Months Later with the Yagis

First Person POV, Izuku

It has been awhile since Kacchan and I've last seen my twin sister. Ever since we were little when she was deemed Quirkless, Kacchan and I came up with an idea to keep her safe from becoming a hero. You can't be a hero without a Quirk after all, Dad had told me so. But I know how Izumi is stubborn, so Kacchan suggested we hurt her with our Quirks so we can make her fear them so she won't try to become a hero. I didn't want to at first, but Kacchan claimed it was for her own good and talking to her does nothing as she never responds to either of us. So we had to use physical force.

Nowadays, she doesn't respond to any of it. We punch, kick, and even threw rocks at her, but still nothing. She also disappears off and on, not appearing at the house for weeks on end. Kacchan and I haven't seen her for six months now. I've been training with Dad to receive One For All while Kacchan got himself ready to attend the entrance exams at UA. We plan to aim for the Hero Course naturally. The only question is, what will Nee-chan be doing? She said that she won't be going, but could she be lying? Even if she is or not, what does she plan to do? No matter how much I try to find out, I don't have a single clue to what she is intending to do after middle school graduation.

Kacchan was getting increasingly frustrated; both at the lack of information and the lack of response from Izumi. I know he has a crush on her, but she had shown no signs of returning her feelings. Which could be bad news for her as Mom and Dad want to have her in an arranged marriage with him. If she doesn't marry him, then he won't become my brother-in-law. So I hope she hurries up and accepts him. He really does care about her. Even if she doesn't see it now she will. Surely she'll see all that we did was to keep her safe, and she'll forgive us. I have no doubt she will forgive us.

It had been six months since our graduation, and, oddly enough, I haven't seen her since then. I think Kacchan and I might have went too far when we confronted her back in school that day. I was shocked at what I and Kacchan said to her. I mean, we only wanted her to be safe, since being a Quirkless hero is not only impossible, but very dangerous. But I said some very bad things. So did Kacchan.... and Mom and Dad haven't really been asking for her to join us in family events. They think she is in her room all the time, even nobody really checks her room to confirm; we just assume she stays there.

But now she hasn't made an appearance for over six months. I haven't had a good look at her since we were around ten years old, I think. We started bullying her when we turned five, and I think that was when she began to ignore us, and no matter what we did to her, she just won't respond. She even cut ties with everyone of us, and she's hardly seen around the house. Which is probably how Mom and Dad forgot she existed.

Kacchan and I have been asking around town, but nobody has seen her. We even tried checking out the parks and public areas she liked to frequent, but no dice. This was beginning to worry me and Kacchan. What if she was kidnapped? Or worse, killed?!

I checked her room when I got home. My eyes widen at the bare room. The only sign there was any sort of life were the dark red spatters on the carpet. Only a ratty towel was on the floor, along with a mattress that looked like it was dragged out of the dump was on the floor. Walking inside, the air smelled stale and rusty, like blood. Gulping, I investigated the room, hoping for a clue. My foot brushed against something that crinkled, making me look down. There was a folded piece of paper. I picked it up, before I unfolded it, reading the contents. I felt the blood drain from my face as read it all the way to the end.

Oh no.....

Now there is no other way around this...

I quickly hid the note; if anyone finds out it could mean my and Kacchan's futures as heroes being put on the chopping block, not to mention Mom and Dad will be in trouble with everyone, and that won't look good for us, especially if we get barred from entering UA.

We had no choice but to bring our families into this.

"Mom! Dad!" I yelled out as I ran down the stairs.

"Yes, son, what is it?" Dad said, folding the newspaper he was reading into his lap.

"What's the matter, my dear child?" Mom asked.

I began to tear up. "W-We're the worst family ever!"

"Whatever do you, mean son?" Dad asked. "Our family is perfect! Nothing is wrong with us."

"Y-yes we are!" I sobbed, my body shaking, "W-we have forgotten about Izumi!"

"What do you mean?" Dad said. "She just holes up in her room. Whenever she decides to be part of the family then she can join us and-"

"No you don't get it!" I shook my head. "She ran away!"

That made Dad jump to his feet, and Mom to come out of then kitchen, both of them alarmed.

"What?" Mom asked.

"Are you sure, son?" Dad asked.

