THE ONE WHERE MILO HAS FEELINGS FOR NIMUE

FOR MILO LIFE WASN'T HARD BEING A SIXTEEN-YEAR-OLD BOY, he absolutely had the charm, charisma, and looks. He grew up to become the most handsome boy there is. Being born with every fiber of red. His curly red hair had definitely carried the same traits as his mother. He looked a lot like his mother than his father, Lenore will tell him. Life wasn't easy for him and his twin, Mal. Both twins were the pure iconic red-headed twins that were born with magical powers despite being very young, they are known to be the tallest people in Dewdenn. The elders always kept them hidden deep in the forest unable to see or speak to anybody in the village. He and Mal have always been told to never contact anybody from the outside. It was strictly forbidden for them to do so.

Not like they care. Mal and he would always sneak to find Nimue and Squirrel. Nimue is the daughter of Lenore. The only reason they hung out with Nimue was because of her mother, Lenore. Nimue has some sort of reputation in Dewdenn ever since her incident long ago. Everybody calls her witch, she isn't in his mind. The longer he spends time with Nimue, the longer his feelings began to grow. Ever since he was eleven, strange tingling feelings started to sprout within him. Mal had determined that he was growing some sort of affection for Nimue.
It came to the conclusion, he had feelings for Nimue. Despite their two year age difference, they all maintain good friends, they even lived in the same village.

He walked alongside Mal, Squirrel, and Nimue. "But what do you have to leave?" Squirrel asked as he climbed over the moss-covered arm of broke man statue. "Agreed!" Mal chimed in following Squirrel's lead.  "I'm not going yet," Nimue said, inspecting a bough of purple flowers growing between the exposed roots of an ancient ash tree.

"Don't go, Nimue," he argued taking her hand. Nimue turned back showing a smile. They were truly made for each other, some would say. "I have to," Nimue broke the connection taking her hand away leaving him in desperation. Milo knew the only reason, she wanted to leave was because of her feeling unwanted in the village. Fear. Judged. He felt like she wasn't making the right choice. "You don't have to leave because you feel scared. Your, not the only one," he spoke out, in whispered. Nimue turned to faced uneasy.

"They don't know you exist. Mal and you, they know I exist. They hate me." She uttered the words in agony. "Please, Nimue!" Squirrel interjected. Milo watched as Mal held Squirrel by the shoulders pulling him back.

"Come on, Squirrel. Let's go see there anything more of us, to steal." Mal spoke, softly. Milo sends her a warning look leaving Mal to chuckled. "I'm kidding, let's go." Mal dragged Squirrel along leaving him and Nimue alone.

They walked around the forest for many hours. "Are you worried about the elders?" Nimue asked breaking the silence. Milo chuckled. The elders were certainly no glory to the eye, every day they would visit his sister and him to run test runs. His sister had unique power, strange abilities. Whenever they visited, the elders would always separate him and his sister when their test runs occur. He had the power to manifest white power, it was a unique gift. He had the ability to energized and create a sensitivity energy ball of light, channeling it to any item. Thunder. It would always make him charge up.

"Those shriveled onions can stick up their own noses." With his sentence, she laughed.
"See there is that smile, I loved to see." He commented staring at her. He could see her cheeks flushing red.

"Do you miss Gawain?" He asked. Leaving her to widened her eyes, plainly shocked. "He might come back someday." He finished. Nimue showed a smile. "Is that why you're leaving?" He asked chuckling.

"Don't be ridiculous," she spoke, calmly. Nimue pinches him on the arm. "Ow!" He complained.

"Now pay attention to when, I'm gone. This would benefit you. And perhaps you could teach Squirrel." She began. Nimue pointed to a shrub defended by nettles. He rolled his eyes. "That's Osha root. It protects us from dark magic. And it's for Bloodwort, for hexes." He said, "and for hangovers." Nimue looked at him disbelief.

"How do you know?" She asked. "Have you met my perfect sister? Mal practically knows everything. She listens to the elders whenever they tried to explain this, she ends up teaching me later." He paused. "The hangover is a lucky guess," he smirked causing Nimue to pinched his arm again.

"Ow, Nimue!" He complained.

They kept walking within the forest. They leaped to a branch that allowed for an unobstructed view of Dewdenn's pastures and huts. "You will not stay for the summoner ceremony?" He questioned.

"I don't believe so. I don't want too," they began walking. Milo couldn't put his words together. The reason for these tests that are performed on them was because of their final quest. They have to accompany whoever is chosen as summoner. It was their main purpose for all their training. She doesn't understand nor he will ever. He doesn't get but it's a quest that he must fulfill.

"What have you done?" He heard a voice. He snapped out of his thoughts. He quickly went towards Nimue side. He found himself looking at a Josse, he knew him because apparently Josse was the first to know about them. He was that revealed to half of the village, of monsters living deep inside the forest referring to them.

"Well isn't the white-freak!" Josse loudly spoke. Milo scrunched his nose feeling frustrated. "Why did you do that!" Nimue spoke getting Josse attention.

"What's it look like? I was fetching supper!" Milo watched as Josse grabbed the fawn by the black legs and hauled it onto his shoulders. Milo could feel some strange connection channeling within the side of him. Nimue neck began to turn green. "No! Nimue listen to my voice!" He tried calling her out.

"Nimue!" He roared his voice the last time snapping her out of her trance. "Milo," she breathed out. He cupped her hair feeling her trembling. "It's okay," he replied. He turned back facing Josse.

He then turned to stare at Josse. "What are you going to now? Milo? I should say a monster!" He taunted him. Milo didn't like this anymore. He began to raise his finger, channeling a white sting of light at the tip of the index fingertip.

"What are you doing?" Josse stuttered. As soon as he said those words. He raised his hand causing Josse to fall back to the ground, tripping. His flesh was cut into half, Josse was shocked dropping everything running to the other side. "Monsters, you are!" He yelled running the other side to attacked Milo.

He turns his head to react only to find him thrown into the air, onto the ground. He was shocked. "Nimue," he whispered amazed. He could see Josse getting up, angry. He ran towards their side angry enough. He shoved Nimue hard against the stump as he reached for his ruined bow. All their attention was suddenly turned to a loud booming voice.

"Nimue!" Lenore's voice was ice enough to cook Nimue temper. Milo knew they were caught this time. He watched as Josse gathered the fawn and the bow pieces and tromped off. "You'll hear of this, you bloody witch! They're right about you!"

"Good! Be afraid! And leave me alone!" Josse stormed off, Milo and Nimue were left under Lenore's disapproving gaze. Lenore walked closer to Milo first.

"Milo, the elders are looking for you and your sister. Would you be a dear and find your sister?" Milo immediately nodded giving one last look at Nimue before running off, to find his twin sister.

Where can she be?

AUTHOR NOTE:

Hello, I just want to clarify this story will follow the book. Honestly, I was not inspired to repeat the same storyline like the T.V show, because, let's face it, I already did with my other story, I won't do it again. I will follow the book, the actual book. I read through it, and honestly, it gives a lot more information than the actual T. V show, which I found so interesting.
