy with her eyes closed with sheets over her. Her eyes opened when the door was shut and she looked up and smiled.
"Hi," she said hoarsely. Her uncle took the seat next to her, and the rest of us crowed the bed to be able to see her. I was on the other side of her, not wanting to leave her again.
"God Missy, you scared us," Lisbon told her, making her smile even more.
"You saved my life," she replied to her. Then she looked at the other agents. "You all did. Thanks."
"We should thank you," Louis sighed taking her hand.
"What for?"
"Staying long enough so we could see you again. You always were a fighter."
"Thanks Uncle Louis. I'm glad they let you out to see me alive instead of dead."
"Two months," he told her then stood up. He let Lisa take her hand and she did.
"Missy, you are alright!" Lisa told her. "I thought you were going to die!"
"I did too," Missy sighed.
"I'm glad you are safe! I have to take Dad back to jail, even though I don't want to, okay? I will be back later."
"Bye Lisa. Bye Uncle Louis."
"Good bye baby girl," Louis said kissing her head. "I'll call you later, alright?"
"I would love that."
"Bye coz," Lisa told Missy. She gave her a light hug and the two left. I took the chair this time.
"We'll leave you two alone," VanPelt told us both, and the four left me alone with Missy. I looked into Missy's green eyes.
"Hi," she said.
"Hi," I said the tears coming once more.
"I didn't leave you, just like you asked."
"I can see that," I laughed a bit, and she laughed too.
"I missed that laugh so much Patrick. I missed you so much."
"I missed you too Missy. What did they do to you?"
"Can I tell you later? I just don't want to talk about it. Right now I just want to spend time with the most wonderful guy on the Earth."
"Would that happen to me?"
"No, I was talking about Cho. Of course it is you!"
"I just want to spend time with the most beautiful girl in the universe."
"That is sweet!"
"I know. Now I have to go see her."
"What?"
"Oh, I was talking about Lisbon."
I stood up and walked to the door, then turned to see her looking shocked in the bed. I smiled and walked back over to her.
"Of course I mean you," I told her sitting back down and kissing her. She kissed back, and then she looked me in the eye.
"I don't think I have meant anyone has annoying has you. You are rude, a pest, and so many other things. Yet I still love you."
"Thank you. You promise you won't leave me again, right?"
"I do. You promise not to leave me?"
"I do."
"It sounds has if we are going to get married."
"I don't know, Missy Jane does sound pretty good, don't you think?"
"Patrick, are you asking me to marry you?"
"Depends, would you say yes?"
"I would."
"Then I am."
She looked at me, then kissed me. She was injured and not going to get out of that bed, but soon she was going to get up. No one was going to hurt my future wife ever again. Like I said, she might not be my wife, but she was almost has good. She might even be better. She was still mine, and I was going to show the world that. Unlike Angela, Missy could take care of herself.
Missy was perfect.
Yay! Missy and Patrick are going to get married! It would be a shame if a certain writer just happen to come along, and, I don't know, just screwed it all up? MWHAHAHAHA!!!!! No, I'm kidding, I'm not going to be that evil, not yet. Next chapter or two will be about Missy in the hospital, then she will go home, then I think I will post the wedding. Then 25 will lead up to Remember Me, which will be running with NB. So I hope you enjoy those two. We are really close, and it makes me sad. It's a good thing that I have RM to do. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, and have a wonderful New Year! Peace out my Stars!
P.S.- If I post once a day, this story will end on New Years. Haha! I found that funny for some reason!