I nodded, tears falling from my face. "She's... she's not in her room..."

They both ran upstairs to check, only to come back down minutes later, coming to the realization that she was gone.

After they finished searching the house, Dad called the police, and it wasn't long before there was a loud banging at the door. Mom, in a daze, went to answer it. Opening it, we were surprised to see not only Kacchan and his family, but also Detective Naomasa and our aunts and uncles. Even Grandpa was here. And they were not happy.

The police and some of our aunts and uncles were helping with investigating to find clues to where my sister went.

"So," Gran Torino spoke up. "Anybody wanna explain why my granddaughter is reported missing? Especially when somebody," he gave Dad the evil-eye, making him visibly sweat, "had recently told me that she was just fine the other week?"

Dad began to stutter, trying to answer him, only to come up empty and try to make excuses.

Recovery Girl, aka Granny, was not having any of it. "I knew something was wrong! I just wished I never listened to you when you kept foolishly lying to me about her being fine! And don't think I didn't notice those bruises on her! She may not have let me look at them, but it doesn't take a genius to figure out something was wrong! I only wished that I have taken her in when I first saw the signs!"

"You have no proof that we were hurting her!" Mom snapped, making me stiffen at her words. Dammit, Mom! That's a dead giveaway!

"Is that so?" We turned around to see Uncle Nedzu, in Uncle Aizawa's scarf, and for once, he was not smiling. "Then care to explain this note we found hidden in her bedroom?"

My blood turned to ice as Nedzu held up the piece of folded paper I found then hid to save our hides.

"What does it say?" Nemuri asked, her eyes watering, she always did like to dote on Izumi... Why did she have to get the relatives' attention? I'm the one that's going to be the next Symbol of Peace, but where's my attention?

Nedzu unfolded it, reading aloud with Uncle Aizawa reading along silently.

"To whomever it may concern,

If it is Inko or Toshinori, aka the egg and sperm donor, reading this, congratulations on FINALLY realizing that I have left this sorry excuse of a household. How long did it take you to find this next to that sad excuse of a bed? Six months? Maybe twelve if I'm lucky enough. Well, either way, don't come looking for me. I got my own life to live, and far away from you sorry excuses for parents. Since I'm doing this, I'm just gonna go ahead and air out everyone's dirty laundry. MAYBE then the police will actually do something about it, but I doubt it as those guys care as much about a Quirkless person as the next one."

Detective Naomasa winced but he didn't deny it aloud. Nedzu continued.

"I might as well get this off my chest because I won't be able to do it again, being that I'm going to be out of your reach, both literally, figuratively, and legally. I became an emancipated minor just before my last year in junior high. I have also been working from the shadows while you guys were milking my brother and his glory to becoming the so-called 'Future Number One Hero.' I hope the aunts and uncles are reading this. Does the moniker "Kitsune" mean anything to you in the hero industry?"

This caused everyone, even Aizawa to freeze.

"Well, let's just say I know them and their gang is everything I ever dreamed of and more! I even got something better than a silly Quirk. And I will not tell you what it is, as none of you have the right to know. Moving on to other important matters, I'm gonna name and shame the ones who have been directly involved with my mistreatment: Bakugo Katsuki and Izuku Midoriya. You are both guilty of not only killing me back when I was ten, but you are also guilty for constant bullying and abuse of varying degrees and forms, ranging from physical to emotional, constantly putting me down, bullying others to keep them from even talking to me, even stealing my lunch and blowing it up to smithereens. As if I wasn't being starved enough. Oh, and did I forget to mention the suicide baiting? Which brings me to the next members of the guilty party: Toshinori and Inko Yagi, both of you are guilty of child abuse and neglect; Granpa you might get a kick out of this (assuming you care, along with the others),"

This caused the others to wince, whether it was out of guilt or not, I don't know. All that really registered was that my sister, my own blood, sold me and Kacchan out. How could she!? She also tattled on Mom and Dad! How dare she betray us! After all that we have done for her! That ungrateful brat!

