Chapter Sixteen: My love.

You rushed back over to Kairi's apartment, glad you weren't too far down the stairs.

"Kairi!" You shouted, placing your hand on the door's handle, forcing the door open. "Kai..." The light in your eyes faded, and you tripped, your back resting against the cold metal railings that led up the stairs.

"What..." You whispered, watching as the female pulled the knife out of his stomach, thrusting it back in as if the first three stabs wasn't enough.

A red liquid leaked out his skin, spreading across the wooden floor beneath him. After digging the blade into him the forth time, the woman stood up from sitting on his lap, dropping the knife.

"(Y/N)..." She cooed, slowly making her way towards you. Her eyes were filled with lust and satisfaction, shifting her weight over your trembling body.

"He's out of the way now, I can have you all to myself...~" Her soft bloody pale hand cupped your cheek, inching closer every second.

You thought back to the spam that flooded your inbox, parting your quaking lips. "...I-I.." You stuttered, unsure of what movement to make.

"I did this all for you, now will you love me?" Her eyes were as dark as they could get; cold, yet lonely. After sitting there speechless for about five minutes, you shoved her away, using the railings to help you escape.

'Kairi... Just wait some, I promise I'll come back!' You thought, your eyes shut tightly as you dashed down the stairs.

The professor looked disappointed, standing up to dust herself off. Slowly, she followed you, at her own pace.

The phone you frantically pulled out your bag slipped out your hand, your hand instantly reached out for it before it could get far.

Who should you call? Who did you know would answer the minute they saw your name on their screen? Who would help? The answer was clear, thought you juggled between the two. Still, you called him anyway.

Cutting a corner and stopping near a crosswalk, you bit down on you lip, looking every which way as the phone rung in your ear. It took a while before someone answered.

"Hello?"

You've never missed hearing someone's voice this much, you wanted to cry. "H-Hello? Tsuki? Where are you?"

"Why? Is everything okay?" You calmed yourself, there was no use in freaking out. "Our substitute Professor Dark— I think she just killed Kairi."

There was a long pause of silence before he sighed, hearing the cars on the road zoom past him on the other end. "Then why are you calling me? Did you at least call the cops first?" He asked.

You choked, shaking your head. "N-No, I didn't, not yet anyway... But please come find me, I think the professor is searching for me. I'll tell you the details later!"

You hung up after that, following the crowd once the light turned green. He had a good point, you should've called the police first, so you did so after sending Tsukishima your location and Kairi's.

"Um, hello? I wanted to report a murder—"

You went on about what you've witnessed at Kairi's home, occasionally glancing around to see if you saw the woman. Still, there was no sign of her, and so you let out a relieved sigh.

"Okay, thank you very much sir." You responded, closing your phone after they hung up. Now all you had to do was wait.

"I wonder what Kai will think... Maybe I should tell him about it..." You told yourself, wincing at your phone. "I wonder how sad he'll be..."

"...I

Found...

You...~"

You shot your head up, turning your head to the voice. You couldn't see her, she was blending in too well with the others surrounding you. But that bloody white lab coat and dark eyes stood out too much, and no one noticed.

You stepped back before calmly turning around, speed-walking away. You couldn't go too far, or you would have to give Tsukishima an update on your location. 'He'll be here soon, I'm sure he will!' You thought, biting down on the nail on your thumb nervously.

The professor was still following behind you at the same pace, her hand tucked into the pockets of her coat. The smile on her face was creepier than the humming she was doing.

As soon as you reached a corner, you turned around to see if she was still following, but saw no sign of her. This relieved you, but you were afraid to glance back forward again. With a gulp, you slowly began to turn yourself around, your eyes tightly shut.

"I found you..."

You felt a cold hand touch your wrist, raising up your fist. "D-Don't touch me!" You shouted, tossing your balled up fist at the other.

"What are you doing?" The male asked after catching your fist, sighing. "Don't tell me you've got my touch and voice confused with that psycho's. I'm actually offended." You must've been too afraid to recognize his voice, but now that you did you felt bad.

"T-Tsuki! Oh gosh, I'm so sorry!" You immediately pulled your hand away, your eyes averted right. "Her touch was as cold as yours, so..."

"Love, what are you doing talking to other guys?" Said a feminine voice, you already knew who it was without turning around. "Tsuki... We should run..." You whispered, pinching into his sleeve, tugging on the fabric.

"Love? Last night time I checked with annoying little thing didn't have a girlfriend who's older than she looks." Tsukishima smirked, ignoring you. Your jaw dropped, the short amount of tugging you were doing increased.

"Tsuki! She'll kill you, are you not listening to me?!" He obviously wasn't, and the professor was ticked off.

"Excuse me?..." Her head tilted to the side, a small tick coming from her pocket. Tsukishima glanced down along with yourself, and he crossed his arms.

"You heard me. Plus, there's no chance in hell she'd fall in love with you since she's head over heels for me~" He smirked, the woman gritting her teeth.

A blush painted your cheeks after feeling his touch, watching the male with spectacles move even closer.

"(Y/N), let's show her, shall we?" You could tell he was only digging in her skin, but it was still embarrassing.

"Enough." She growled, another click coming from her pocket. As he expected, she pulled out a box cutter, lounging towards you and Tsukishima. He pulled you over, and lights flashed behind the two of you.

"You're under arrest for attempted murder and assault." You never thought it'd be that nice hearing those words. The woman stepped back, her eyes widened and quaking. "Wh-What is this?!" She shouted with the obvious fear in her voice.

Turning around, she dropped the cutter and dashed towards the crowd, but another unit of policeman stopped her in her tracks. "There's no use running, our forces are stationed all over the city." The man said, holding up his rifle.

He then gestured for one to cuff her down, and he did so. The professor gave in, a little too easily.

"Thanks for calling us sir, she's been loose for years now, I'm glad we finally found her." The old man chuckled, and Tsukishima released you. "No problem."

"How'd you know she'd attack us like that...?" You asked. His hand moved down to pat your head, and smug grin on his features. "Well don't forget, I'm way smarter than you."

"Wha— not true! We're equally as smart!"

The both of you began to argue back and forth, until the officer finally spoke. "It's gettin' late, I could give the both of you a ride home if you'd like." He kindly offered.

"Oh sure, that'd be gre—"

"No thanks, we live pretty far from here. I got to take her somewhere anyway." He said with a shake of his head. The officer scratched the back of his head, sighing.

"Alright... make sure this beautiful lady makes it back home safe." Tsukishima bowed his head, and responded. "I was already doing so, but I will."

As they stuffed Professor Dark in the back seat, she began to whisper. Her eyes were glued to the floor with her arms behind her back.

"My love..."

"My love..."

"My love."
