Chapter Twenty-Four: Ring
"Why are you here....?" The tall male lazily scratched the back of his head, rubbing his right eye afterwards. "Well you did say you needed arcade money and said you weren't doing anything. So I'm dragging you out to play games with me." The female smiled with her arms tossed behind her back.
Tsukishima stayed quiet for a while before nonchalantly closing the door. But being the persistent girl that she is, Yui kicked a foot between his door and the frame. "You really don't plan on leaving me alone do you?" He asked, Yui shook her head in response.
The male sighed and pulled open the door, moving off to the side. "Wait inside as I get ready. And what ever you do, do not talk to my brother. Got it?"
"Oh, you have a brother? I didn't know. But I won't, promise!" With that, the girl skipped inside his home, glancing around. It was nice and elegant, but sort of small. There weren't any stairs, just a lot of space and rooms. A head with brownish hair peeked up from a behind a book, his brown eyes sparkling.
"Kei... is that a girl?!" The older male asked, standing up from his comfortable chair. Tsukishima hurried and rushed to his room, but his voice frightened Yui. "U-Uh, Yes?" She replied.
"And you're cute too! I was thinking my younger brother was gay!" He smiled, placing his hands on his hips. She choked into laughter, shaking her head. "I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be liking him if he w—" Yui then covered her mouth, looking away.
"Oh? So you aren't his girlfriend then? You seem like his type. But then again, it's hard to tell." He snickered. Yui's blush became more pronounced as she stared back at him.
Tsukishima was taller than him with dirty blonde hair. Though he does have broad shoulders and looked heavier.
"Also what's your name?" His brother asked, she politely answered. "I'm Yui Masaie. Who are you though, if I may? Tsuki never mentioned having an older brother..." She said, raising a hand to her bottom lip. "Ah! Right! How rude of me, I'm sorry."
He had a blush on his face, maybe because he was talking to such a hot girl. "My name is Akiteru. Call me Aki— call me Teru— don't care. Just as long as it's respectful."
She clapped her hands together with a shine in her eyes, excited to call him by his nickname. "Teru is such a cute name! I love it!"
"Oh you do? Well, that's a first..." He chuckled, rubbing the back of his head. It wasn't long until Tsukishima came out of his room fully dressed with his glasses on, shutting the door behind him. "Alright, I'm ready, let's go."
"Awe, I was just getting to know her... why don't you two stay for a while longer?" He pouted, which made his brother turn around with a sadistic grin. "Why don't you go flirt with those girls you were gawking at when we were at the mall.~" His jaw dropped after hearing his younger brother's words, Yui giggled in the back. "Anyway, c'mon." Then, he grabbed her by the arm, pulling her out the door.
The blue haired female stared up at the back of his head, feeling as if the world around her was moving in slow motion. She wanted to stay like this forever.
But once he made it past the door, he released her, and locked the door afterwards. "You broke your promise." He groggily spoke, Yui held her arm. "Sorry, I got carried away. I didn't think you had an older brother."
"Well, now he's going to talk off my ear about you— which I'm not looking forward to." Yui giggled, and he raised a brow. "What's so funny?" He asked, causing her to laugh even more. "Nothing, I just thought that (Y/N) met him first. It's kinda surprising to know I'm the first girl you've brought into your house." She shyly cooed, holding her bag in front of her.
"Oh, I see. Don't feel special though." Tsukishima replied, walking even faster. Eventually they arrived the his favorite arcade, and grabbed a small snack before they went in.
"What game is this?" Yui asked, munching on her sweet bread. "Dodge or die. It's fun, you should try it. Pick up that sword on your side, and all you got to do is dodge and swing." Yui gulped, picking up the plastic sword. "Sounds scary, but alright..."
Once he'd insert the coins, Tsukishima slid on his grey headphones, ready to fight. This went on for hours, Yui was actually getting a hang of it. "I— I just killed someone!" She shouted, frantically tapping the other. He removed a headphone from over his ear, chuckling. "We literally just finished the game... wow you're really bad."
She glanced back at the screen, then back at him, dropping her jaw. "Wha— really?! I wanna try another round!" She demanded, slipping more metal into the machine. "Yes ma'am."

"What is this?" You asked, staring at the shining metal. It was really pretty; decorated in gold and a small diamond on top, something you never thought you'd ever receive.
"It's a ring. It's nice isn't it?" Kairi smiled with his hands on his hips, watching your reaction. "It is... but why are you giving me this?" He shrugged his shoulders, his lips cracking into a kind smile. "When I saw it, I thought of you so I decided to buy it."
"Oh, I see...~" You said, hesitant to put it on. With a blink of an eye, Kairi's hand was touching yours, taking the ring from your other hand. He then gently slid it on your ring finger, pulling away. "Oh, it looks good on you! You should keep it." He smiled, your cheeks tinted pink.
"This doesn't mean I have to pay you back, does it?" You hissed, glared at him with your hand pulled towards your chest, hugging it.
Kairi shook his head, crossing his arms. "I'm rich, why would you have to pay me back? I can afford anything, really." He smugly grinned, and you clicked your teeth in response. "Anyway, my mom is probably wondering where I am, so I'm gonna check in real quick. I'll see you soon!" You smiled, turning away with a wave.
He nodded his head, waving also. "Okay honey boo, be safe!~" You giggled slightly at his words, looking down at the ring on your finger. 'I really cant accept this... I'll have to give it back to him some day.' You thought, facing forward afterwards.

"Whoa, you're a prodigy. You almost reached my high score." By almost, Tsukishima meant no where near, and Yui seemed to believe it. "W-Well I am good at everything I do, of course. So I'm not surprised I'm also good at a stupid video game." He was smirking, feeding off every word she said.
"Uh-huh. Let's go grab something to drink, you could use it from all the hard work you've been doing." He stated sarcastically, Yui agreed.
Soon they found vending machine, along with a special guest standing there. You were that special guest. You turned around, cracking open the can of cold coffee. The ring on your finger was the first thing they saw, then their eyes averted to the can you dropped on the concrete.
"What's... this?"
