Two Days Later/May 16th

Jaelyn

Today is my birthday, I turn 27 today. We won't be going out for my birthday. We are staying in. Fergal, Bridgette and the twins are spending time together as a family. Fergal and I are gonna talk to Bridgette about the divorce.

"Bridgette isn't going to like this when we tell her about our divorce even though it's on hold due to the pandemic," I said. "I know, it's for the best," he said. "Are you gonna see Veronica tonight?" I asked.

"No not tonight. I told her that I was spending time with my kids," he said. "What was her reaction?" I asked. "She wasn't happy but she's a little occupied tho," he said. "Oh," I said. "Yeah," he said.

Bridgette came down the stairs. "Mommy, I got the twins down for a nap," Bridgette said. "Should we tell her now?" I asked. "Let's tell her," he whispered. We nodded. "Thank you, sweetie," I said.

"Bridgette, can you sit? Mom and I have to talk to you," Fergal said. Bridgette sat down on the chair next to us. "So what's up?" Bridgette asked. "Bridgette, I don't know how you will react to this. Fergal and I are getting divorced," I said.

Bridgette looked at us. "Why?" she asked. "We've been together for a very long time along with the ups and down that we went through all these years. As well as someone coming in between us. Sometimes we argue over silly things and our past and I still have that fear of someone coming between us again. So we decided to file for divorce," I said.

Bridgette looks down. "Are you okay, Bridgette?" Fergal asked. She shook her head. "No, I'm not. I need some time to think about this," she said, walking away up the stairs. I sighed as she got sad.

"I didn't expect her reaction. We shouldn't have even told her," I said. "We just told her. She just needs time to express this news," he said. I nodded, covering my head. Fergal wrapped his arm around me.

"Do you have any matches coming up at NXT?" he asked. "Nope. I already gave Chelsea a beating for Lauren, I took that little brat Aliyah to the woodshed," I said. "Now you need to beat up Mrs. Failure for stealing your move," he said.

"Once you finish with Priest, you go for the NXT Championship and I will go for the Women's Championship," I said. "Agreed," he said. I looked at him. My phone went off and it was Lauren FaceTiming me.

"Lauren's calling," I said. "Okay, does she know about us getting divorced?" he asked. I shook my head no. I answered it. "Hey, bestie," I said. Lauren pops on the screen. "Hey, bestie! Happy Birthday!" she said. "Thanks, bestie," I said, smiling.

"Hey, Ferg!" Lauren said. "Hey, Lola, how is being quarantined in Iowa?" he asked. "It's good, I guess. Jon's in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for AEW," she said. "We didn't know that," I said. "Is he still the AEW Champion?" Fergal asked.

"He is. I couldn't be more proud of him," I said. "So Fergal, I saw what Priest did to you during your match against Trevor Lee aka Grimes. How's your knee?" she asked. "It's bruised but I will live," he said.

"Good thing. Jaelyn, thank you for beating up Chelsea Green for me," she said. "No problem. Did you see that I took that little brat Aliyah to the woodshed?" I asked. "Hell yes. Rosalie's been having a bratty attitude since they closed schools down due to Covid," she said.

"Bridgette hasn't gotten the bratty attitude," I said. "Ohh, soon you will get there with her," she said. "Well Bridgette knows better to act like a brat with me. If she does, she gets a privilege taken away or does a chore," I said.

"Good thing. So are you and Fergal going to have some time alone on your birthday?" she asked. "Nah, it's gonna with Bridgette and the twins," I said. "Oh that's sounds good," she said, smiling "So how's your twins; Davina and Elijah?" I asked.

"Oh they are good. They are seven months old. It's not easy raising twins and a 10 year old with Jon being in Ft. Lauderdale for AEW. However, my mom can't help as much as she used to because of it," she said.

"Yeah. While Fergal and I are at NXT, we have Bryson coming over to watch the twins with Bridgette," I said. "That's good. Any news on you two becoming the champions together?" she asked.

"Not yet. I have to deal with Priest before I do that," Fergal said. I nodded. "Well I better let you two go. Have a great birthday," Lauren said. "I will. Talk to you soon," I said, ending the call. I put my phone down.

"So we aren't going to tell Lauren about our divorce?" Fergal asked. "No, I want to wait until the process is over, which would be months from now," I said. "Oh okay. What happens if we decide not to divorce anymore?" he asked.

"Then we will let our attorneys know. They told us that we can call it off at any time but give them a notice," I said. "Good idea," he said. I nodded. "We'll see," I said, smiling. "Hey, I'm gonna take Bridgette to the store with me and we'll be back," he said.

"Are you sure? Is Veronica gonna see you?" I asked. "Nope, we'll come back. I told Veronica I won't see her today and she's okay with it," he said. "Okay," I said. Fergal nodded. "Bridgette, can you come down please," he said.

Bridgette came down stairs. "What?!" she asked, with an attitude. "Bridgette Jolene, lose the attitude," I said. "Sorry, what, Dad Fergal," she asked. "Want to come with me to the store and get some things?" he asked.

