Matt hummed happily walking down the polished white floors of the shopping center. He looked up at the names of the stores, he only had one more stretch to complete before he could go home content. Thud, Matt stumbled back, "Hey! Oh uh sorry" Matt said twiddling his thumbs. Matt extended his hand and internally cringed at the outfit worn by the person on the ground, boots, black trousers and a brown hoodie, they weren't even outside and they still had their hood up! The stranger got up and held their head for a second before taking one look at Matt and running. Rude Matt though but decided to let it go and continue on his trip, nothing was going to get him down today.
Matt had finished his last shop when he had a sudden thought, Edd might want more cola. Matt felt like a genius, Edd would be so happy. He walked into the closest store and grabbed a few cans from a fridge by the entrance. He walked through the aisles looking for the tills when he saw a familiar outfit, it was weird fashion guy. Matt stopped in his tracks as the person grabbed some bolts shoved them into their pocket a went to leave. Matt followed close behind, luckily there was no line and the exchange went quickly. "Miss the person who just left stole something" Matt sighed in frustration as the teenage girl looked at her phone and ignored him. Matt left watching the person walk casually away, following them to an elevator. Matt grabbed their arm suddenly as they walked in but all he got was sleeve, the thief franticly pressed the close button as Matt attempted to pull him out. With a ding the doors shut tightly on his sleeve and the elevator descended. As his feet left the ground he unzipped his hoodie falling to the gum ridden metal floor beneath him. He sighed I'm relief chuckling and grabbing the bolts from his pocket "Jævla helvete...".
Matt strolled down the hallway to Edd's door taking out his key and entering, " Hey gu-", a shoe barely missed his head. Edd and Tom were watching him from behind the sofa, Matt put his shopping down and put his hands on his hips. "We uh, thought you were someone else..." Tom said nervously, Edd nodded. Matt sighed and sat down "There's no monsters out there you two chill out" Matt handed Edd the cola, "thanks Matt" Edd chirped feeling happier now. Tom however couldn't help but feel anxious "Matt, did you lock the door?".
