Chapter Three: Unconsious...
After that, Tsukishima and yourself walked in silence the whole time. Either you were to nervous and timid to say something, or he was still flat out ignoring you. He isn't all that mean as you thought he was, since he took the time out his day to take you shopping and home afterwards, like a little date. When Tsukishima offered the scarf, he instantly took it back, for some odd reason you couldn't really think of.
You began to brush your nice, beautiful hair anyone could fall in love with, a faint pink of on your cheeks.
"Hey, come downstairs! Kaito's here to held you run some errands!" Your mom shouted, snapping you out of your dreaming. "Alright, be there in a second!" Placing your brush on your desk, you threw on a sweater, debating on telling him as you ran down stairs.
"You plannin' on sleeping in all day or somethin'?" The male started. He wasn't wearing his mask, which was the first thing you noticed. "Uh, Kai... Your mask thing, where is it?" You asked.
His silver irises made its way over to your home's plate name, scratching his cheek. "Well, It needed washing is all." He then made contact with your eyes again, flashing you a small smile. "So, should we get going? I don't want your mom to shout at me again."
"Gosh, that was cute." Is what you wanted to say, but you didn't. As he began to start walking, you followed after him, walking side by side. "I like you better without your mask. It's easier to approach you, Y'know. Plus your smile shouldn't be hidden, it's like medicine."
The blush on his cheeks was visible, it was the first thing that stood out. Who knew a guy as hard as him embarrassed so easily. "S-Shut up, idiot."
"I'm the I, you're the -diot. So we're both pretty much idiots." For some reason, that also triggered him, making his blush more pronounced. "So cheesy. Just shut up and keep walking."
"Wha~? You don't like my horrible teasing?" You asked, Kaito sending you a glare with that cute blush still on his face. "Where are we going again?" He asked, completely brushing off your question.
"Oh, right. My mom wants us to run to the grocery store to buy ingredients for the food she's preparing tonight. Even though I'm not going to be be home the day of the Christmas party, I guess she still wants to celebrate with her boyfriend."
"Boyfriend? I thought your mom was married." Kaito's response made your heart pump full of anxiety, staring at the white paper with listed with all the ingredients your mom needs. "Ya, about that— My mom found out he was having an affair with another woman, so she divorced him."
You could tell Kaito was at a lost for words because of the long pause that brewed up, and you were okay with it. Even though you weren't expecting an answer, he gave you one— Well tried to anyway. "Hey, listen..."
Kaito was then interrupted by the gasp you let out, watching your whole expression change. He turned to the certain figure you were eyeing, watching as you approached him. "Hey, Tsuki! I didn't know you shop!" You teased, Kaito following after you.
Tsukishima removed his headphones from over his ears, glancing at both you and Kaito. "Shouldn't you be paying more attention to your boyfriend instead of running to me?" He sighed, walking inside the grocery store.
"Boyfriend? Kai's just a childhood friend! It's not like we like each other or anything, so don't get the wrong idea..."
"We don't like each other either, and I honestly don't plan on hooking up with an annoying girl like you." Tsukishima growled, Kaito raising his voice. "Oi! Why are you getting all hostile towards (Y/N)?! If you don't like her then say it in a nicer way, before my fist end up breakin' somethin'!" You had to hold Kaito back a bit just in case he decided to actually attack Tsukishima, but the male just shrugged it off.
"I don't have time for this..." He muttered, going back to his world of music as he walked into the store. "Kai... That was too extra. It's fine, I'm fine. Stop making a fuss about it." You said, Kaito clicking his teeth.
"Come on, let's get this over with." When it came to Tsukishima, Kaito seemed very on-edge and short tempered, you wondered why that is. "Right..." After storming off into the store, he whispered you to stay close, and to always be by his side. Basically you were like a dog on a leash— If you obeyed you got dessert afterwards.
After running errands all day, the sun went down as soon as you both left a small cafe. "I love that cafe~ The pastries are so delicious~!" Your cheeks were still painted a faint red from the blush of delight, leaving Kaito chuckling.
"What's so funny? Is there something on my face?" You asked, watching his index finger inch towards your forehead. "Yeah, it's been there since you were born." He smiled, your cheeks puffing up and you arrived to your home.
There was always this dog your neighbors had, always barking whenever someone was walking down your street. You and Kaito nicknamed him Lau, and no matter how many times he sees Kaito he barks. Maybe he's only like that towards males. "Well, this is the end of our adventure, I'll see you tomorrow (Y/N)."
You nodded, rubbing your arms for warmth. "Mhm! Night!" He then turned his back away from you, trailing into the darkness headed for his home. You found yourself walking to yours as well, leaving your shoes near the door. "Mom! I'm home with the things you wanted!" You shouted, setting them on the table to head for the shower.
After cleaning yourself up and feeling conflicted inside, you found yourself wrapped up in a pink towel, changing into your nightwear.
It wasn't long before you heard the barking of the neighbors dog.
"What the... He's still out this late?" You mumbled, dragging your feet towards your window, opening it.
As you shouted, you dried your hair with a hand towel. "Kaito why aren't you home!-"
You watched as his eyes glanced up at yours with an apathetic shine to them, doing nothing but staring at each other.
It didnt feel like a coincidence either, it felt like fate. As the stars in the night sky reflected a memorizing glow off your healthy hair, the blonde soon turning his head. "I have to go." He stated, walking off as if nothing happened. "W-Wait! Hold on!"
That was definitely a moment. A special moment that seemed to last forever.
You shuffled your feet into your comfortable bedroom shoes, jolting towards downstairs and swung open the door. Surprisingly Tsukishima was still there waiting for you, only to watch you bow right in front of him.
"I'm sorry about the way Kaito acted... He really didn't mean any harm." You spoke, though Tsukishima was giving you the silent treatment. "I hope that whole scene didn't alter your decision about going to the Christmas party, I was really hoping to see you there..."
You could hear the sigh of cold air he let out, his hands clenched onto the bag he was holding rather tightly. "Alter?" He scoffed. "You have to be kidding me. Why would I ever... Attend something as stupid as that...?"
Your head was still lowered, seeing his feet inch towards you. For some reason, he lost his balance, and you found it body laying on the cold concrete.
"T-Tsuki!" You called out, falling on your knees to smack his cheek. You then moved two fingers on his neck, checking for a pulse. With a relieved sigh, you spoke. "He's not dead— Just unconscious..."