"- but Daddy dearest has been using me as a punching bag." This caused everyone to gasp in horror and Dad to stiffen. "And that's not all. When they leave the house, I'm always left behind while Izuku gets to have fun, and all I got is a long list of chores that no kid should get. I mean really. Painting the entire house over the weekend? I was only five and you expected me to do the work of an average grown-up? Get real! And when he and Inko found one miniscule detail wrong with anything, guess who gets the punishment? If you said me, then CONGRATULATIONS! You get a cookie. And the punishments aren't a simple slap on the wrist either. More like a literal slap to the face. And not to mention getting punched and tossed around like a ragdoll. How fun is that!"

Everyone, even Bakugo's parents, were glaring holes into us. From the corner of my eye, I could see Bakugo clench his fists into his pants, and I could feel the bloodlust rolling off of him. Like me, he was mad at Mizumi for tattling on us.

"But I'm not done with calling everyone out. All of my aunts, uncles, and grandparents, you are all guilty by proxy." Shock colored Uncle Nedzu's tone as we all looked at him with surprise. "While I understand to an extent that you may have taken my old man's words to heart, you could have at least taken his track record of his irresponsibility into account and at least tried to investigate the matter. And I bet you the net worth of all of your salaries that several red flags have been tripped every time you swung by. I mean, did ANY of you think of actually checking on me yourselves or did you take my old man's word at face value?"

That made everyone hang their heads in guilt. Looks like they aren't being left out in the ass-chewing. "And Aizawa, you should be ashamed of yourself. A lot of those students you expelled in the past few years? Yeah, they got tossed out like garbage by their own families." Aizawa had the decency of looking shocked and a bit guilty. "The ones who did not commit suicide were sold off by their guardians which resulted in them having their Quirks stolen, leaving them wide open and defenseless for the kill by some unscrupulous character, had the Kitsune not stepped in and rescued them. They would have died, become enslaved in some shape or form, or ended up as cannon fodder for those villain gangs that have been popping up as of late. They showed them a new way of life. And let's just say that they hope to show you just how thankful they are to you for ruining their lives. So congratulations, you lazy-ass bastard. You got some hell to pay should any of them cross paths with you. And I won't be helping you out of the ass-kicking you rightfully deserve and more." There was a chill in the air as the words were spoken, Aizawa's eyes were now shadowed.

"Speaking of school. Don't even bother trying to bring me back for the sake of my quote-unquote education. I have been taking online classes and I have taken placement exams where my reading and math levels were on par with college scholars and world-renowned professors. And don't bother with that arranged marriage nonsense. Yeah, I know all about your little scheme to have me married off to Bakugo and I'm not having it. I will not end up like Aunt Rei in Endeavour's so-called family. Yeah, I know all of his dirty secrets, especially that damn Quirk Marriage that none of you made the effort to save her from, and I will be seing to that Aunt Rei and her kids be freed from their prisons as I at least owe Touya-nii and Fuyumi-nee that much, and I'm not one to let kids suffer needlessly, Quirkless or not. But I have more than wasted enough time as it is. You lot are lucky I even bothered leaving behind a single clue after I flew the coop. I despise each and every one of you and I hope you realize how you all have failed as both so-called heroes and as a family. Well, don't bother looking for me. I have a new family and I got four girlfriends (and still counting) that love me more than anything else. And I also got better siblings, and they didn't have to be blood-related for it to work. So you can shove any half-assed apologies right up your ass. I'll never forgive any of you. So you all get to live with this guilt for the rest of your lives. And that's more than enough revenge that I can relish for the rest of my life.

Have a nice life.

NOT.

P.S. My name is not Mizumi, as she along with that name died a long time ago. I have been reborn as Natural Melodia Shirona, aka N, for I am a variable and won't fall to your expectations."

Silence hung in the air like the gallows. I was wallowing in misery and anger. How could she? After everything we have done for her? And she has four girlfriends?! Who would want to be with that emotionless backstabbing bitch?! It's not fair!

"Is this true?" Naomasa spoke, his voice strained yet professional.

There was no way around it. With his lie-detecting Quirk there was no way to get out of answering without getting called out for lying.

"Izuku, you better answer or your punishment is going to be even worse than what it already going to be," Uncle Nedzu spoke, making me freeze and look at him with wide eyes.

