Shopping and Ice Skating
"Why are you telling me to wear all these stuff? It's hot." I mumbled into the scarf as jungkook wrapped the scarf around my neck. "It's going to be cold later I don't want you to get sick." I coughed, "I am sick." He pinched my cheeks, "Stop faking." He smiled widely. "What are we doing today?" I hooked my arm around his, as we walked.
"Something fun, but first we need to shop for a dress. Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and we need a dress for the family dinner. Also, the Christmas party." I groaned, "then can I take the scarf off? I'm sweating in this." I whined, "Arasso arasso." I smiled, and jungkook help take off the scarf. We walked around the mall going to store to store.
The dresses were all so beautiful, but they never caught Jungkook's attention or liking, such a picky boy. We walked into another store full of variety of different dresses. My mouth gaped open as we walked around, "Close your mouth silly." Jungkook pushed my chin up to close my mouth, "Heh sorry." I mumbled.
Jungkook told me to sit down while he looked for a dress. I waited patiently fiddling with my fingers, Jungkook came back with a dress about mid thigh. I tilt my head to the left narrowing my eyes at the dress, "What you don't like it?" Jungkook looked at the dress then to me. I shook my head, "No I love it but, isn't the theme color red? The dress is.... white."
Jungkook stared at the dress and his face started turning red, "Oh heh, I guess I got carried away I forgot, the theme color was red." He rubbed the back of his head, "I'll look for a red dress then." I chuckled at his mistake as he left. I sat on the bench waiting again.
"How about this one?" He came back with another mid thigh dress, and red this time. "I don't like the one strap," I scrunched my face disapprovingly. Jungkook sighed, "Why are you so picky?" He mumbled softly, "What was that?" I said louder, "Nothing!" Jungkook yelled back finding another dress, I chuckled and sat patiently.
"I am crossing my fingers and begging in my head, that you will love this dress." Jungkook had his hands behind his back, begging for mercy that I will accept this dress. "Well you have to show it to me first," I crossed my legs, Jungkook prayed a little with his eyes tightly closed. He took the dress out in front of him. I stared at the dress in awe, speechless. "You don't like it," Jungkook said quietly and flatly.
"No, I don't like it," Jungkook growled, putting his arms to his side, and was about to turn around to find another dress. I quickly jumped slipping my arms around his, "I love it," I whispered in his ear. His frown turned upwards into a smile, and hugged my waist from the side, pulling me in as I gasped, "Almost gave me a heartattack," he growled into my ears, his hot breath brushed against the back of my neck and my ear. I giggled lightly, "Try it on," Jungkook handed me the dress as I pulled away into the fitting room.
"Come out when you're done!" Jungkook quickly added before I closed the door locking it behind me with a big smile, as I hugged the red dress against my chest. After trying on the red dress and twirling around in it and taking a full body picture with my phone, I undressed myself into my clothes. Jungkook stood up from his seat once I opened the door, his excited face turned into a confused one. "Where's the dress?" He asked, I smiled a little, "You can't see it yet, you have to wait till dinner on Christmas Eve." I stood in front of him holding the dress that is on the hanger.
His face was straight and only nodded, "Can't wait," he leaned in to whisper so close to my ear, I felt his lips against my earlobe. My body stiffen up, as he took the dress from my hands, "I'll just take this and pay for it," Jungkook smiled and headed to the cash register, with the dress he picked out leaving me in the middle of the store. I blinked a couple of times following him to the cash register.

"So where are we going?" I asked as Jungkook drove us around and day was turning into night. "You have been driving around all day, after shopping at the mall," I stated as I turned to him squinting my eyes at him. "It's a surprise," was all Jungkook said as he signaled to turn right. I pouted and sat back without saying anything. As we drove around, I stared out the window as the sun hid behind the tall buildings, and the dark creeping on the orange salmon sky, one by one the light post lit up.
The car came to a slow stop, "Why'd you stop?" I asked confused. Jungkook smiled and unbuckled his seatbelt turning off the car, "You'll see," he gave a mischievous smile, as he got out of the car. I followed him out the car, my head was covered along with my eyes. I squealed with the sudden darkness lifting up what covered my head was a hat. "Leave it down," Jungkook quickly covered my eyes again, I laughed confusingly and just obeyed Jungkook.
