Chapter Fifteen: "PLEASE, HELP ME!"
"Hello? I brought you something to eat..."

"Our substitute teacher seems to really like you, but I'm surprised you never told anyone about your relationship with her. She's really pretty and smart! Still, it's not the same without you..."

You've been standing outside Kairi's door for a good five minutes, waiting for him to open up. You were going to stay outside all night if you had to.
"Kairi, listen, I um." You started, scratching your cheek. "I don't really know why Kai tells me to stay away from you, and that you're a bad person. You obviously care about him and the rest of us, so you should talk to him... Everyone's waiting for you to get better soon, so please come back as soon as you—"
The door finally opened, though just by a tiny bit. You looked up at the tall figure, your lips tugging into a smile. "Kairi! I'm glad you decided to..."
"Get lost." He growled, shutting the door once again. His back leaned against the metal, listening for any footsteps. You still weren't gone.
"I won't leave until you let me in and speak to me. Also eat this soup I got, it'll take that cold down in seconds!"
Once again, he opened the door, staring you up and down for a while. "What relationship...? With who?"
"Professor Dark, Y'know the lady with purple hair and eyes? She wears a white lab coat with glasses, and she's also kinda pale. She said you two are getting married soon." You informed him. Kairi then pulled you inside, closing and locking the door behind you.
"I don't know her, now where's the food?" He asked, you placed a hand on his forehead as he did. "You don't have a fever anymore, so why weren't you teaching?! You had me worried for nothing..." You huffed, turning away.
"This was a huge waste of time, I'm..."
The blonde wrapped his arms around you tightly, stuffing his face on your shoulder after you faced the door.
"(Y/N)... I— can't stand this anymore..." He spoke, his arms around you tightened. You could hear the quaking in his voice, it almost sounded as if he wanted to cry.
"Wh- What are you talking about...? Is everything okay?" You asked, struggling to turn around.
"I want to be happy too.., I want you all to myself..." The monotone in his voice frightened you, but you understood the feeling.
"Find someone you want to be with, then you'll be happy." You said after a long pause, still unsure of what else to say.
"I already did..." He bluntly stated.
You're digging you're own grave.
"Kairi— I..."
Knock.
Knock.
Knock.
You were soon interrupted by a knock at the door. He kept his tight grip around you, shaking his head. "Don't open it."
"Why not?" You asked, struggling in his arms. "Because it's my house, and I don't want you to." You clicked your teeth, pushing his arms away. "You're acting strange, Kairi..."
Knock.
Knock.
Knock.
The person on the other end clearly heard your conversation with him, and the knocking on the door grew louder. It sent chills down your spine, reaching for the door hesitantly. "It's probably Kai."
"No."
You stopped, turning around to blink at him. "What do you mean? Here, I'll call him and ask—"
As you pulled out your phone, Kairi was quick to grab it, smashing it in pieces. Your jaw dropped, managing not to land a hand on his cheek.
"Wh- Why would you do that?! Now I have to get another one! I'm tired of the way you're acting right now Kairi! What happened to the flirtatious and happy you I've known for years now?!"
His blonde locks of hair tumbled over his blue eyes that was barely even visible, the male then staggered towards you.
His arms wrapped around your warm body once more, his hand motioning in circles on your back.
"You wouldn't like hanging around me, would you? If this was my true self." He said, his other hand moving to your hair.
You felt his cold fingertips tangle in your hair, and he eventually brung it up to his nose, sniffing. You were too startled to speak, though your lips were parted.
"Ah... Your hair smells so good... I really wish I had you all to myself..."
KNOCK.
KNOCK.
KNOCK.
Your adrenaline started pumping, and you felt your cheeks redden. Who knew such creepy compliments made you feel this way.
"Kai—"
"Have you heard that saying, age is just a number? Surely you believe that too, right?"
Your heart dropped to your feet, shaking in your boots. What he said reminded you of the spam you received a while back.
"Kairi I have to go... it's getting late and—"
You couldn't ignore the banging on the door even if you wanted to, but he somehow could. "(Y/N), you're perfect, and you drive me insane. I can't ever get you out my head, and I dislike this feeling. I will kill for you, I will love you if you give me the chance..."
He grunted, obviously startled by the person who broke into his home. "Kai!" You called out, breaking free of Kairi's grasp to run to, "him".
"Your brother was creeping me out, please tell me this..." You nearly threw yourself at the woman you mistaken for Kaito. "Is a joke...? You're not Kai..." You muttered, the woman pushing you out the way.
"Miss (L/N), I did tell you I was coming here correct?" She asked, her heels clacking on the wooden floor as she approached the blonde with blue eyes.
Kairi stumbled back, watching as she dug into her black purse. "And I did tell you not to get in our way... correct?" She added, her back faced towards you.
You nodded, grabbing your things. "I guess it was stupid of me to come here, I'm sorry for ruining things between you two." You bowed, turning away.
You headed out the door with a long sigh. That whole scene was completely your fault, you should've just stayed away. Slowly, you closed the door after you, though your ears twitched to a sudden shout.
"PLEASE, HELP ME!"
