Chapter 54: Tantrum

Fallacy looked down at the three of their lieutenants that were kneeling in front of their throne, the fourth hidden in shadows behind them just waiting. The serpentine deity had summoned them all for a proper meeting, and to have a more proper talk about the situation.

"Shard," They addressed first, bringing the wine red creatures' eyes to turn to the red-and-green ones of the snakes, "Mind explaining what happened in the forest once again? I'd like to get everyone's opinion on the matter."

"Of course master." She replied without missing a beat, though it was clear she desperately didn't want to talk about it, "I went to capture and bring back the three runaways, and I was close to doing so, when I was hit with something I could not recognize and was sent away to a new and random location."

Hills pushed down a laugh, though a snort pushed its way past his lips. Shard snapped to him with a growl, teeth on full display. But she backed down after a look from Fallacy.

"You failed your mission, quite spectacularly might I add, and you don't know why?" Fallacy inquired, face neutral.

"No master, I do not." Shard answered with a bowed head, ears pushed flat against her skull.

"Well I know." The deity said, tongue flicking out at the end of their sentences, "You failed because you were cocky and foolish. Cocky, because you thought you had them and didn't look around for anymore threats, and foolish, for that same reason." Fallacy rose from their throne and slithered up to Shard, "If you would have paid attention to where you were, you would have realized you were in Lady Wars territory." Shard yelped when the clawed hand of the deity dug into her bottom jaw and forced her to look up into the serpents blazing eyes, "But instead you went and ruined the mission, slowing down our goals and furthering theirs!"

"I'm sorry master!" Cried the beast, all of her muscles tensing as to not follow intsinct and attack back, "It wont happen again, I swear!"

Shard breathed out a sigh of relife when the hand on her chin left, "I know you won't, beacous you won't be going out to attack them." Before she could ask why Fallacy continued on, "No, instead you shall prepare the Red Moon, it seems like we'll be moving a bit faster than first intended. Well? Go." Shard bowed deeply with a nod and answered, "Of course master" before surring off.

This left Califir and Hills in the room, and Rook but he was just watching silently from the shadows still, and Fallacy returned to their throne now that Shard had been delt with, "Now then, how about some less disappointing things? Califir, how are the nullifiers coming along?"

"There coming along well, though we are still adjusting them to include the more resilient of them." The sorceres replied, yellow hands coming up to adjust her slipping glasses.

"This is easily fixed I hope?" Fallacy prompted, the silent threat was left to hang in the air.

Califir nodded surely, "Yes, it will probably be done by the end of the week if we progress like expected."

Fallacy nodded pleased, "Wonderful, I'm glad at least someone people here know how to do their job. And you Hills, is everything going as planned?"

The shadow nodded with a wide smirk, "They are, master. As more join more feel the need to do the same, and even now we already have well over two hundred shadows who've joined."

"Good." Purred Fallacy, eyes shining as they looked down on the two lieutenants. "You're both dismissed." The two nodded before scuring off to continued their work. From behind their throne Rook rose, scales shimmering under the lights of the throneroom. He walked up and position himself more by the throne, and this time sitting instead of laying down.

"They were by the Temple of War, which means they we're looking for Lady War." Mussed Fallacy, hand tapping against the arm of their throne as a frowned formed on their face, "Which means that they know how to kill me. But how could they know? Unless..." The deity rose, eyes glowing as they slitered out towards the door, motionig for Rook to stay put, "Unless Varity told them. Of course they would, what was I even expecting?"

It didn't take long for the deity to make their way down to the cells and to their opposites cage. And, lo and behold, the damn owl was looking at them with an innocent smile, "Hello Fally, what brings you down here?"

"Did you tell them about the sword?" Hissed the serpent, ignoring Varity's question completely. The feathered deity chuckled and amswered with a short, "Maybe." They then looked passed Fallacy and behind them, their eyes shining with amusement, "But I believe that's the least of your problems at the moment."

The serpentine frowned with a scoff, but turned to look anyways. And they froze as the scene of an empty cell greeted them, "You let them out!" Fallacy screeched, eyes burning with rage as they snapped back at the the owl, "How did you let them out? Your cell isss magicproof!"

"That's what you think." Smiled Vairty, tapping a finger against Fallacy's snout now that they were close enough. "I mean it is, but not even your magic can take away all magic. All I had to do was build it all up and save, and then I have all the magic I need to do what I want."

Fallacy let out a hiss-growl combo as their tail slamme into the ground in agitation, "Aghhhh! Why mussst you alwaysss come in my way?!"

"Balance." Variety answered shortly, a smirk on their face as they looked over Fallacy's form, "Something you obviously can't accept."

That was it for the snake deity, as they thrusted their arm into the cell and digging their claws into the owl deity and pushing all their power into the lighting that formed at their hand. And had Varity not been Fallacy's opposite they would be so far past dead it isn't even funny. After a few second of keeping up a steedy flow of power they finally let go, hands sizzling and still crackling with residue lightning. Variety's feathers were a tiny bit frizzed, but other than that they didn't show any signs of the attack.

With one last growl Fallacy left, shouting at people to go out and look for the escapees on the way, scaring more then a few soldiers walking around. And back in the cell Varity was left giggling to themselves, sitting down to smoothing down some of their feathers as they listened to the sound of the enraged snarpent slowly fade out.

Temper tantrums are really funny, they mussed, especially when your the one to cause them. And it would even more fun once Fallacy realized it was already too late.

<Yes you see right, that is a Fallacy perspective! I feel you all deserved a little treat, so this is what I give you; a new and never seen before perspective. This was honestly really fun to write, so I hope you all had fun reading it!

And now I will go to bed, so stay safe and have a wonderful time everyone!

EDIT: It's also TRMAS one year anniversary! Well yesterday, August 2nd, but you get my point. So this project is officially my oldest work that's still going on!>