"You're the one who blew the whistle on your sister being missing, right? That would mean you found her note first, seeing as she specifically said she laid it next to her, erm, bed. And I found it under her bed. In the middle of her mattress. That's considered obstruction, and that could give you jail time. Unless you are to come clean now and perhaps I could grant you a lighter punishment."

Damn. I could see Kacchan give me a side-eye look that said, "Way to go, you screwed it up." I sighed, before I said the next few words that sealed our fate. "It's true."

Nemuri sank to her knees, covering her face while crying, while Aunt Mitsuki knelt down next to her, holding her shoulders as she sobbed loudly. I felt a sting and my face was suddenly faced left. I looked up to see Melissa, my crush from I-island, looking at me like I was the worst being to come into existence.

"H-how could you do this?! Now we'll never see her again, all because of you!" Melissa was crying. "Why, Izuku! Why?!"

"Melissa, I-!"

"Save it!" She spat at me venomously. "And consider our engagement off!" Her words hit me like a freight train before she continued. "I'm going to go find her and join her side. If she truly found a person who found a way for Quirkless people to be accepted somewhere, I rather follow them to the ends of the earth than any of you Quirkist fools!" Everyone gaped at her.

"Young Melissa-!" Dad tried to speak to her, but she brutally cut him off.

"Save it, Uncle!" She snapped at him viciously. "No, you don't deserve to be called that! I'm cutting you and the rest of your family off!"

She began to stomp off, slamming the door on her way out despite everyone trying to call her back. The house foundation shook at the impact of the door slamming.

Gran Torino and Uncle Mirai (aka Nighteye) gave Dad the most hateful glare.

"Way to go, Yagi. Thanks to you, I lost two nieces." Uncle Mirai spoke in a scathing tone. "Thanks to your hypocrisy, the family is being torn apart."

"Nana would be ashamed of you!" Gran Torino added. "Have you forgotten when you too were Quirkless!" This reveal made me and Kacchan freeze in shock. Dad.... was Quirkless?! There's no way...! "You of all people should know what your kid was going through!" Gran Torino continued. "Yet you have treated her as if she was mere dirt under your feet! You used her as a punching bag of all things! And treated her like a slave if not worse!"

Dad stared at his feet, his sunken face shadowed.

"So what do we do?" Uncle Hizashi asked, his voice low for once.

"Isn't it obvious?" Nemuri snapped. "We go find her and one of us takes custody of her! Show that we haven't truly abandoned her!"

Uncle Mirai gave her a dry look. "Have you not listened to what Nedzu said in her note before she ran away?"

"Huh?"

"She had made it clear she wants nothing to do with any of us," Nedzu spoke up, jumping out of Uncle Aizawa's scarf.  "Let's not forget that she is also knows the Kitsune vigilante. They have eluded us and even toyed with some of the most skilled Pros while making their getaway." Everyone looked down at the ground at his words.

"So what do we do?" Granny asked. "We can't just sit by and do nothing..."

"That may be true, but for now," Nedzu turned to glare at me and Kacchan. "You two are going to have your recommendations pulled, thus making you have to work to getting into UA and take the general entrance exam. Maybe if you pass the exam, I'll probably consider letting you both in the hero course. If not, I'll just send the both of you to the general course and make you work even more to get in the hero course. You'll also be doing community service. Consider yourselves lucky that you two are even allowed to take the entrance exam." My body felt hollow as Nedzu delivered his verdict on us. Why, onee-chan? Why!? Can't you see we were trying to protect you! How dare you betray us like this!

He then looked at Mom and Dad, his beady eyes hateful with rage. "As for you two, I'm docking your pay by seventy-five percent. You and your kid, along with the Bakugos' kid, will be placed under probation and be under tight scrutiny. You will also be doing community service. Your pay cuts will go to every Quirkless foundation in this country, even the hospitals and homeless shelters. You're both lucky the fools in the Hero Commission need you both of as the Symbols of Peace otherwise I would see that your licenses would have been revoked permanently." They both gulped at this, their faces shocked and white as a ghost. "However, the press is just going to love the story how the two top Pro-heroes are considered the worst parents in the nation. I can only imagine the hey-day they will have with this kind of juicy scoop."

"You... you wouldn't!" Dad choked out, his voice raw.

