Chapter Thirteen: I was trying to kiss you.

"Has Kair— I mean Mr. Ikezawa come home yet?"

Their mother shook her head, speaking. "I thought you knew Kairi doesn't stay with us anymore, didn't Kaito tell you?" You jumped back, stuttering.

"W-What? I walked him here one night since he got lost, he never told me he lived somewhere else..."

"Well he does, and no need to call him Mr. Ikezawa out of school. We're practically family (Y/N)!" Mrs. Yusa laughed, inviting you inside.

"I'll write down his address, it isn't too far from here." You awkwardly walked in, glancing around the place. It's been a while since you walked in their home. "Oh, thank you very much!"

"No problem." She hummed, writing down the address on the small squared sticky note. "And would you be a doll and take him his dinner? All he eats is take out, so I'm worried out him."

Your raised a hand to your forehead, saluting her. "Yes ma'am, I won't let you down!" Yusa chuckled, handing you the sticky before walking into the kitchen.

The bento box she handed to you was wrapped in a blue cloth decorated with moons and stars, it reminded you of Tsukishima.

"Here you go, hurry before it gets cold." You stumbled as she said this, hurrying out the door. "Oh, right! I'll see you Mrs. Yusa!" And with that, you left the Ikezawa's wandering off.

Higashi Azabu block 8... Apt. B, why doesn't he live in a house?" You asked yourself, glimpsing around occasionally.

The walk wasn't a short one, but wasn't long either. You glanced up at the building, beginning to head up the stairs.

"Finally!" You sighed in relief, knocking on the door. It took a while before someone arrived, you made sure it was the right apartment. "Who is it!" Kairi shouted, and you answered.

"It's (Y/N)! I've brought you your mom's dinner, and I have a question to ask!" He instantly opened the door, clearing his throat. "Hey cutie, what question did you have to ask?"

The raspiness in his voice, that stuffed nose, and the redness on his cheeks told all too much. "Are you sick?" You asked bluntly, but he denied it.

"Sick? Nah, I have students to teach." After he said this, a sneeze cane flying out his nose along with some snot. You shook your head, inviting yourself in.

"I'll find you some medicine and heat up your food, you also need a cold cloth." You removed your shoes near the door, setting down your things.

"I don't even have a fe—" You touched his forehead before he could finish, feeling nothing but heat. "Liar, just let me help you for once..."

His grin irritated you, which is why you loved your hand away, dragging him by his arm. The place was small, but big enough where two people could make a living in.

You forced him into his bed, throwing him a book you found on his coffee table. "Entertain yourself as I get things ready, then I'll tell you why I'm here."

You disliked being strict but you had to be or else he wouldn't listen to you at all. Kairi rolled on his side, resting his head on his palm. "You'd make a good wife, you know that~?" He snickered, waiting for some reaction out of you.

Since you were faced towards the sink, he was unable to see the faint blush on your cheeks. "Shut up..." You whispered, tossing his food into the microwave. After it started to beep, you picked the container up by its edges, walking over to him.

"I'm glad Yusa made you Miso Soup... Maybe she was prepared for this?" You said out loud, Kairi raising a brow.

"You sure it was very smart of you to come here alone?" His smug grin made you shove a spoon full of soup in his mouth. "You're sick, you won't try anything— right?" The stubbornness in your voice faded, genuinely curious.

"Well who knows, just keep feeding me, I'm hungry." He demanded, opening his mouth. You sighed, giving him another spoonful of soup.

After feeding him, you took the empty bowls to the sink, putting them down. Before you left, you were sure to make him a cold glass of water. "Take these pills."

He was hesitant to open his mouth which you found funny, Kairi doesn't like medicine just as much as his brother. You tipped the cup against his lips carefully, watching as the liquid slipped into his mouth. Once he got a good amount, you pulled away, letting him to do own thing.

"Okay, one last thing then I'm done here..." You placed the cold nicely folded cloth on his forehead, sighing in relief. Finally done babysitting. "Okay, so." You began, pulling out your phone.

"Are you the one sending me these creepy emails?" You asked as you faced him the phone, watching as he eyed you. "Does it look like I talk like that? And why would I go so far as to sending you creepy messages when I could take you anytime~" He winked.

You shoved the phone even closer to his face, attempting to get him to confess. "Don't lie to me, you're the only one who'd do such a thing!"

He sought this as the perfect moment to grab you by the wrist, pulling you under him. Surprisingly, he was gentle, the cold cloth you sat on his forehead fell on yours. "And what if it was me? I wouldn't let my prey slip out of my trap that easily."

His actions caught you by surprise, staring deep into his eyes. They glowed of loneliness, nearly calling out to you. After staying silent for a while, you parted your lips, speaking. "Well it's worth it. I doubt you'd lock me in here anyway, so that doesn't matter..."

He raised a brow, leaning in closer. "You don't really know me, so how can you say that?"

"And you don't really know me, so why are you pretending to like me?" You asked, looking up at the attractive male.

"You really think I know nothing about you? I've been living with my little bro since he was born."

"And? It's not like we spoke much." You replied, looking off to the side. "But it's also not like I'm not Kaito's older brother. Look, I've had a crush on you ever since we were kids, that cute smile of yours and stubborn personality is something to love. It's obvious To-in has a thing for you, so—"

Covering his mouth, you watched the pink rush to his cheeks, brightening his face. "W-Wait what?" He probably realized he accidentally confessed.

"You're talking nonsense, you're sick..." As you sat up, he shook his head, narrowing his eyes. "Why aren't you believing me...?" He asked, forcing you back down. The sweet, energetic tone in his voice and that flirtatious smile was gone. It was like he was a different person.

"...I don't know, this position is awkward, please move..." You whispered, turning your head away once again. His warm hand cupped your chin, forcing your eyes back on his.

"I'll have to show you then..." His words made your heart race, your eyes widening has he moved closer by the second. Right when your lips were about to touch, you shoved him away, stumbling back onto the wooden floor underneath you.

With your hand on your chest and a blushed expression, you faintly exhaled. "W-What were you planning on doing?!" You shouted in question, watching as he leaned onto the grey wall behind him, pushing back his blonde locks.

"Well, isn't it obvious? I trying to kiss you."

His lips curled into a smile full of spirit, snickering. "I hope you know I was only kidding, babe! I was acting out a scene in my next movie, it happened to turn out well." He chuckled, pulling his blanket back over him.

"Well anyway, you should get going. I'm feeling better so you don't have to worry anymore. I'll see you tomorrow." With that being said, Kairi waved, which is why you stood up grabbing your things.

"Oh, well then I guess it's okay... Just ask next time, alright! You really startled me..." You responded, walking towards the door. "Are you really not the one sending me those emails, Kairi...?"

"No, I'm not. I wouldn't waste my time doing something as stupid as that..." He groaned, waiting for you to leave.

"Well, I believe you. For now anyway." You giggled, opening the door. "See you tomorrow, and— don't call me babe."

As he heard the sound of the metal closing, Kairi but down on his lip, swearing under his breath.

"Dammit!"
