Alice had been like a sister to her. She will never fight that. Slowly, she started to loose herself. Things are the same thing anymore. She is loosing it. Slowly, her life is falling apart. Her mother keeps urging it's for the better.
She doesn't think so, she deserves a happy ending. She loves her children, they deserve it too. Nothing will stop her. She made a trip. She will go on to visit him. She will tried to stop the wedding. She needed to. Charles loves her. Deep down, she know it. Charles had always loved her.
It's been one month, she managed to arrived, she had help. Her mother stayed back to take care of the kids, Alice stayed along as well. She was going to win Charles back. He may know the truth but he will come back to her. She know he will.
Slowly, she walked inside Pendragon castle. It was awfully quiet. Slowly, she walked inside looking around. How could they let her in? Something is wrong. Is like somebody expected her to come.
"Gwendolyn?" She looked to the side, Uther was there. He smiled running towards her. They immediately embraced for a hug. He cupped her cheeks. "What are you doing here?" She looked at with him with tears in her eyes. "I had come to stop the wedding."
He looked at her uneasy. "It's too late. They got married. The wedding isn't here. It's at King Lot kingdom." Slowly her eyes started to swelled up, she didn't care anymore. "What? No!" She backed away horrified. She didn't care anymore.
"No, please! Don't say that!" She begged. Uther looked at her concerned. "Come to my room, you need some rest." He quickly led her to his room. "Here, take some wine." He handed her a glass of wine, as she took a sip.
"I can't believe it!" She started to loose her conscious. She couldn't believed it. "More wine!" He said once more. He fill her glass again. She took another sip, she wasn't wasting no time.
Her vision started to blur. "Uther, no more." She said calmly. "Look, Charles had married this morning. He should be consummating the marriage right now." Slowly she began to loose her vision.
"No! He promise me. He'll marry me." She stated. Uther stared at her for long second. "He promises a lot of girls. Charles had always had reputation with the ladies. You should have known better. I'm sorry you hear this from me." At that moment, she couldn't believed it. Maybe because she was drunk? Or she wanted to vomited. She clearly didn't believed it. How could he? Charles had loved her. Had. "It's not true."
"Oh please. If Charles had loved you. He would have stay for you. You know that better than anybody else. Who knows? You would never have come here in the first place." Slowly, tears started to shed down the cheeks.
"Here, some wine would help." He handed her another glass, this time she took it. "I can't believe it," she took another sip. "He betrayed me. He did it. He would have stayed for me. I love him, Uther," she took another sip. This wasn't like her to be drinking. She felt like her world is over. Charles had betrayed her. He had married a woman, he did not love. Soon enough they'll have children of their own, and start a family. Charles will forget about her.
"If he truly loved you, he would have stayed for you," Uther repeated those words, handing her another glass of wine. Why was he handing her all these glasses of wine? She took a sip, and continued to shed some tears.
She didn't hate Charles. She hated herself.
Slowly, she began to moved towards the opposite direction. "I have to go," she said. Slowly, when she got up, Uther had leaned against her. "I had loved you all this time. I'm not letting you go this time." He smashed his lips against hers, shocking her. To her surprise, she responded. He cupped her cheeks and began to moved closer to her. They couldn't stopped kissing. This was very wrong.
"I love you," he kept saying. Slowly, he leaned her against the wall, he pulled her dress up. "Uther," she said, softly. Uther looked at her for once long second. "I love you, never forget that." He repeated those words. Gwendolyn couldn't think for one second. She truly felt drunk. She didn't know what she was doing. He smashed her lips against her. He began to thrusting inside of her, as their moans began to get louder. He cupped her cheeks, kissing her on the lips, she stood stared against the wall, feeling his every move inside of her. He thrusted inside her, as her moans got louder. It was harsh.
They were both clearly intoxicated already.
"Come to my bed," Uther suggested, whispering. She nodded along listening to his words. She shouldn't have listened at all. She followed him to this bed, he started to take his pants off while she took her dress off leaving her bare. They were both bare in front of each other, he leaned closer to her. They began to kissed each other wasting not time. They were completely naked, in his bed.
It was the biggest regret in her life.