"Oh I would!" Nedzu said his eyes full of rage. "You'll be lucky to have any fans left after the revelation that you two have been neglecting and physically abusing your daughter who couldn't fight back or seek help because of your 'stellar reputations'. It may not get me back in my favorite niece's good graces, but at least it is a start."

With that, he spun on his heel and left, the others right behind him. Only a few, Gran Torino, Granny, Mirai, and Detective Naomasa lingered behind, giving us the most disappointed look, before shaking their heads and finally leaving. Gran Torino made sure to slam the door extra hard on the way out, making more cracks appear in the foundation.

Now it was only us and the Bakugos. Though that didn't last long as Aunt Mitsuki grabbed Kacchan by the ear and dragged him out of the house, with him cussing and screaming the whole time before Masaru walked behind them, the last one to leave before he also gave us a dismayed expression before he went to follow Mitsuki.

Now it was just us. Mom began to cry hysterically, wishing to get our baby girl back. Dad just sat there, wrapping an arm around her to comfort her. But his eyes were empty and hollow.

I got up and stormed back upstairs, stopping outside my sister's room.

No.

She's not my sister.

She destroyed our perfect family, and my and Kacchan's perfect origin story.

She's a monster.

Nothing less and nothing more.

I walked in her mostly barren room, standing in the middle of it.

I clenched my fists, my nails digging into my palms, drawing blood before it dripped onto the molded carpet below.

I then pictured her face, her emotionless face as blood dripped down her face and her face swelled with bruises and burns.

(A/N: Picture this but without the tears)

My fist sank into the bedroom wall, making a hole as I unintentionally activated One For All in my rage.

Then my vision became black, surprising me as I stood in a dark featureless void.

I turned around several times, trying to get my bearings, before I was met with the familiar face of Nana Shimura, plus seven other people that looked blurry and shadowed standing behind her.

Nana spoke first, her expression the picture of disappointment and anger. "You and your father have shamed us as wielders of One For All. And the second we get through to your sister we will relinquish both of you of One For All and give it to her as she is more worthy than either of you."

My eyes widened; how much worse can this day get?!

With that, they all disappeared, making the darkness go with them, making me stumble and fall in surprise.

Getting back to my feet, I brushed myself off before rage once again consumed me.

First that monster tattled on me and Kacchan, making us look like villains in my aunts' and uncles' eyes. Then she made Mom cry and get her and Dad in trouble all because she wanted attention. To make things better, my sweet Melissa turned against me, breaking up with me. And she's going to run off to find that conniving monster. Now me and Kacchan had our recommendations pulled by that white rat all because he wanted get in the monster's good graces, making us have to work with plebeians in the general exam. And there's a chance that me and Kacchan will be in the general course with those weaklings who won't amount to anything other than D-list sidekicks in a D-rank hero agency from what Kacchan has told me about the other courses beneath the hero courses. And to put the cherry on top, me and Dad are on borrowed time with the ability One For All. Once Nana finds that monster then we'll both lose OFA and then that monster will be Number One.

I have to do something to prevent this! After everything, I can't lose OFA! I've lost everything else, I can't bear to lose this too!

POV Switch 3rd Person, Melissa

The blonde bespectacled blonde marched down the walk, many giving her a wide berth at the sight of an enraged female. She has every intention of tracking down her missing cousin, or at the very least, the vigilante known as the Kitsune, and see if she too can join their cause.

She refuses to go back to I-Island, especially not after all that had been revealed to her back with her ex-uncle treating his own daughter like dirt all because she was Quirkless. To think that her former crush, who had the gall to lie to her face about how his sister was doing and be one of the primary reasons her sister in all but blood left. Was all that time they had spent a lie? Especially when she too wanted to help others despite her own Quirkless status?

It didn't matter anymore, as Melissa had a new mission in mind: find the Alabaster Fox. She knows from all of her extensive research that the fox-masked vigilante always has an innate sense to locate anyone Quirkless and seek them out, to either help them or recruit them to their cause. The only thing Melissa couldn't uncover was the vigilante's true identity. Every time she gets close to cracking it, her progress gets interrupted, as if someone is tracking her movements and derails her progress, making her start back at square one. Though one thing was certain from those failed attempts; it means someone important, perhaps in the government, doesn't want the vigilante's identity made public. But what could that mean?

