Victoria's P.O.V

That night, it was too risky for everyone to go to sleep at once, so Eden, Ethan, and I stayed up on the watch for Chain's men. When I saw Mya there on the ground, I knew Chain was going to pay, for everything.
"I can't believe Mya was dead..."
"He has to pay for this."
"Victoria, what are you saying?"
"I have to make a choice, either I get this tracking device out of me and die, or I stay alive and put everyone's life at risk."
"So what are you going to do?"
"I don't know..."
"I gonna go check on the other side of the hideout."
"Okay..." Eden walked over to the other side, leaving me and Ethan alone. It was just awkward silences.
"So..."
"So... we haven't talked about, you know, about what happened between us."
"I don't get it. What there to talk about? We kissed, I didn't mean anything, right?" Ethan looked mad.
"It meant something to me. Why do you think I've been by your side this whole time?"
"To be a good friend, I had-"
"I like you Victoria."
"This could never work."
"What?"
This, us. We could never work. I have a lot on my mind right now."
"What be so important?"
"Everything! Everything is important. I just found out that I'm a child of a rapist, my mom was murdered, I lost a friend, I've killed so many people and I don't know what's wrong with me." Then Ethan pulled me closer and kissed me. I wanted to pull away, but then again I didn't. At that moment, I knew what I have to do.
