Pallene, The Dark Kingdom

Hidden, far away, divided from the rest of mid Pangea, far West separated only by a thin but long river, was a region that many people, from every race, refused to travel to.

Here, the land turns into a barren desert. Difficult to travel to, let alone stay at, there were the ruins of a once great kingdom.

This abandoned metropolis was once known as Pallene. In the time of Deimos, it was here, that Ahriman would remain, building his armies, giving weapons and powers to his followers. It was also the home of the Giants. An ancient extinct race, that Deimos wiped from existence, for they were too violent, and caused much harm and destruction to the many flourishing races at that time.

Overseeing the ruins form a far away dune. A tall man shrouded in dark robes stood. Along with what appeared to be a small force of armed men in dark bone shaped armor.

They were a small army, with cages full of women and men, who were begging for release. Slaves to whoever this cloaked man was.

"My lord... We have been wondering for 5 years." One armored man spoke, "Why do we stop now?"

The cloaked figure turned to him, and gave an intimidating glare. His red eyes glowed under his shroud.

"Silence.." he spoke, "do not speak.."

"Yes my lord.." he bowed before him.

"My, it looks as if Eons have left this place in shambles. The desert really does conquer all.."

He levitated into the air, and floated over the ruins that were barely poking out from the sand.

"These mortals have forgotten yet again..." He growled, "more of a reason to wipe them all out.."

He extended his hand, pointing his fingers to the sand covering the ruins.

"My palace... My home... The place where I once ruled Pangea..." He hissed, "so disrespectful of the mortals to let this place rot..."

Just then the wind seemed to begin swirling violently. Blowing hard beneath his hand.

The wind spins more and more, and the sand coving the ruins began to get blown away.

The ruins seemed to reveal themselves little by little as the wind blew the sand away. The shrouded man's soldiers were in awe.

"Well, looks like I'll need to do repairs too.." he takes to himself.

He then turned his hand, as if turning an invisible dial, as the wind then subsided, falling silent as the grave.

He then made a halberd with his fingers, and pointed to the center of the ruins.

"Come, rewind yourself great stone, so you may serve me once more.." he chanted, "in my name, I make you new and functional once more. A kingdom of darkness, a kingdom of ruin..."

The entire area began glowing in a twisted, blood red magical shockwave, rippling all throughout the ruined city.

The whole area shook as if caught in a massive earthquake. Magical cracks appeared within the area. And it pulsed outword. Humming a sad unholy moan.

"I Ahriman, The being who ruled over all the darkness in the universe, command you, Pallene, make yourself as I remember you, become my dark realm once more..."

His shroud fell back, revealing his dark hair, pale skin, and glowing red eyes. The Primordial was done hiding.

Pallene repaired itself almost instantly. And Ahriman 's soldiers rejoiced, for they found their new home.

As they enter the city, Ahriman floats back to the ground below.

This city was repaired instantly, the magic he used, allowed the ruins to return to their original form.

Every building was black, made from an odd metal. As his followers made their way to the new city, they felt as if they had found paradise.

In the center of the city stood  a large pyramid shape. It pointed to the sun, and a beam of line colored light shot to the heavens. Clouds formed, and then rain and thunderstorms. The rain was heavy and hard, unlike anything ever seen before.

Within minutes, the ancient dried up canals replenished themselves. As lighting struck the ground, the entire barren desert seemed to stretch out further, past the mountain ranges to the east and west.

Next Ahriman slapped his fist onto the dark stone path at his feet. And the earth shook it felt like, and cracks began to form throughout the path.

From the cracks, a soft and erie fog began to form, it was colored an ominous purple color.

The most spread throughout the city and into the walls that surrounded the dark kingdom.

Ancient markings and dark symbols glowed red, orange and yellow, glowing as if a liquid filled the lines. It was magma, like that form a volcano.

Ahriman stood firm, and looked at his dead city come to life like the magic he used.

The forges burned once more, and from the pyramid a late gateway opened wide.

A powerful roar erupted from within.