As Melissa ranted in her mind, she wasn't paying a lot of attention to her surroundings, and she didn't see someone directly in her path carrying some technological equipment in a box bigger than themselves. Which was why Melissa was caught off guard when she and the person collided, making them fall to the ground and all that they were carrying to go down with them.

"Itai!" A high yet rough female voice exclaimed. "What the fuck?!"

Clearing her vision, Melissa got her bearings and saw that amidst her getting lost in her train of thoughts, she realized that the person she ran into was a strawberry blonde girl with blue eyes wearing a pink sailor uniform with odd.... bindings, that looked similar to what Midnight would wear on her hero suit. She also wore some goggles, not unlike her friend Mei Hatsume, on top of her head, and some dark leather fingerless gloves on her hands.

She had to admit, she looked kinda beautiful...

"Maybe my cousin was right... I just might be gay after all," Melissa thought to herself with a blush on her face. "At least partially...."

"Oi!" She snapped out of her thoughts when she registered the girl's rough voice. "What are you staring at, huh? Getting yourself an eye full, you perv?" That made Melissa blush harder, as admittedly, she was quite.... curvy.

"I'm so sorry!" Melissa was quick to apologize, not bothering to deny the girl's claim. "I wasn't looking where I was going! I had a lot on my mind, and my cousin was just found out to be missing, as she had run away from home some time back, my cousin's parents were hurting it turns out, and-"

"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" The strawberry blonde looked fairly uncomfortable as the other blonde with glasses had begun to ramble and, unbeknownst to her, had begun crying. "Slow down, chickie... it was an accident. I get it. No need for the waterworks, okay. Here." She handed the crying teen a hankerchief. "Dry your eyes. You'll fog up your glasses if you don't."

"T-thank you...." Melissa took the hankie gratefully, wiping her eyes. She then took note of all of girl's stuff that had fallen when they crashed into each other, her eyes widening as they all look like parts for support items.

She picked up one of them without thinking, admiring the appearance and inspecting the wires sticking out.

The girl smirked. "So you noticed the potential in that, huh? Found some good shit down at that trash yard known as Dagobah Beach. Like I always say, 'One bitch's trash is a queen's treasure.'"

Melissa looked up at her, her previous anger forgotten for the time being. "You make support items?!" She asked, stars appearing around her, as the strawberry blonde had to shield her eyes at the sudden brightness.

"Y-yeah, you could say that," she answered with slight hesitance before she became prideful. "Name's Miu Iruma, golden brain of the century!" She cackled haughtily.

That name rang a bell in Melissa's mind, but where exactly?

She had no time to think on it as she then began to help pick up the parts and pieces and put them back in the box. Miu blinked at her actions; it is not often that someone outside of the gang would help her, even if a good chunk of the group are put off by her cocky personality and vulgar speech and mannerisms.

"Again, I'm sorry for running into like that." Melissa apologized again. "I had a lot on my mind but that is no excuse-"

"Wanna swing by a cafe?" Melissa paused as she was cut off midsentence by the sudden offer.

"Pardon?" Melissa asked, thinking she might have heard wrong.

Miu sighed; she is not the best with social interaction, kind of one of the main reasons she often got picked on before her leader found and saved her. "I know a good place that serves good drinks like coffee and soda and has a kiss-ass wi-fi, so why not swing by there and take your mind off things there? At the very least, if you wanna make it up to me for nearly breaking some of my stuff here..." She added the last part roughly as this was new to her; this is the first time being "nice" to someone that wasn't part of the gang (even if she is coming off as "slightly" stand-offish) so Miu was unsure if this will go south or not.

Meanwhile, Melissa was having an internal debate. On the one hand, she felt as if she couldn't afford to waste time when she should be tracking her cousin down. But on the other, she can't really get anything beneficial accomplished if she doesn't have a clear head, and panic often leads to an early death, as her cousin always told her when she has a mental breakdown.

And a cup of joe can't hurt, can it?

"Okay." She ultimately accepted the invitation.

Miu smirked. "Cool. Now let's go. The joint is about a couple of blocks away. If we hurry we can still make happy hour and we get drinks half off if we get there."

With that, Miu led the way to the aforementioned eatery, with Melissa following after a second of hesitation before deciding to bite the bullet.