"Yes, Dad Fergal," she said. "Well get your shoes on and we'll go. Don't forget your face mask," he said. Bridgette went to grab her mask, then came back downstairs and get her shoes on. "Stay with him, Bridgette," I said to her. Bridgette nodded.

Later on...

Fergal and Bridgette got back home about thirty-five minutes ago. They've been in the kitchen for an hour and don't want me to see anything. The twins and I are in the living room with me. "I wonder what's going on," I whispered to the twins.

They shrugged. "Do you want to say something to Mommy?" I asked. "Happy birthday," Irelynd said. I smiled. "Thank you, sweetie," I said, smiling. "Happy birthday, Mama," FJ said. "Thanks, bubby," I said, smiling.

"Irelynd and FJ, can you come help Daddy?" Fergal asked. "Go to Daddy," I said to the twins. They followed Fergal. I got up and started getting the toys picked up and put them away in the toy chest.

"Jaelyn, can you come in here please?" Fergal asked. I got up off the floor and I went into the kitchen. I don't see anyone. "What's going on?" I asked. "Just follow me," he said, smiling. I sighed, as he opened the back door.

I stepped outside, I saw all my kids. I see a banner. 'Happy Birthday Mom!' "Happy Birthday, Mommy!" they all said. I smiled. "Oh my gosh, thank you so much," I said. "Happy Birthday, Jaelyn," Fergal said.

"How did you pull this off?" I asked. "I had some help with Bridgette. I got the twins in their high chairs and I wanted to make it day special for you," he said. "Thank you," I said, smiling. I hugged him.

"The burgers and hot dogs and other picnik food and just have a family picnic quarantine style," he said. I nodded. "I made some lemonade for you since you love it, Mommy. And I am sorry for acting like a brat earlier," Bridgette whispered.

I nodded. "It's okay, sweetie. Remember when I took that little brat Aliyah from NXT to the woodshed?" I asked. "Yes, Mommy. I watched that match," she said. "Okay, don't act like her. Do you still need time to process our announcement?" I asked. Bridgette nodded.

"Yes, Mommy, I still need to process with Dad Fergal and your announcement on the d-i-v-o-r-c-e," she whispered. "Okay, sweetie. Whenever you're ready to talk about it, just let me and Dad Fergal know," I said. Bridgette nodded.

Fergal

I got everything cleaned up after the picnic on the back porch. Jaelyn's getting the twins in bed. Bridgette's reading her book. I put the leftovers away. My phone went off and it was Veronica calling me.

I put my phone on silent as I finished cleaning up everything. I put my phone in my jacket pocket. I went upstairs to check on the twins. FJ was still slightly awake and Irelynd's sleeping. I played some white noise to help FJ sleep.

I walked over to mine and Jae's old room and I checked on her. I knocked on the door. "Come in," she said. I opened the door and saw Jaelyn sitting on the bed. "Hey," I said. Jaelyn looks up, taking her glasses off.

"Hey," she said. "I got everything cleaned up and put away," I said. "Oh thank you. Thanks for everything, Fergal," she said. "No problem. So I'm gonna head out and see Veronica for a bit. I will be back later," I said.

"Oh okay. Just give me a heads up. If you decide to stay with her, that's fine with me," she said. "Okay. I will be back before midnight," I said. Jaelyn nodded. "See ya," she said. I nodded, shutting the door.

I left the house and went to Veronica's apartment. I got inside and I saw Veronica sitting on her couch. "Hey, babe," I said, sitting down. "I tried calling you," Veronica said. "Sorry, I had my phone in the car.

"Oh okay. How is Jaelyn?" she asked. "She's good," I said. Veronica nodded. "So are you going back to her house later?" she asked. "I told her I'll be back by midnight," I said. "Are you two still sleeping in the same bed?" she asked.

"No, I sleep in the guest bedroom, near the twins," I said. "Oh okay. I wasn't sure," she said. "Do you think I was going to sleep in the same bet with my soon-to-be ex-wife?" I asked. "Oh most couples who are going through divorce usually do," she said.

"Did you take your medication like your psychiatrist told you to?" I asked. "Yes, I did. I had to talk to my therapist as well. Damn, you can be an asshole," she said. "I can't rush a divorce over night. It doesn't work like that," I said.

Veronica sighed, taking a sip of her water bottle. "Is that water?" I asked. "Yes, do you need to smell it?" she said, throwing it at me. I moved out of the way so it doesn't hit me. I picked it up and opened it.

It smells like water. "You are right, it's water," I said, giving it back to her. Veronica took another sip of water. I sat next to her. Veronica cuddled with me. I wrapped my arm around her. "So what did you guys do for Jaelyn's birthday?" she asked.

"Just had a family picnic quarantine style," I said. "That sounded fun. Was her baby dad there?" she asked. "No, he had to work and during the pandemic, people aren't working. So he gets over time every week," I said.

"Oh okay," she said. "Why do you ask?" I asked. Veronica shrugged. "Just wondering," she said. "Well he's got a girlfriend who's on the clock, saving lives," I said. "Oh okay," she said. I looked at her and wondered why she's asking me about Bryson.