"Good... One of my pets still live.." Ahriman smiled, his fanged teeth burned "then my plan won't be so far away as I planned.."

He felt a chill fill his body. A familiar feeling. He felt the presence of something that he hadn't felt in eons, the whisper of his brother Armazda perhaps? Or the presence of his chosen.

"Show yourself spirit.." Ahriman commanded, "Brother? Or is it you, Scarred One? I know that it can't be the Starchild, for he cannot sense the presence of my aura.."

From our of nothing it seemed, stepped a translucent figure of sorts. It's outline glowed with many silver, gold, and white lights.

As it stopped in front of the primordial. It body formed.

In waves flesh took hold of the figure, and a shimmering silver armor formed over the skin.

As soon as the figure's face and hair formed, Ahriman could see his true form.

"Ah... Father.. you show yourself to me..."

The man standing before him was neither Armazda or Deimos. As soon as the figure's eyes glowed gold in a holy light, he recognized him.

"Elder One... Father of all creation... You finally reveal yourself to me after eons... I'm flattered.."

"Son.." the Elder One spoke, "..it's been a long time.."

The Elder One's hair was a silver mane, long and beautiful. His eyes pierced the hollow soul of Ahriman.

"Fayher.. why have you come to me?"

"To tell you, not to pursue your heart's desire.."

"Why shouldn't I? This is what you created me for.."

"And for a millennia you did.." the wise one spoke, " until you let your jealousy consume you.."

"Jealousy!? No father!!" He howled, "mortals of this world have blasphemy on your name, even after you've given them so much!!  I give them the punishment, and the damnation that that deserve!! Calamity will be fall them! And this time there are no deities like Deimos, Zeus, Odin, or Ra, who can ruin my plans!"

The tension between them was so thick you could cut it with a knife.

"Silence Child!!" The Elder One gave a godly roar, "You dare speak ill of your siblings!  I will not tolerate your insolence any longer!!"

The elder one held his hand to Ahriman. And Ahriman smiled.

"I knew you would come to me father, as soon as my kingdom would be recovered from the desert sands..."

Just as Ahriman spoke, his loyal followers surrounded them both.

"With the gods dead, and with the world forgetting about you! I don't think you have enough worshippers to stand before me!! Not like you did all those ages ago!!"

The Elder One looked around him. His own creations seemed to turn on him. As much as he wanted to, he couldn't make himself erase his own creations.

"So mortals, this is what you choose." He addressed them. "You follow the false prophet.. the Dark one.."

He lowered his hand.

"If this is what you truly desire, then I warn you!" He turned to them, "should you place yourself in this fallen Primordial's service. The Champion of Deimos, The Starchild, WILL show you no mercy!!"

"The Starchild is weak!!" Ahriman blasphemed, "What can your champion do against what I have planned for this world?"

"I have seen all possible futures, I am felt every possible outcome! It's a long bloody battle, but this trail of blood will always lead to the same result!!"

"Is that so?"

"Yes, for I speak it, and it shall be.. such is my power, such is my will!" The Elder One said, "Do to me what you will, but eventually, you will ultimately fail.."

"No father!! I have seen the future as well!! And it will end as I desire it!!"

The Elder One  then willed a powerful  ring of magic into existence, and it surrounded him.

As Ahriman's followers moved closer, the ring pulsed and threw them back, over, and over again. The Elder One didn't want to kill them. For he believed there was still a chance for redemption on their hearts.

"In the past, you used the Titans, various gods, and powerful mortals from all the races of earth to answer your banner." The Elder One spoke again, "the Atlanteans, Giants, Lizard People, some dwarves, and many humans all stood by you for your false promises..."

He looked at the followers of his son.

"Now you use humans and Elves... Your forces are no longer as threatening as they once were... For many of the races of old are gone now.. what makes you think you still have a chance against the Starchild?"

"Because father.. I am the only divine being they worship now, remember your favorite children are all dead now!!"

"The are dead because of you!!"  The Elder One Looked at those red jewels with pain, and anger, "you overstepped your station, and wiped them all out!!"