Timeskip

The cafe was a sight to behold for Melissa. It looked like a cross between a bar for grownups and an old-fashioned diner from the American 1950's era. It seemed like a normal teen hangout spot as their were patrons in her age group drinking sodas and shakes and chowing down on cheeseburgers and various curries.

"Looks pretty cool, right?" Miu smirked at her awed expression.

"I'll say." Melissa nodded.

"I know some of the people who work here, especially the head barista and the sole owner of the place." Miu informed her before heading to the bar and taking a seat on one of the barstools. She waved Melissa over to the stool next to her, as Melissa stood there almost as if stuck to the ground before she snapped out of her stupor when Miu waved her over.

Just as Melissa took a seat, a blue-haired chick that seemed to be their age came out from the kitchen, wearing spectacles not unlike Melissa's own.

"Hey, Tsumugi!" Miu barked at her, though it seemed the blue-haired barista seemed used to her loud personality as she didn't even bat an eye at her tone.

"Konnichi-wa, Miu-chan. The usual?" She asked.

"Nah. Just slip me a Red Bull slush this time. You know how I like 'em." She turned to Melissa. "What about you, chickie? What's your poison? She also can do alcohol if you want."

Melissa's eyes widened. "But isn't that-"

"Who cares?" Miu cut her off. "She makes the best shit and we got clearance here to get away with it. Just don't go spreading it around."

Melissa closed her mouth, letting it sink in. Then she made a decision that made Miu's eyebrows hit her hairline.

"Got any tequila?"

Maybe this chick isn't such a prude after all...

Timeskip

Miu had to hand it to her; despite it being her first time, Melissa can really hold her liquor. It started off as taking shots of tequila, before it came to the point she requested a full bottle to chug.

At that point, Miu was beginning to get a bit concerned. Sure, she was the one to say they serve booze her even to minors, but she didn't want to be on the receiving end of her boss's ire if she were to find out a new patron got piss-drunk on their first time.

But on the upside, Miu got some interesting info from her new friend, if that is what she can call Melissa.

After a few shots of Tequila (Miu was slurping down a strawberry slush with Red Bull mixed in, her usual drink when she is working on a project with her Nen), the bespectacled blonde began spilling her guts. She told her that her cousin's family did next to nothing for her said cousin, who they just found out she ran away over six months ago. Miu knew exactly who she was talking about as her boss informed the gang she had done just that before they departed from the mainland to their new home on the their private chain of islands. She mentioned having a cousin that was also Quirkless, but she was unsure if it was okay to recruit her as she lived on I-island with her old man, David Shield, and leads something of a sheltered life. So their boss was unsure if Melissa would actually join their gang or have them reported, if only for her cousin's "safety" for she was unaware of the cruelty of what her life became behind closed doors.

But after listening to Melissa spill the tea, Miu knew that this was a golden opportunity for the gang. That and the chick was growing on her, especially when they talk about support items.

While they were talking, Miu sent a text to her leader, giving her the details, before receiving a response that she would be heading straight to their location to see her for herself.

It was nightfall when she made her appearance, donned in her vigilante get-up, complete with her Baneful Fox mask. Melissa sat up (even though she was a bit tipsy as she had downed half the bottle of tequila by this point) when she vaguely recognized the kimono-clad figure as the Kitsune vigilante.

Her eyes widened to the size of dinner plates when the vigilante removed their mask, revealing to be none other than her missing cousin.

"Hey, cuz." She gave a grin befitting of her alias. "Decided to come join us?"

AAANNNNDDD SCENE!

There's the chappie involving our protagonists' tormentors! And of course, if the holders of One For All have any sense of morality or the like they would totally bar both Izuku and Ass Might from utilizing OFA. Doesn't mean that our friend Melodia will be taking up the mantle as she will be making it abundantly clear in the future that she wants nothing to do with having a Quirk of any type. Especially when she has something way better than a Quirk. And she's not one for someone's "sloppy seconds," so there's also that to think about. I'm kind of the same way in that regard. Being raised on hand-me-downs and being everyone's second choice in the place I was raised taught me that much about myself and it helped shows what kind of person someone truly is when they do stuff like that. But I digress....
