His beast: Misha, a Kodiak bearoid, also known as a Gurahl, the largest Old World Shifter.

In the Cowan Shifter Universe, Gurahl are bearmen/ woman. The Kodiak bearoid are the largest of the Ursa species, around ten feet tall and four feet wide.

They turn into chimeric humanoid bear creatures that are more powerful than all Old World Apex predator shifters such as lycans, direwolves, polar and grizzly bearoids, even large felines like tigeroids, and leonoids.