"Because your creations are weak compared to me.."

"Insolent child!" The Elder One's furry took over, "I came here willing to offer you sanctuary, so you may avoid your inevitable future!!  So I can give this world and you a greater chance to grow in peace once more!!"

"No!! Your kingdom is flawed and weak!!" Ahriman howled, "I will over throw you, and make this world my domain!"

Ahriman looked at the magic circle around his father. And though of a dark plan.

"I will be the nee creator of this realm!! Your time has come to an end father!!"

Just then, Ahriman used his will to command the circle, and it turned black, and stopped. In that instant, black chains, covered in blue flames shot upward form every angle, surrounding the Elder One, Trapping him.

"You ignorant prideful fool!!" Ahriman spoke, "you fell to my trap as well, ensnared like the hopeless deity you truly are!! You were once the greatest of all of us, but now, you are beneath me as well.."

The Elder One said nothing, and gave a strange smile.

Ahriman took that smile in, he couldn't tell if The Elder one was proud of him, or if it was him looking at the many futures he spoke about. Regardless, the Elder One was now Bound in Chains, which was Ahriman's goal all along.

As Ahraman clenched his fist the chains pulled The Elder One into a strange void that formed within the magic circle.

As the void vanished, Ahriman felt a strange sensation, as if a portion of his strength had just returned.

He looked at his fist, and then looked at his followers.

"Children! Dedicated to my plan!! We have one a greys victory already!! The Elder One is no more!!"

The followers were in uproar, excited and proud.

"Now I send you to the lands south of our home, being me followers, and guide them to me!! Tell them that the darkness is the way now, and together we will reshape this world into a kingdom of truth!! "

Ahriman spoke with much charisma, and they all bowed before him. As they begin to scatter all over Pangea, Ahriman returned his attention to the great roaring sound form the pyramid.

"Now... My pet... To greet you once more,..."

He entered the Pyramid. Following the roars down a long winding hall.

The ceiling glowed with a purple mist, lighting the hall in the place of torches. The inside of the black pyramid were made from gold and silver, and ordained with carvings that glowed with magma.

After traveling down the narrow hall, Ahriman came to the opening in the grand chamber beneath the structure. Inside was a creature only heard of in only a few legands.

It was large. Consuming the very stones and grass that grew in the chamber.

The creature was consuming grass that grew in the chamber, like the cattle. He had strength unlike any other beast in the kingdom. His bones were like Orichalcium. The creature had sharp horns and tusks decorating its body like that of a natural armor.  As he moved towards Ahriman, the entire pyramid shook. It had unparalleled strength. In the time when the world was new. This beast was known as one of the 3 great kings.

The three kings roamed and ruled over the sky, the earth, and the sea, they were the greatest of all creatures in the world.

This one was the king of Earth, and was once a peaceful creature until Ahriman captured him before the time of Deimos. It was named Behemoth. And rightly so.

It stomped forward to great it's master. And bowed it's horned head.

"Good, Behemoth, you didn't forget about me.."

It let out a huge roar.

"Good... Now... Come, for we must find the king of the sea and the king of the sky..."

It followed Ahriman to the end of the room.

"Open.."

Ahriman commanded the wall, and a great doorway formed, showing the sun burning high above the ground.

Ahriman the. Mounted Behemoth, and road the beast out of the chamber, into the streets of Pallene. Where a man in a dark shroud, similar to his own was waiting for him, he was mointed ontop of a white horse...

"Ah my champion of Conquest.." Ahriman smiled. "I am glad to see that you still yet live..."

"My lord.." he bowed, "you have given me Thousands of years to gather followers and to prepare for your second coming... And I have finally completed your task..."

"Is that so?"

"Yes.." he removed his hood, his pointed ears resembled that of an elf, but his eyes, showed he was far older... "I have mapped out the locations of the remaining 2 beasts... Your other two primal kings..."

"Very good my first deciple..." He road Behemoth closer to the rider, "..and I shall help you achieve your revenge as I promised.."