He took both my hands, leading me to somewhere, "Where... are you taking me?" I carefully took babysteps as Jungkook carefully walked. "I told you, it's a surprise," He whispered, "Be careful, I don't want to ah-" my foot slip but was caught in arms that felt muscular through the jacket. Jungkook laughed feeling his breath brush against my lips, "I got you," he repeated a couple times until I regained my balance.
He held me up with one arm as he used the other to lift the hat up. First thing I saw that made me gasp, was the twinkling starlights that hung over us in the ice rink. The rink was outside, the lights hung high over our heads, and being alone with Jungkook by the entrance in his arms, was breathtaking. "You like it?" Jungkook asked quietly, my mouth hung open, "Its beautiful, I love it," I stared at the starlight above us, and I averted my gaze to his eyes, that had the starlights reflecting from his eyes.
"I'm glad you love it," He leaned his forehead against mine, "I love everything you do," I wrapped my arms around his neck as we smiled at each other. "Let's go," Jungkook pulled me but I stopped him, "What's wrong?" He asked looking back at me, "I c-can't skate." I shook my head at him. He stuck his hand out, with a reassuring smile, "I'm here to guide you, if you fall I'm there to pick you up." The twinkling lights flickered in his eyes.
I bit the inside of my mouth, staring back and forth from his face to his hand. I put my trust into Jungkook and gently grabbed his hand taking a small step on the ice rink. I put my other foot in and I was standing on the ice. "Not so bad, you got shoes on you'll be fine." Jungkook said with a chuckle and my face turned red from embarrassment. I forgot I had shoes on, but I got scared for nothing. We skated around hand in hand once.
"Want to try something?" Jungkook asked, "What is it?" I asked holding onto the railing. "Wait." He slid back to the entrance leaving me alone at the ice rink. I look up, you can't really see the actual stars but these lights are the alternative. It's beautiful alone, but with someone you love is more meaningful. "Hey." A feminine voice greeted. "Oh, hi I didn't know you were there?" I smiled.
The woman was pretty, she had long brown curly hair and she had a thick white coat on, a grey scarf, white mittens and earmuffs. "No it's okay, I didn't know it was occupied." We stayed silent, "I'm Hara," she had her arm sticking out over the railing, I skated over to her accepting her hand, "I'm Jongsu," I smiled shaking her hand with my red mitten that had the exact same pattern like hers.
"I like your mittens." I complimented, "Oh thanks, my ex gave it to me." She smiled, "You still wear things your ex gave you?" I asked curious. She put on a sad smile, "Apparently I do, I'm just visiting the places me and my ex went to." I nodded. "So you two came here while you two were dating?" She nodded. "He would take me out to places with him during the winter."
"Jongsu, look what I got for us." I averted my gaze to Jungkook, as he had two pairs of skates in his hand. His smile faded as he stared not at me, but at Hara. I look at the both of them, "Jungkook." She whispers, and Jungkook didn't say anything. Jungkook walked over taking my hand in his, "Let's go Jongsu." He firmly said dragging me out of the ice rink. I turn to look back at Hara, her gaze fell on the ice as she looked sad.
We walked back to the car, and sat inside quietly, Jungkook didn't start the car as he had both hands on the steering wheel. I look at him, so that ex she was talking about is Jungkook. She had the same pattern as my mittens but a different color. The ice rink that they come to is the place we came to, the places that they explored must be the places we went to. I felt my heart break, just when I thought these places that we went to were special. But they were special to another person as well.
I look down at my red mittens. "Are we going to leave?" I asked quietly. Jungkook silently start the vehicle and drove off, "Just drop me home." I said looking out the window, we passed by Rodulf and the snowman and I watched them pass. Jungkook stopped in front of my apartment, as I silently sat in the car. "Thanks for today." I smiled taking the dress that Jungkook bought. I exit out of his car feeling the cold hit my bare hands as I ran into my apartment before Jungkook says anything.
Back in the car Jungkook drove off, thinking of his ex. She did him wrong, going behind his back with his best friend Yugyeom while they were dating. They promised to be strangers when they see each other, Jungkook stopped at a red light sighing resting his head on the head rest. He looked on the passenger seat, already missing Jongsu but something else caught his attention.
The red mittens that belonged to Jongsu.
