(Purple diamonds pov)
After the malachite incident, I saw Steven sitting on a cliff. He must be upset. He looked upset. I decided to join him. "Hey Steven." I said. "Oh hi y/n- I mean purple diamond." He said. I smiled and chuckled. "You know the gems in home world called me Purple p.d.f." I said. "What does p.d.f stand for?" He asked. Oh Steven he's so innocent and childish. "Well, I-it means-." I couldn't finish, I broke down. Steven came up to me quickly. I felt his arms wrap around my waist as he- what was it called? Huh, no. Mug, no. Hug! That's what it was.- he hugged me. It surprised me and the tears slowed down. "I'm sorry. I don't know what happened, but I'm sorry. Then, I heard a noise coming from an electronic box next to Steven. On it read "Connie, incoming call." Steven started at it. "Hey, Steven are you ok?" I asked. He frowned and looked away. "Steven?" I asked. He got up to the edge of the cliff. "Everybody told me gem stuffs dangerous, I guess I didn't believe until now. Dad always seemed apprehensive  and now he's freaking out what do I do? I don't want that for you..." He said and looked at his phone. Then, he pushed it to the side and plugged his ears, I think that's what they are called. I start to slowly push myself toward him. "Everybody tells me life is precious on the planet Earth, and that means you." Steven said and looked through pictures on his electronic box. "But I have to protect you, what if somehow you get hurt what do I do? I don't want that for you," I felt something. He  again put his box to the side. "What am I going to tell you? You're better off not knowing the trouble I'm in.  He was kinda crying. "I don't want you to worry about what I've just seen, about where I've just been." Yeah he was definitely crying. I think that's what it's called. "You don't have to be a part of this, I don't think I want you to be. You don't need this...  You don't need me." Oh my gosh Steven we all need you. I felt. a pang in my heart. Then, he started
to hum and he stopped Connie from calling. Then, he started walking away. "Steven!" I called after him, but before I reached him, I tripped. Yep, dramatic entrance... Well then, I realized I was holding onto the edge of a cliff, so I did the most convenient thing to try to get all of Steven's attention. I decided to scream. Really loudly. It worked and I saw him look at me and finally take notice.

(Steven's pov)
I looked over at purple diamond. I realized I had totally forgotten about her. She was holding onto the edge of a cliff. "Hang on!" I yelled. "What does it look like I'm doing?!" She yelled back. I love that sense of humour. (s/p?) I was freaking out a bit so I tried to pull her up. She was up slightly, but the cliff was breaking. "Wait! If you retract into your gem I can catch you and move you easily!" I told her. She nodded and the ground began to shake. "Hurry!" I yelled and she restricted into her gem. I grabbed it and jumped back onto the cliff with her gem against my stomach. As soon as I jumped a little bit of the edge I was just on time. (#clichemovieschene) I sighed and carried her gem back to the house and placed it on a soft pillow and then, I waited for her to come back. It only took about 30 minutes of waiting before she reformed and plopped down on the pillow. Only this time her hair was different it was about shoulder length with dark purple and some black(?). It was wavy and it looked soft. "Hi Steven, thanks for saving me." She said. She had a smile on her face, but her eyes said she was hiding something that she didn't like(#SeriousSteven). "No prob bob." I replied. "Just call me Purple." She said probably not familiar with how we talk on Earth. She's just like Lapis Lazuli. I feel bad for her (CuteMikeyKitty ). Poor Lapis. Trapped under the ocean. Purple diamond saw how sad I looked. "Hey Steven are you ok? You seem distant." She asked. "Oh, don't worry. I'm fine!" I said with a smile. She only nodded her head and laid down.

(Purple diamond's pov)
I knew that he was hiding something, but I could never force him to do something he doesn't want to do. I acted like I believed him and laid back trying to relax a bit. I felt Steven lay down beside me and scot over next to me. I smiled lightly at his tired figure and put my arm over his shoulders. He opened one of his eyes and wrapped his arm around my waist. I felt heat rise to my cheeks. I bit my bottom lip scared that he would see and I might have to tell him what I feel and how I felt, but when I looked back over at him he was fast asleep. I picked him up and put him on his bed upstairs. I pulled his blankets over him and smiled. He really did look cute when he was asleep. I quickly shook my head to clear my thoughts and went outside. "Hey Pearl." I said, as I saw Pearl walking along the beach. "Hello Purple." She replied. "I put Steven to sleep. He is in his bed resting." I said and walked off to find Amethyst. "Thank you!" I heard Pearl call back at me as I walked off. Then, I felt something hit my back and I retreated into my gem. "Hello Purple diamond. It is good to see your gem again." A voice hissed. I immediately recongized the voice as...

lol I am so evil. Sorry I couldn't resist a cliffhanger. Don't worry I'll work on the next chapter asap.