"Thank you my lord..." He then reached under his cloak and held out an ancient parchment, "Leviathan, and Ziz will be at these locations here... I've even mapped their migration patterns, and where they hunt.."

"Very good child..." Ahriman grinned, "you have done more than I asked.."

"My lord.. forgive me, but.. I must know.. did you have this all planned out? Even when Deimos sealed you away?"

"I always knew Deimos would seal me.. and I always knew the gods and goddesses would fall. I planned everything, and there is still much to accomplish..."

"My lord, you truly are the wisest of all divines..."

"Without the Atlanteans, and soon, without the Fae... There will be no race powerful enough to defeat us.."

"I am ready for the fae to be punished for what they did to me and my followers.." the man had pain and anger in his eyes, "Titania's descendants will pay for her judgment over me.."

"Did you find a suitable host for me to give the Mantle of Famine too?"

"Yes.. and he will be a great asset. His name is  Critias Roxwall..."

"I see.. and did you give him my gift?"

"After I bested him in battle.. yes, he gladly pledged his life to your service.."

"Good.. then the pieces are beginning to place themselves as I planned..."

"But sir..." He nodded respectfully again, "what of War? With Lemos gone, we are missing 2 generals to serve you..."

"Do not worry.. I have plans for a new champion of war.. and then, we will seek a champion for death.."

"Who my lord?"

"I can't tell you.. but, I do have a powerful soul in mind.. I also have a soul in mind for Death as well.."

"My lord.. how many champions do you have planned?"

"Let me explain this, should these candidates fail, I can easily seek another one, and another.. for I have for seen the future I desire..."

"I understand..." The Champion of Conquest nodded, ".. am I replacable?"

"..no.. of course not.." Ahriman placed his hand on his shoulder, "..I will never be able to find a champion to replace you, Olberon... The king of the Fae, and the first Elf, can't possibly be replaced..."

"That means so much to me my lord.."

"Good for you are essential to my plans for this world... After all of your waiting, you will finally have your revenge... This is your reward for remaining so faithful to me in my service... My dark child... You are like a son to me.."

"Thank you Lord.. It means more to me than you know.."

Ahriman finally took the parchment from Olberon.

"I have one order for you for now though child.."

"Yes Lord?"

"Remain here in Pallene, and lead my forces, for I will seek out Leviathan and Ziz.. I will not return for a while.. and while you're at it, I want to to seek out something else for me.."

"What do you desire master?"

"Find the Vault of that retched demi-god. For I seek the return of the Blade of Devastation, so that I may be armed once more with all the souls of my Fallen Primordials.. I will need the sword to ensure my reign over this realm.."

"As you command my lord.."

"I will appear before Critias, and have him seek the key.. I cannot let that impotent human Keenio get his hands on the vault at any cost..."

"Why not simply kill the human and be done with it?"

"Because I have plans for him as well.. he must stay alive for what I have planned..."

"Shall we atelast capture him?"

"If you can, then yes.. but he will be protected, one of his friends is the descendant of King Arthur Pendragon, and another is the Champion of the only god I struggled against when I killed them all.."

"I see, it will be no simple task then..." Olberon thought for a moment, "but humans will do anything if it means protecting the people they care about.."

"Then use his attachments as your leverage..." Ahriman answered, "I leave this plan up to you.."

"Yes my lord.."

After that, Ahriman rode off, leaving Olberon to remain in Pallene. As soon as Ahriman was not longer in view. The Champion of Conquest began inspecting the Dark Kingdom, and began plotting the plans he was ordered to achieve.

Meanwhile, Back in Xenthos, during the Festival of Champions. Keenio, Elizabeth, Veronica, and Selene were still watching the first matches of the tournament, and finally the final match of the first round had come.

"Now, this match will conclude the first round of matches.." Keenio addressed the crowd in the colosseum, "it'll be Theseus of Thebes, verses, Adrian Sylvanas!!"

