Chapter Twenty-Nine: The kiss.

Before you all got nice and comfortable, Tsukishima was sure to tell his brother not to leave his room since they were sleeping, and turned off the lights. You were facing the couch— Yui specifically— and Tsukishima was faced the opposite way to your right.

'Er... What should I say? Is he sleeping?' You thought to yourself, flipping over on your side only to see his back. You were sure the both of them fell asleep until you heard paper, a sound of a page to a book flipping.

Your brow twitched, trying to get a good grasp of the situation. You should've known this is what he meant — getting your hopes up was a bad idea.

"Tsuki, are you awake?" You asked, though you knew the answer to that question. "No," He responded, flipping another page from his book.

"But I could relate a message back to him when he wakes up. What do you want?" He asked, and you giggled. He was very extra, and you never understood why. "Well, ask him if he's doing okay."

"He's doing okay."

You never heard a single page turn from Tsukishima's book as you two conversed— it was an odd way of having fun. "Anything else?" The blonde asked, forcing yourself to think of various amounts of questions.

"Oh," You started, raising the blanket up to your lips. "Does he... have a crush on Yui? I promise I won't tell!" There was nothing but silence, so much silence that your felt your ears begin to ring.

"Sorry for prying, but I'm going to assume that means yes? I understand why you like her and all, I have nothing on her..." You sighed, pulling the huge fabric of softness over your face. "I'll sleep now."

After even more moments of silence, you finally heard something, but it wasn't the sound of paper. It was the sound of someone moving, shuffling closer under the shared blanket.

"(Y/N)," He started. His voice threw you into a blushing mess. It was so soft and comforting, it's like you didn't even need a blanket. His voice was enough to keep you warm. "Look at me please."

After hearing his words, you slowly pulled your eyes over the blanket to glance at what you though was his back. He was a good three inches away from your face, and all you could do was stare into his golden-brown eyes, nearly hypnotized by his handsomeness.

"I know Tsukishima well enough to know he doesn't have feelings for her. In fact, the person he likes is close to you." He said, smirking as your eyes widened. The tension you felt disappeared after you shot up, covering your mouth with your right hand.

"Y-You're... You're gay?! Which one is it?! Don't tell me it's Kai..." You gasped, waiting for a response. He teasingly sat there without replying, amused. Though he decided to once enough was enough.

His hand reached for your wrist, taking ahold of it gently, but his tug was rather rough. "I'm not so sure about that, I think he's heterosexual. Would you like me to prove it?"

"I- Er- Eh- Uh-" You began to stutter after being pulled back down next to the male, though the nervousness you felt made it difficult. "Hm? I can't hear you." He teased even further.

You then shut your eyes and closed your mouth as your lips quivered from embarrassment. It's what you wanted— so did he right? If so, you thought it was better to let it happen.

Tsukishima admired your facial features, feeding off your beauty. It was until he chuckled, the male decided to move away, rolling on his back. "What are you closing your eyes for? I'm not kissing an ugly person like you." He smirked, folding his hands on the back of his neck.

His little insulted killed the whole romantic mood, but you didn't mind. In reality, he really wanted to kiss you and thought you were the most beautiful person alive— which is what you forced yourself to think.

"Wha— that's so embarrassing..." You murmured, pulling the blanket once again over your head, turning away from him. As he stared at the ceiling, Tsukishima moved his leg over, kicking yours. "Hey, are you asleep? I have to tell you something."

You didn't respond, he'd only tease you again.

"It's about you, so I feel like you're the first person that should know before I tell anyone else."

You slowly turned back around, removing the blanket from over your head. "Did Kai tell you one of my secrets...?" You cooed.

"No, but it's something like that." He said, his words gathering all your attention. "Then what is it-"

Oh yes.

Totally happened.

The kiss.

His thumb was gently placed on your bottom lip as Tsukishima leaned in, pressing his pink kissable lips against yours. You were so shocked that you had no reaction, all you could do was stare, and stare, and stare; dumbfounded, yet happy.

The sleepiness that lingered on your facial expression disintegrated. Now, you felt as if all your troubles went away from a single touch with his finger.

After a good ten seconds, he decided to pull away, his thumb that was once on your lip moved to the top of your head, his hand gently patting it.

"That was all, good night."

'Does he really think I can sleep after that?! Oh my gosh I think I'm going to have a heat stroke...!'

Tsukishima went back to emerging himself into his book of fantasies, leaving you to break down on his left.

Despite all the heat rushing throughout your body, it was as if the kiss was a magical spell that put your to sleep. That very night, you dreamt of Tsukishima.

"What do you want?" He groggily asked, rubbing his right eye. "What do you mean, "what do I want?" I'm checking up on you, it's been a few days." You smiled, holding out the freshly made bento box you prepared at Tsukishima's home.

Speaking off which, he was right by your side, crossing his arms. It was obvious he didn't want to be there— you forced him to tag along.

Kairi glanced at the male standing next to you, swatting away the box of food. You blinked your eyelashes, gazing at the food you took time out of your day to make. And his words were as cold as the glare he was sending at you, it was like he was a different person.

"I don't want that shit. And next time you come here, bring only yourself. I don't need your little boyfriend tagging along." He scowled, slamming the door behind him.

"Oh." You kneeled down to pick up the boxes that met the concrete, the bright light your someone going out, scraping up the bits of rice back into the box.

"Sorry, I guess he's grumpy today... I should've called before visiting him. I'm kinda upset he did all this..." You sighed. After getting up most of it, you stood back up, putting all of it away.

Tsukishima stood there silently, glancing from you and his door from time to time. After analyzing the situation, he turned on his heel, tossing his hands on his head. "Told you this was a bad idea."