The crowed gree in uproar, the Sylvanas family were famous in Pangea, they are a family that's existed since Humans first walked amongst Pangea, they took up the name of the god they served, and had the most powerful earth magic anyone had ever seen, they were a family with direct ties to the fae, and the Elves. Keenio knew this wasn't going to be an easy match for Theseus. Keenio once fought Adrian's sister Stella, on a mission he and Elizabeth took ages ago. She's the reason Keenio won't take escort missions as often, and she's considered the weakest one on the Sylvanas family.

Theseus was wearing an upgraded form of his leather armor. It looked harder and more impressive than the armor he used to wear. However, he still always wore his dark purple and gold tunic, signaling the pride he has for his home city in Thebes. At his waist he had his sheathed sword, and on his back he carried his favorite treasure. His golden bow of Ra. He stood confidently before the masses that were watching. And he looked up into the stands at Keenio, Veronica, and Elizabeth.

Shortly after that, vines began for form from the ground, and form the walls, the created chains within chains connecting to center of the colosseum arena.

As the vines began to leave their entry points they spun and wove around the center area, creating a twister of green plants. And then they vanished, and decayed. As they crumbled at broke apart, a man emerged.

He had rounded ears, and jade green eyes. His skin was a tan, and you could make out s hue of faded green markings. He was armed with just a large staff, that resembled that of a twisted  branch. He wore forest green robes with blue-green markings. His hair was long and black, and he wore a stubble. He looked to be in his mid thirties, maybe early 40s. As soon as he was in view, the plants vanished without a trace.

The already noisy audience grew impossibly louder. Adrian Sylvanas was standing before them, the only person people praised as much as him, was Keenio himself. Adrian was renowned to all of Pangea, as being the only master of Nature Magic.

"Did you really have to make that big of an entrance?" Theseus teased, "I mean, yeah, that was cool, but was it necessary?"

Adrian pulled a strand of wood form his staff, and his magic turned it into a pipe, and said nothing.

He packed the pipe and put it in his mouth, the. Flicked his finger, and the pipe lit. Then he took a single puff, and looked at his opponent.

"Do you want a hit kiddo?"

Theseus was confused, he couldn't understand his persona. They were about to battle, and he was offering him a bit of his pipe? It was so strange.

"Kiddo?" He held out the pipe, "are you deaf? Do you want a hit or not?"

Theseus still had a look of confusion, he thought for a moment.

"..eh..." Be shrugged, "why not.."

He took the pipe and took a hit. Then handed it back to Adrian. Adrian smiled, and nodded.

"I knew I'd like you kid!" He smiled, and then the pipe vanished, "now let's have a fun battle sound good?"

Theseus nodded, in agreement.

"Are you ready contestants?" Elizabeth commanded, "your battle is just about to begin!"

"You haven't changed one bit have you Pendragon?" Adrian answered back, smiling, "well, if it's a show you and your friendly king want, then it's a show you'll get!!"

Theseus and Adrian center themselves in the arena. Ready to begin. Once Keenio gave the signal, the contestants took their stances.

Theseus drew his sword, and readied himself, but it seemed that Adrian just stood there relaxing. Was this a strategy of some kind? It was Adrian just not interested in battling right now? Theseus couldn't read him.

But Keenio could, and so could Elizabeth.

"Are you going to battle me or just stand there?"

Adrian looked at him, and was unphased.

"Well kiddo, come at me and find out if you want.." he calmly spoke, "it won't make any difference..."

Theseus thought the man was taunting him, so he stood their ready, not wanting to fall for the taunt.

"I don't even have to move to battle you you know kid?"

"I'm not a kid!! I'm almost 30!!"

"Ah, you're still a kid to me.." he gave an easy breath, "I myself am 245 years old..."

Theseus still kept a defensive stance, ready for whatever battle laid ahead of him. He could tell, this definitely wasnt going to be an easy match. He still couldn't read the man. And that alone was enough to intimidate him.  He was curious to what Adrian Silvanas was planning, he never fought a Silvanas before.
